everything is wrong, except this crappy app is A PARAGON of what garbage shittiest wannabe something must be, half of my contacts excluded?? for no reason, manual add up is impossible? no explanation why and it simply does not work, avoid like a plague and don't wast your money

I had to pay $6.99 to App store to download imo messenger on my iPhone. This is not a big deal but the app does not work.
Imo has full access to my list of contacts which is less than 100 people. Nevertheless, this app does not see many of them.
There is no way to enter a new contact manually. This option does not work. Many options in the menu don't work.
My friend from New Zealand has imo account, but we can't see each other.
Technical support does not answer my emails.
Conclusion: waste of money and time.
If I could put less then one star, I'd put -5.

The shittiest most feature-poor messenger in the world. Full of intrusive ads, bugs and anti-features made by assholes for assholes (and Russians/GCC people who can't get a working VPN).

Doesn't mutе music when people call, doesn't cancel out previous calls, disrupts bluetooth devices when a call comes in. Sometimes just keeps ringing even when you've declined the call and until you reboot your phone (srsly).

Connectivity is shit, and when it breaks down - no sound is played so you don't know the other end hears you or not.

Did you vibe-code the whole thing on the weekend or do you guys just not give a shit, I think it's both.

Thank you for making me see how excellent Telegram is (where it's not banned) and WhatsApp (for older people and business, where it's not banned for calls).

Oh and don't get me started on the weirdos in the random voice chatrooms titled "Let's get Married" being pushed in the main chat window - I'd rather double murder suicide than marry an IMO user.

It hurts to know this exists and is fairly popular due to actually good messengers being censored.

My wife’s account is hacked and we have no control of deleting the account as the hacker managed to use their contact details as the account holder. So we contacted imo via email and filled in an online application form and got nothing back in reply. It’s been over 1 week and yet nothing has been done. It’s a messed up company and the hackers are sending junk messages for money to many of the contracts in the profile. Does anyone know whom I can complain about imo?

Very very very bad imo software. So many add coming why?? When i go out from imo, after coming add, this not good. I remove now this software.

Good quality calls (a huge improvement over the past 5+ years), but the adverts following a call are very intrusive. They cover the whole page and it's impossible to go a step back even after watching the ad. The app needs to be closed and opened again for another call.

Also, if you make a non-video call and then you decide you want to show something on camera, it's impossible to just open the camera during that call. You have to hang up and make another video call. If Viber, WhatsApp, Skype, Meet and many other apps allow this, why can't Imo? Either that, or remove the option for calls and only have video calls (where there is an option to turn the camera on and off as needed).

Not happy with long distance phone calls, lots of commercials. I recommend whatsapp and telegram, easy to use, easy to have group chat, no commercials.
