Worst customer experience EVER - BUYER BEWARE

Worst customer experience EVER!

I’ve been buying shirts for years from them. I got 3 that were of different quality than my past orders and so I asked to exchange the white one for a different color since the same exact shirts are now thinner and more see through. I was completely gaslit by the customer service person. Telling me I was wrong and that nothing has changed when I can easily and clearly compare all my past shirts to the 3 new I had just received.

Instead of exchanging me one color like I asked within their return policy, they told me to never order from them again if I was unhappy.

I’m so sad that a company I’ve told people about for years and have bought from for years would change their quality. But I’m even more sad that they would treat me with such disdain and the worst customer experience I’ve ever had.

It was MULTIPLE emails they were like this.

Don’t order from them if you ever think you could have an issue with the shirts. I hope more people heed the warnings of all these bad reviews and instead buy from somewhere else.

High hopes quickly grounded.

I told this company my body type and specifically requested tall sizes from the start. Despite that, none of the first three shirts they sent fit correctly. I ended up having to order two more separate sizes—each costing more money—one after another until I had about $80 invested in just two shirts. They could have simply sent the tall sizes at the beginning instead of dog-walking me toward the exact size I requested in the first place. It feels like this system is designed to force you to spend money you don’t need to spend.

Loved the shirts until...

I went through the original fitting process, which was actually pretty cool. I found the size and type of shirt that I liked initially. Months later, I decided I wanted to get a few more shirts. I decided to order some of the same exact ones I had gotten previously, as well as order a different fabric that I hadn't tried yet.

The order came, and I really liked the new fabric and wanted to return the others.

I reached out via email and didn't get any response initially. I emailed again and finally got a response. I explained my situation and the response I received was.... "you've tried the Shake & Bake several times previously. Nothing new to "try".

They badgered me with questions and initially didn't give any indication that they would be willing to accept a return. After multiple back-and-forth through email, they finally relented, but their tone communication and willingness to be accommodating was very, very frustrating.

If their return policy was more clear and their customer service was better, this would be a positive review.

I really like the shirts, but the customer service experience was so bad that it makes me never want to work with them or support their business.

They Will Not Allow You To Order A Different Size Other Than Your Last Order!

So I'm NOT returning a shirt, I just wanted TO BUY MORE! However, I wanted a different size different from what I ordered 3 years, 1 year and 2 months ago. Fyi, I did the try all three keep the right size and return the other two, or keep all, routine.

But this is the email I got back from Customer Service:
"Wouldn't get caught up in the Letters and Numbers too much though.
But you have already tried the fits between the i4 and i6 and sent them back... so that further confirms the i4 and i6 are you fits!"

If I'm running the business, I would say, "ok, we know how our body changes overtime, don't worry we'll send you the sizes that you returned so you can try them again" and ORDER MORE!!!

My advice, if you're thinking of buying this shirt. Don't gain or loss weight because they don't want you to order the size that's different from your last!

True classic is it better way to go

When I got the original fitting package even though I selected tall every single one of them were too short. I then ordered a t-shirt anyways after being suggested I get the wavelength size and it's been two business days and I've got no tracking number or any response from my three or four emails even though their website states that they reply between 1 and 2 hours in business days. Very disappointed

They discolor really quickly....like really quickly

I bought six of their shirts three months ago.

They fit great and were generally comfortable. No problems there.

But they just don't stand up. I've worn the black t-shirt I bought six times and it is no longer recognizable as black. It kind of has an orange undertone to it at this point and has faded beyond recognition.

These shirts aren't expensive, but I do expect them to perform better than the 10 wears you get out of an H&M t-shirt.

But unfortunately they don't. Won't be buying again.

Beware

Beware! The tshirts seem good but wear out after the first wash. The one I have washed 4 times is now rolling up from the bottom. Color fading out is normal. On to of that, their return process is extremely misleading. You have to pay for returns and even then, they give you credits not a refund to the original payment method. In today's world, if that is your policy, be explicit about it so us customers dont feel cheated. What am I going to do with $100 in credits when I do not like the tshirts any more?

Advertised future credit may be a scam

3fit promotes the customer paying an extra fee to keep all three shirts in the initial “fitting“ package with the promise that the customer will have a $30 credit toward future orders. When I went online to order more of the fit that I had chosen, it was out of stock. Customer Service promised to email me when it became available again, but that was over a month ago. Follow up emails have been unanswered. Maybe they are out of business.

After responding to their promo, angry for not getting any responses, this is the response I got.

"3 FIT Theory Support

Nah, we replied to your last email... but you never responded"

Not even a name provided so I knew who was providing such horrible service!

I have been charged the original fee, plus $20, plus $15 and I wanted to return all 3 shirts.

SERIOUSLY GREAT T-SHIRTS

Today I was ironing a couple of the 3 Fit Theory t-shirts that I own, and for grins decided to look at the reviews on the company. Pretty surprised at all of the negative customer service reviews, to be honest. So let me tell you about my experience with these shirts. First of all, I wear t-shirts ALL OF THE TIME, so I consider myself a t-shirt Connoisseur. I own very expensive dress t-shirts down to lowly everyday cheap wear. I stumbled on 3 Fit about a year ago, and their fit process, and followup customer service was excellent. Picked teeshirt size I wanted, sent the others back, order a new batch, and all was well. Now about the shirts - The shirts are stitched better than most other very expensive t's, the 100% cotton version is thick, subtle, soft, and even after a half dozen washings still look terrific. Wanna tell the quality of a well put together t-shirt? Iron it. See how it lays out, how clean the armpit stitching is, whether it pulls in any direction when flat. Poor quality stuff bunches up at the collar, around the armpit section, and across the body. Personally, I love the feel and quality of 3 Fit Theory, and for the price you simply can't find a better made T-shirt.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. The three shirts they sent were too tight, ok, shouldn’t be a problem according to their advertising. I paid an “refit fee of $6”, explained that all three shirts are too small and that I sent all three back, their response was wear and wash the i13 size a few more times and let us know what you think. Hello, I just said I sent all three back to you! I guess I was too rude to them and they haven’t emailed me back yet. What a waste of money, buyer beware.

If there were a hall of fame for bad customer service, 3FIT Theory would be the main exhibit.

Here’s the reality: they only respond via email—no phone, no live help. I’ve raised the same issue not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times, but six times, and every reply has been the same frustrating loop. They keep insisting I can be “fitted” for $3–6 when the actual charge is $39. That’s not a misunderstanding—that’s deception.

And it’s not just me. A quick look at Trustpilot (2.5/5 score with 76% 1-star reviews) shows the pattern:
• Customers get ghosted after emailing for help.
• Others are told their return “isn’t a big deal” because postage would cost too much—yes, that was an actual customer service response.
• Hidden $10 non-refundable fitting fees pop up after the fact.
• Sizes are inconsistent, and they charge people just to test fit shirts.

Reddit backs this up: people report condescending replies, being forced to pay shipping even with “premium” memberships, and some even had their accounts canceled and fees refunded without warning—no explanation, no dialogue. One user called it “the single worst customer experience I’ve ever had.”

That’s exactly how it feels. This company isn’t just unhelpful—they’re actively hostile to customers.

Bottom line: this is an absolute scam, stay away. I wish I had read the Trustpilot and Reddit reviews before handing them a dime. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

If I could show you the screenshots…

If I could show you the screenshots from his email and messages to me, you’d be astonished and wouldn’t want to do business with this guy. I went to order a couple shirts to try them. I forgot that I tried them a couple years ago, apparently returned them, and because I did that he no longer will allow me to buy products from his company. Then he banned me from his Instagram account. I just want everybody to know what kind of business person this is and that it’s not worth spending the money. There are too many other options out there.

Terrible Product and Service

The people at the company are rude, condescending, and refuse to accommodate you with anything. Sizes are absurd. The medium fits like a small from any other brand and all three sizes didn't fit. Then, they charge you to try on other sizes. If you have any kind of muscle in your chest it will be skin tight. So basically it cost me $10 to find out that their product and their service are garbage.

Also, check out the discrepancy in reviews. You can tell which reviews they curate an which they don't'.

I had a great experience with this…

I had a great experience with this company. They sent me three shirts as promised — I returned two and ended up ordering 12 more in the size that fit best. I also reached out to customer service to ask about the pocket T-shirts only being available in black, white, and grey. They responded quickly and were super helpful. The shirts feel and fit amazing. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again!

Over rated. Over priced. NO customer service.

Bad customer service would be a step up for 3FIT Theory. Do not expect them to provide customer service if there's anything you don't like about your t-shirts once you receive them. I place a sizeable order and upgraded to the one year premium shipping. There was one t-shirt i didn't like and wanted to exchange it for another color. Here's the response from their customer support team who is one person: "Hey, is it really that big of a deal? It's one shirt at $16.50. You can post it back to us to switch it out... but with postage, you'd end up losing money over a minor shade difference."
For the couple of bucks it would have cost them to stand by their brand they lost a customer for life which they could care less about. Customer service at its best...

My husband subscribed to the program…

My husband subscribed to the program last July. He.originally liked the program, styles of shirts, and colors available.
However, the hem of one of the T-shirts became unraveled. I have sent a minimum of 4 to 5 emails to the company over the past 6 to 8 months hoping for a replacement product.
There has been no reply despite their website saying replies are within one to two days.
There is no phone number to contact the company as well.
We are extremely disappointed in Customer Service and do not plan to continue with their program.

Horrible customer service and hidden fee

Can’t get anyone to call me. Everything had to be done through email. They finally tell me in Their opinion they should just refund me. Only then do I find out there is a $10 non-refundable fitting charge.

Customer service is awful and the $10 non-refundable fitting charge should be made very clear and upfront. It’s hidden and not publicized, I would never have ordered these shirts to try them.

The customer service was ABHORRENT!!
I don't care what THEY say, but their website is confusing. Therefore I emailed them for help. I was met w/ unbelievable petulant condescending feedback. with this attitude that I am an idiot for not figuring it out. I let them know ( whoever it was), that I was not happy w/ their attitude. Then they DOUBLED DOWN, with the attitude, insults and condescension. I again replied that I did not appreciate the attitude. They never at all responded to my complaint of their attitude. One shirt kind of fit, so I am returning the other two. Honestly, I have not had a more horrible insulting customer service experience in my life. It appears whoever I was corresponding with literally does NOT care if I walk away or not. Their boss needs to know ( For all I know he/she was probably the owner )
