Excellent Customer Service
I haven't had the opportunity to try the radios yet, but I wanted to leave a comment regarding Rapid Radios Customer Service.
I was having a problem activating my second radio. I sent an e-mail to customer service describing my problem. Immediately I received an e-mail back saying that someone would respond soon. Within 30 minutes I received a response. Ally L. was my service representative.
Ally did an outstanding job walking me through the activation process. Within a short time, I was able to get set up.
Then I made an error and "deleted" my radios. I wrote back to Ally, and she immediately responded and said that she would access my account and set everything back up.
I'm in my 70's and some things are more of a challenge to me. Ally said not to worry. Within an hour I was operational.
My wife and I can't wait to start using our radios. Ally L. made our day by listening to our problem, understanding and then giving instructions on how to resolve. Then ultimately correcting my mistakes and getting my account ready for use.

Rapid Radios awesome response
I purchased six radios and have been using them to learn all the basics. I have called Rapid Radios with questions and Patrick has answered my questions promptly. Also he was able to fix the issue I was having and took the time to explain what steps he took to resolve the issue (that I created).

Customer service does not answer calls…
Customer service does not answer calls or emails.
27 calls placed to their sales department. All calls are automatically hung up on after 15 minutes.
No emails responded to for 2 days now.
Worst issue... They screen their reviews on their website. All negative reviews are deleted by the admin to inflate their rating.
Preliminary update: I received a call today from a customer service representative this morning. Although there is still concern regarding them filtering out negative reviews from their own website, which is still seen as pretty shady, the rep worked to find a fair a reasonable solution.
I have upgraded this review to 3-Stars and may increase it to 4-Stars once the radios have been tested and the service evaluated. Please note that if you buy new radios, they will come with 1 year of prepaid National Coverage. However, if you want Global Coverage from day one, you will forfeit the first prepaid year and have to pay $100 for National and Global coverage during the first year. Normally, these are billed out during the second year at $50 for National Coverage and $50 more ($100 total) for Global Coverage. This policy is not disclosed anywhere on their website. It is only disclosed if you can get through to customer service and desire to upgrade to Global Coverage during the first year.
I will revisit this review in 30 days and let you all know how things unfold and give an honest and unbiased review of the actual product and the support team's follow-up.

False advertising there is a yearly fee
It says no monthly fees ever !! Well after 1 year there is a yearly fee that they do don’t disclose false advertisement definitely a bait and switch call asked for manger never called back I left 2 messages .

These Are More Than Walkie Talkies
We have had ZERO issues with our radios! We’ve tested them all across the country. For example, a call from Florida to Alaska was clear, concise, static free, and proved these are not toys. Our group chats are just as easy locally. I have had to call customer care once and was helped very quickly and we highly recommend Rapid Radios to everyone who needs to be connected.

DO NOT BUY!! WILL NOT WORK
Purchase these to have while riding dirt bikes with my sons. We had an emergency in St George Utah. We had our Rapid radios that I purchased last year. I left to go back to our vehicle to get help. These radios would not communicate at all. No signal, nothing! I eventually had to call 911 and have one of my sons airlifted out and these rapid radios served NO PURPOSE AT ALL! WAIST OF MONEY! ABSOLUTE DOG SHIT IF A PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY!

These things don't work
These things don't work. I bought them to use in the mountains and before I bought them they guaranteed they would work. These are worse than using a cell phone. Don't buy these, especially if you actually want or need to communicate or if your life depends on having communication. Better off with cheap two way radios. Garbage, especially for what you will pay. Joke of a company.
Regarding your reply you are correct your website does say you're the only nationwide lte network and you do provide a map for coverage. Well your map is inaccurate because it does not work in the town of Pitkin, Colorado and certainly not in the mountain areas. On your own website you say in all capital letters ANYWHERE with UNLIMITED range with an asterisk. No where on your page does it have a reference for the asterisk. Regardless your radios do not work as advertised and people should know that before they make a purchase.
The fact you can't find my purchase with my name says a lot about your company. Thanks for helping make my case that your company is inadequate. You only send me daily texts with your current 70% off sale. When I called yesterday the person I spoke to could care less and basically repeated your talking points on your reply.
The point is your products don't work as advertised and when it comes to being in places where you rely on these in the event of an emergency they will not work and people should know that.
As of today Rapid Radios are sending me two new radios that should have updated coverage. It will be a year to thirteen months before I know if they work. I appreciate Rapid Radios working to make this right.

This is the first time I have called with a problem. This was handled so professionally and so fast too. Customer Service is outstanding. I had a problem with both of my radios and they are shipping me new ones. In fact the young man that waited on me has already sent me an email showing the tracking number. That took less than 5 minutes. Great service, Thank you again.

We are a large RV group and decided to purchase the rapid radios for convoying. They arrived very fast. We asked Customer Support for help adding our group. Erika was a jewel. She told us what we needed, as well as added all our radios to our group. Grade A customer support

I would have given them a 5-star rating
I have been happy with customer service.
I ordered 2 radios 2 yrs ago and thought I had both radios programmed however only one was programmed.
Makes sense since I only paid $19.99for the service.
I had used the radio mostly just listening to the weather band.
So, I didn't really take notice the emergency channels weren't programmed.
Anyhow 2 yrs later and I asked if I could still get the radio programmed.
They said yes and I was told it would be no charge.
I was surprised as I was willing to pay the $19.99. That to me is above and beyond great customer service.
The only quirk was when they returned my radio I was sent an extra one along with mine.
They sent me a prepaid return label as they did when I sent the original back.
Obviously, someone made a packing/shipping mistake.
Good thing that I am an honest person as I could have just kept it!
Now, because I am inconvenienced and have to go to the Post Office again, I gave them the 4 stars instead of 5.
Overall, I I believe they are a good company and would definitely purchase from them again.

I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if you could. Do not invest in their products. Rapid Radios keeps deleting my comment asking questions about their product I thought would be a good solution for my family that is in remote areas of the country.Clearly not a company worth investing in if you won’t let me ask more in depth questions about your product…..I’ll be sure to share this with everyone I know. I was asking: They did not have the information on their site so I asked: “If they function LTE and 4G they only work in areas where there is cell service? So not compatible in remote areas with no service? Do they work in the remote back country? What happens if the nation looses cell towers or cell service? Do they still work?” They replied no they don’t work if you’re outside a 25 mile radius of a cell tower, and they would forward my “concern” of deleted comments to their “team” however they blocked my account from being able to reply and thank them for the information. What a shit company.
