Paediatrician but said he needs are the same care as an average child, never have I ever seen such a corrupt company. These people are not even qualified but think they know better than the professionals cancelled my application and will just use my sons blue badge. Waste of time and effort

Applied for a Merlin Ride Access Pass and had a horrible experience.
Staff didn't know that Merlin don't give young children free carer's tickets and kept referring to this in our request even though I made it clear I needed a Ride Access Queue system pass multiple times.
I was made to detail at length all the evidence in the documentation I submitted making the process very time consuming and admin heavy.
It's outsourced from Merlin so kept bouncing between Merlin and Access Pass. Merlin also have confusing collections as I'm a hotel guest and enter the park through a different area than a standard guest.
I did not get the pass we need and have given up frankly. A waste of time and not at all inclusive, especially as I'm already drowning in admin as a carer.

Exhausting with no empathy
The whole experience of advocating for my child has been exhausting, it doesn’t seem to matter what evidence you gain the answer is no until multiple reviews and complaints. The email system is faceless and would recommend ignoring the message and wait to speak to a person as this has been the only way I have had any progress.

Unfair and complicated renewal process
Update: still no further forward claiming I haven't sent updated proof on my form when I did. Had the same issue during my initial application when they hadn't bothered to check the proof I uploaded to my form. I getting responses every 4 days or so for simple requests. Kept asking for them to contact me via WhatsApp which is an option for messaging and they still haven't and are not reading my emails properly. Exhausting.
My access card really improved getting out of the house for me and my experiences, I started to feel at ease about going out, especially to busy places. However, the renewal process has been frustrating.
Sent proof that needs hadn't changed and wasn't issued a card with the same symbols despite nothing changing and providing more detailed proof than I did before, this was not enough, apparently. The renewal process is as lengthy as the initial application. I struggle with filling out forms and have minimal help so it took a lot to me to go through it anyway.
I am having to either go without my card or pay £60 for my doctor to tick a box on a form the Access Card team sent to me which isn't practical for me currently as I cannot work full time, due to my disability.
My money was paid in September, this is still not resolved. I have disabilities that affect my cognitive thinking and organisation, amongst other things so the head space for this is minimal, which is a shame as in turn it has meant that I have missed out on attending trips out as my old card expired in July.
Yet again disabled people have to jump through hurdles to get the help they need.
I'm really disappointed in my experience of renewing my card.
