My Experience
I found that being able to do this at my own pace was a great help. Life got in the way sometimes and not being pressured helped immensely.
I love the Facebook group and read the comments as often as I can, I find the questions and answers helpful, and have had my own questions snaswered.
The whole course is easy to use online which I found a blessing.

Believing in myself
Believing in myself is probably the biggest hurdle I’ve (almost!) overcome. The support from and within AMC is fabulous and very motivating. I highly recommend them as a training platform and I am so happy with my results to date, although it hasn’t been a ‘cakewalk’ getting there.
The old grey matter is being put through its paces by learning new ideas and skills and I’m so thrilled I bit the bullet and signed up to do the Master Celebrant course.
Also, there’s no pressure of deadlines for submitting work, which is nice.
I’ve tried to set my own deadlines but I’m not beating myself up if I fail along the way. It’s just part of the process of learning.

Having completed both funerals and weddings as part of the master celebrant certificate I can say that it tested me in a good way! I learned loads about the industry and all the practical elements that you just aren’t aware of when you’re a guest

A really enjoyable course that feels substantial and properly useful.

Exceptional Mentorship
The Academy of Modern Celebrancy stands out for its exceptional mentorship. Both my mentors so far have been experienced, professional, encouraging and constructive and given me the confidence to grow in my new profession. They are wonderful human beings who lead by example by setting high standards while being kind, supportive and inspiring. The self-study modules enable you to work at your own pace, and most of them are very good, but it is the intensive one-to-one work with the mentors that really makes this training worthwhile. I have been delighted with my experience so far. I have completed the funeral and naming courses and look forward to working on weddings, which I am sure will be equally fulfilling.

Funeral Celebrant Course 5 Stars!
A comprehensive and challenging course that fully prepares one for Funeral Celebrancy. The Course module's are structured brilliantly and layer up as you go through the course and each module has a workbook that can be referred back to with everything you need. My mentor was fabulous and gave insightful and thoughtful feedback, I felt as though Julie was genuinely invested in my progress and was part of my final assessments going so well. Go AMC!!

The most empowering training with The AMC
My training with the AMC has been an amazing experience. From the very beginning, the learning felt immersive, supportive, and allowed me to connect with the kind of celebrant I wanted to become. The training wasn’t just about gaining skills and knowledge. It was about being guided, stretched, and encouraged in a way that allowed me to grow with confidence and authenticity.
Don’t get me wrong it was challenging but in all the right ways and was also incredibly empowering.

I love working with AMC, my mentor Helen was so encouraging with feedback which ultimately made my first script read much better and I enjoyed the experience of online reading. Great mix of learning styles.
The mix of course materials on line as well as the contact during the mentor period was essential in gaining knowledge and growing in confidence. It is great to feel part of a community and I am now confident to start work as a qualified celebrant.

This course has actually changed my view of me and what is possible...
This course has actually changed my view of how I see myself. I now believe that anything is possible, if you can dream it, then you can do it. I had many set backs over the duration of this course with a major accident (broken back), house move, passing of close friends and family, but throughout it all, I knew that my heart and mind needed to finish this course. It has thought me resilience, faith, belief and joy, joy that I really needed in my life and through the act and art of writing, I have found it again. Deciding to do this wedding celebrancy course was initially a huge leap of faith for me. This AMC course has been clearly structured and designed by working, experienced celebrants, so it is an actual font of knowledge to guide you step by step. The student page on FB is great and if you need any question answered, other students and mentors will help you pretty much instantly. You are never on your own with the AMC and the feeling you get when you graduate is amazing!! My self confidence has increased and I'm so excited to now be my own boss and feel proud of what I have achieved.

Wedding and Funeral Training - PASSED!!!
I have passed both my wedding and funeral celebrant training courses with AMC. Both of my mentors have been supportive and really want to see their students progress so we can strive in the celebrancy business.
Outside of the mentor training, there is also a wealth of support from the AMC as a whole, whether this be via Facebook groups or online.
You can work at your own pace, which is perfect for those of us who also need to work alongside our studies. Personally, I am delighted that I chose AMC for my celebrant training. I have my naming training to complete and feel ready and confident to do this. Thanks AMC!

AMC Review
As always what makes a really great experience is the people that you get to go through it with.
The feedback that you get throughout the course is helpful, honest and timely. It really is there to make you a better celebrant, from people who are living the role right now.
The course is set out to get you into the learning. It really makes you think and gets you to do the research that is invaluable.
And although the practical side of things can be nerve wracking, it's probably the worst you're ever going to feel. If you can perform in front of your family and friends then doing a ceremony for real will be a breeze.
The online community through Facebook is so useful. You feel that you are going through the training with like-minded people who have your back and are there to truly support you, whether that is the mentors or other students.
The after care service is amazing too! From the graduation event to giving advice on how to kickstart your business and setting up your own website, is second to none.
I would definitely recommend AMC if you are serious about kickstarting your career as a celebrant.
