We've been remodeling our house for 4 months. There have been plenty of ups and downs in the process. One of the most Pleasant parts of this experience was dealing with Cherry Tree Design. Their staff was wonderful to work with and the quality of their product was more than we expected. We are trying to figure out how to implement more of their products into our home design. I definitely would recommend them to anyone.

Our shoji was built and delivered just as specified and arrived on time and in perfect condition. We are more than pleased with the result, especially the superb craftsmanship. I worked with Bev Piette from beginning to end--from design details to paperwork to shipping--and she was knowledgable and helpful throughout. My installer only had experience with traditional pocket doors and needed an example of the wheels to mount the shelf and track ahead of the shoji's arrival. Bev promptly sent out a pair of wheels the same day, Friday, and we had them on Monday--a big help to my installer and typical of the excellent service I received.

Shoji are sturdy and exactly the size we requested. Brackets and rollers are well designed.

Cherry Tree Design has a wonderful staff - everything that was told to me about the material used, the care taken, the date of completion and delivery was accurate. All questions were patiently answered and there was a good deal of support in making decisions. I am completely
satisfied with the result.

Gorgeous door. Well packaged. Slightly damaged, but was able to reinsert the paper into the frame.
Company was willing to replace, but I kept it as is because I was able to fix it.
Installation was tricky, since I had to remove molding above doorway to get it to hang low enough. Once that was done, everything went smoothly. High quality hardware included. Easily leveled, squared and plumbed.

I deal with a lot of vendors and craftsman as a professional at a design-build firm, and my experiences with Cherry Tree Design have been nothing but professional, informative and reliable. The price quotes we receive from Bev are always comprehensive, and she seems to always be available for any questions or configuration discussions. I am also happy to say that they keep us informed each step of the way on our order so that we know exactly when we'll receive it and can schedule accordingly. Our discerning clients are always happy with the quality of the Shoji doors in our projects, which is really saying a lot. After dealing with them for almost 10 years, I can say with certainty that Cherry Tree Design is truly an exceptional company.

Bev was very helpful in ordering process. delivery was quick however the door was not in the package. Bev contacted the shipping comepany and tracked down the door. When it arrived, the door was very well protected and packed. Installation was easy (we have a professional carpenter to do the installation). The finish and craftmenship was beautiful. It looks amazing in my Japanese tea house.

I love my screens and I love the service that they provided. they were very helpful on the phone, and helped me decide what I needed. The color And screen choices were perfect. Everything turned out the way I wanted it to. I have wanted shoji screens for a long time and finally have them in my house and love the way they look. The screen arrived with the paper pushed up on two panels. It was packed very well so I think it was a shipper issue. The Valence was not cut and mitered to size. I found this disappointing. I had a friend that was a excellent woodworker with a miter and corner clamps. I would expect at this price it would have been finished. Every other thing was fine.

The process of placing the order was extremely professional and Bev was excellent to work with. We had issues, however, with door jambs arriving without stops, shoji doors arriving with "B" sides of the wood not matching the rest of the doors. We also experienced some damage during shipping, but I only hold Cherry Tree Design responsible for 10% of this.

We already had shoji doors to our bathroom and ordered a custom medicine cabinet with folding shoji doors to match

We needed a door that did not swing to provide privacy in a bathroom. The one panel shoji is perfect. The company worked with my handyman before we ordered to make sure we get exactly what we need. They were very helpful. The order came on time. The door is great. Nice quality. The price is a bit high but we could not have found anything else in that range anyway. We love it!

Our experience could not have been better from the ordering to the final product. Our doors are beautiful, light weight and they slide so easily. Perfect in every way.

When we built our new home we had the option of french doors on the "flex" room which is kind of like an office or could be a sitting room or even an extra bedroom, thus the name. It was an upcharge for the doors so we went with the standard wide opening. Later we regretted it. It was too open. When we found your website and your exotic doors my wife and I knew it was the perfect solution. I liked the fact there were plenty of pictures to look at. The doors are expesive and that gave us more confidence to pull the trigger. You can only tell so much from pictures so we waited with anticipation for the real thing. Well the doors are beautiful and a real compliment to our home. On arrival we were unaware until unpacking that some of the rails were damaged on one end. Not a problem in my case since I had to shorten them anyway. I thought they could have been package better, however, like the doors themselve which came in a crate that looked like it could survive a train wreck. Installation instructions were good and I was able to get the entire assembly and install done in a few hours. A few after thoughts: I was a bit concerned that the wide 4 rail header seamed to flex allot. In retrospect i wish I had ripped the header to accomodate just 2 rails instead of 4 since we store 2 doors on one side and 2 on the other and pull them togther to close. I also wish I had ordered 2 finger pulls instead of just one as I originally thought We would store them all on one side and pull them all shut from the one side instead of from both sides to the center. Also the installer might be wise to consider that in a 4 rail 4 door configuration there will be a pretty big gap between the most out board door and the wall and configer that door closest to any adjacent wall and the most inboard door closest to the side where the gap will be the least obvious. That being said we love the doors and are very glad we ordered them.

the only problem we had was with the "bumpers" which allow one door to pull the next door, and so on. The bumpers slipped and did not catch each other. We replaced them with larger pieces, and now they work.
An interesting fact: when the screens are stacked together, the rice paper inserts turn blue. When they are fully opened, it is white.
I am a designer. This is my third order with Cherry Tree Design, and once again I have a happy client.

Ordering was easy. The staff was knowledgable, and flexible. I submitted my own design, and it was executed flawlessly. The custom closet doors I ordered came at the exact time they were promised. The workmanship was of excellent quality, and aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend Cherry Tree Design without reservation.

I am so happy that we decided on the shoji screens. We nearly opted for all-wood doors for our closets because of the longer delivery time but they were worth waiting for! We use the light inside the closet with closed screens for subtle ambience lighting and the bedroom looks bigger and very zen! Best decision of our entire remodel! Thank you Cherry Tree Design!

We placed an order for our doors in January. They were shipped in the time frame as promised. They arrived in a crate with a sensor that indicated the package suffered some shock by the freight company but because the crate was so sturdily built, there was no damage to the doors. They are beautiful. We couldn't be happier. Bev, our contact person at Cherry Tree Design, was extremely helpful and made suggestions to customize the design to fit our specific location. We highly recommend Cherry Tree Design.
