I write this with regret having had good customer service in the shop…but don’t touch them with a barge pole. If something goes wrong the customer service level is non-existent, even with an extended warranty. It takes a minimum of 4 working days just to even accept that you’ve contacted them…every time you reply.

A semi-commercial crosstrainer on a home installation failed after about a month but it took weeks to sort out a replacement. The replacement failed THE DAY AFTER installation (which is now 39 days ago!) and having been asked to take it away and refund due to goods and services not being fit for purpose…they managed to send just a man with a van…not someone who can disassemble it to remove it DESPITE it being the same subcontractor that installed it.

Building a home gym, so visited the Camberley store. Great shop, superb range of products and the store the team offered great advice for me planning the space. I will be back later in year to order a force USA m10.

Courtney from customer support was excellent. I noticed something had dropped in price by £150, 2 days after we purchased. Courtney is sorting a refund to price match the new price. FitShop is a good place to shop for all your fitness items. Thank you Fitshop, once I have sorted my garage out I will be back for a multi gym of some kind.

I purchased a Schwinn 700IC exercise bike from Fitshop and unfortunately my experience of trying to return it has been extremely frustrating.

I requested the return within Fitshop's return period. The bike had only been assembled and briefly tested before I decided to return it.

Initially I was told that because the bike had been assembled, a 25% deduction would apply. I questioned this because Fitshop's published terms refer to deductions based on diminished value. After further correspondence, another member of staff clarified that the 25% figure is not actually fixed and that the condition of the bike would be assessed once returned.

I was also told Fitshop could arrange collection. I agreed to this and then had to repeatedly chase for a response. Eventually I was quoted £70 for collection, which I accepted. I am now once again waiting for Fitshop to actually arrange the collection.

The biggest issue for me isn't even the £70 collection charge. It's the communication. Responses can take many days, sometimes around a week, and every time there is progress the process seems to stop again until I chase.

This is an expensive piece of equipment sitting in my home waiting to be returned, and what should be a straightforward return has become unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming.

I will update this review once the return and refund have been completed. At the moment, based on the after-sales service and returns experience, I would be very reluctant to purchase expensive equipment from Fitshop again.

Brilliant customer service from Nathan who arranged for free delivery and installation of the Cardiostrong TX90 treadmill that has a comparable retail price to what I spent on the faulty Bowflex T25 that was just coming out of warranty. The Cardiostrong is their own brand, very popular and more importantly it's a reliable proven machine. I'm absolutely delighted.

I bought a bike 3 months ago and it was faulty and it still hasn't been repaired to a working condition. The customer service has been so bad the whole company should be flushed down the toilet.
