Very easy buying experience. Excellent description of products with clear and competitive prices followed up by continual communication throughout purchase and up to delivery.
I purchased a monitor that has been suffering from the same recurring fault every few months. Each time, I have to spend weeks documenting the issue, arranging shipment, waiting for the repair, and then waiting again for the monitor to be returned. The problem keeps coming back despite the repair attempts.
The manufacturer has made it clear that they will not replace the monitor, even though this particular unit appears to be inherently faulty. The retailer, in turn, states that a replacement can only be approved if the manufacturer determines that further repairs are not economically viable.
However, the manufacturer has also indicated that they do not intend to reach such a conclusion. As a result, the retailer refuses to replace the unit, leaving me trapped in an endless cycle of repairs for the same defect.
This experience has cost me well over 200e.
Do not make the same mistake. Even if you buy from the .ie domain, it may lead you to believe you are dealing with an Irish retailer, but the business operates from the UK. The EU consumer law won't apply.
Great company to deal with. They keep you informed about your order and offer quick delivery options and deal with problems swiftly.

We ordered four large appliances, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave on the 21st May and were told they would arrive 1st June and so we moved into our new house on the 30th May (no appliances).
The appliances didnt arrive on the 1st June so we rang and were told the hisense fridge would take 3 weeks more, we asked which fridges were ready to go, they found one, we agreed and customer service said everything would be delivered on the 4th June. 3rd June and no tracking or emails, no good, we ring and everything is going to take another 2 weeks. We asked to speak to a supervisor repeatedly, nobody would talk to us. We asked to cancel the order and were told they would. We went and order all the appliances again from currys, and now several after that call we get a message from buyitdirect saying "Yay, your order has been dispatched".... Unbelievable, Im actually stunned at how bad the customer service is, its insane, lies upon lies
Do not order from this company!! Item ordered from Appliances Direct for next day delivery. One week on, the item hasn’t been delivered and refund has been refused whilst they investigate with their courier!
Absolute shower of a company. Falsely advertising stock levels to get the sale, then eventually delivering weeks late only to discover that they have sent an air conditioning unit not fit for purpose in the UK. As others have complained on reddit, they have sent out a model with window brackets for internal opening windows only. Support has been an absolute joke - trying to fob me off with silly responses implying I've not put the bracket on properly (even the instruction manual confirms the bracket supplied is internal windows only!) and left waiting a day for a response at least every time. Do not order from here.

2 out of 4 laptops needed to be retrrned as one was the wring soec and was also covered with a dangerously fitted skin, the other the bezel was broken and hanging off. Woeful returns - AVOID!!
The item arrived Damaged and not had a reply from you as to how you plan on rectifying the issue.
Over the last year we have bought several items from appliances Direct, and we have no complaints whatsoever, they have always delivered well within the the agreed time frame, and keep you updated with regular emails and texts on the progress of your order the delivery of teams have always been respectful and helpful.

DPD didn’t re deliver and sent back so was never received
We ordered out vertical radiator and when it was delivered the box was damaged. The driver said he had checked the packaging beneath and it was undamaged So we accepted delivery. The radiator was damaged underneath. We reported it and was told to upload photos of the but could not as the claim had not been updated we also could not update the return preference. I have since been able to upload the photos but have heard nothing since. Our decorating is being done tomorrow and we don’t know when or if the rad will be replaced.

There was no problem with the product (as far as I can tell), looks good and was decent value.
BUT, the service and delivery was a huge let-down and cost me 3 days worth of lost time. On 2nd April 2026 I made a large order (bath, toilet, taps, accessories etc) and chose to have them delivered on Tuesday 7th April.
I got an email and text from Better Bathrooms (owned by BID) saying they could actually deliver one day early on Monday 6th even though it was a bank holiday. I agreed and was given a time slot of 1pm-5pm. Lo and behold Monday comes and it's 6pm and there's no sign of them despite an email (probably automated) saying it was out for delivery.
Never mind, I thought, as it'll probably be here first thing Tuesday now like originally intended. At about 1pm I realise that probably wasn't gonna be happening and the bathroom fitters were getting impatient so I rang them.
The lady on the phone said "oh the delivery van broke down", we can deliver it on Thursday 9th now some time in the afternoon. I asked her why I hadn't been informed of any of this, and why their mistake now meant I would be losing nearly 3 days. She sort of mumbled something and said she would refund the delivery (she didn't) and raise an official complaint (she didn't).
I rang the next day and was fobbed off again by a man who seemed completely uninterested in doing his job and he assured me he would raise a complaint and I'd receive an acknowledgement and a follow up. Well, it's over a month later and none of that has happened. All that did happen is that my bathroom took 3 days longer than necessary and cost me £550 extra in wasted labour costs.
Stock and prices were good, customer service and delivery were not. I wouldn't use them again.

Placed an order for a door through b &q. Heard nothing so called b &q. They informed us that the item, a door had not yet been dispatched. They messaged buy it direct who emailed to say there was a delay. Unfortunately we therefore had to cancel the door fitter as the door would not be guaranteed to arrive in time. I tried emailing but the email address is not valid and the phone number is a premium rate number.
Went to b & q a few days later and they again confirmed the item had not shipped. Today, after it was supposed to have been delivered I received an email saying status awaiting shipment and asking g if I had received the door. Why would you ask that if it clearly states it hasnt shipped yet. Why are you not sending the item? You cannot blame b &q or the courier as you yourselves have not even arranged delivery yet.
So it seems to me this company is a scam. They took my money and a week later, I have no door. You cannot get hold of them without spending more money and the. There's still no guarantee I'm not just left on hold. Who even charges you to call them these days? The company are registered as a legit company but I would strongly against ordering from these people. I have spent 170 on the door and lost my fitting appointment now too. Avoid. Scam.

They basically pre buy items from China and will only ship when they have enough orders .
It was so late weeks and weeks and when it arrived ( radiator for a bathroom ) the pipes didn’t even reach the wall and was a totally different color .
They would not even refund me £35 to get the parts needed and fitted to make it actually look the item listed .
The answer was from the manager your plumber should have known it may need extra parts
This has been going on months now .
I will never buy anything again from this company
