New soft play area
We visited the new soft play area then bowling afterwards. The new soft play area is extremely hot. We didn’t last the full 2 hrs we were booked for. Is there anyway of getting air-con installed?
I understand the reasoning for the separate areas but as a parent that has twins who are 8 months old and a 5 year old it was difficult to manage as I couldn’t leave my twins on their own but my 5 year old wanted me to play with him and he got very upset that he couldn’t come in and just sit with his sisters. Would there be a rule that if the parents are sat in there that the older siblings could come in if they remained calm?
It was also a long wait for the doors to be opened to get in and out as there was only 1 person at the desk. I don’t think we’d be coming back to the soft play area.
The bowling and arcades were great on the other hand we will come back for that.

Small issues with Tenpin
I prefer to do bowling with bowling shoes on as it helps you to slide. I'm not too keen on pins with string but can understand why as it helps to set them up quicker. I personally found the light show on the lane quite off putting but I am quite old and I suppose it's quite appealing to the younger audience.

Great place for adults & kids
Just been re-furbished which has greatly improved the place. Booked 2 games of bowling online which was easy. staff were friendly. The cafe area looked very nice although we didn't make use of it.

First visit after the refurb... wow it is fantastic so much more to offer, opened up the space and pretty much all on one level now very clean and welcoming, possibly a little light on staff but did not cause any issues

We had a great time at the newly refurbished tenpin in York.
We only had a few games of bowling but they have really improved the business with a range of activities for all ages. Bowling, soft play area, escape rooms, karaoke rooms, interactive darts, arcade machines with pool tables and air hockey and a very well stocked bar and kitchen.
We originally booked 2 games on line but add a third onto the end as we were having a great time. They were very well priced and the staff were more than helpful.
We all had a great experience and will be going back to try out the other activities.

The revamped Ten Pin much improved with a range of other activities in the one building.
The staff were helpful and polite.
Bowling area and soft play clean.
We booked one game of bowling with our grandchildren and other family members with a break for food in the eating area before soft play. This was an excellent way of keeping children occupied and something for adults as well.
The food was awful and the reason for only 3 stars.
We would not eat at Ten Pin again. The Big Dog did not arrive until the rest of us had nearly finished and only after reminding staff and was flavourless and almost cold, sandwich virtually no filling so very dry and all the fries were undercooked .

Bowling was great
Bowling was great, good deal during week for meal and bowling, however, the toilets were not clean. That was the only disappointing thing.
