Are we failing our kids with programs like Acellus? Here’s what I’ve learned from my 5th grader .

Parents really need to go into the “failed” section and see what’s actually being missed. I noticed my child was skipping through questions multiple times without truly learning the material.

The hard truth? If they have access to data, they can easily Google the answers instead of understanding them. That’s why I wish more programs included workbooks,because when it’s on paper, I can take the electronics away and know the work is actually being done.

I don’t think many parents realize how easy it is for kids to do this,looking up answers, rushing through lessons, or speeding up videos while using a second device to play on a game while they should be listening to the teaching videos .. If they’re just getting by with Google, we’re setting them up to FAIL in the long run.

That’s why it’s so important to sit down with your kids,or quietly observe how they’re getting everything done so fast. You’ll learn a lot just by watching .

That’s exactly how I discovered the shortcuts my child was using… kids can be sneaky like that!

Next year, I’m switching things up,doing both online and workbooks. She can watch the lessons, but when it’s workbook time, the electronics are going away… no Googling the answers or playing Roblox while listening to the teaching videos

Parents—another thing that helped me: watch the lesson videos yourself. Then later that same day, after your child finishes, ask them a few simple questions about what they just watched

Can they explain it… or do they say they forgot?

That’s one of the biggest ways I realized my child wasn’t really paying attention.
This is her first year of homeschooling and she had public school iPads since kindergarten .
She knows Google has the answers.

Now, not all kids are like this,this really applies more to the computer-savvy ones who know how to work around things.

But it’s still something parents should be aware of, especially with online learning.

My son is doing very well. He’s having intellectual conversations and he’s eager to learn about different things especially science!!!

This is an excellent school!! My daughter went from a c student in regular school where she was constantly bullied, to a A+++ student with Acellus!!! You guys rock!!!!

I love the subjects, and it is easy to sign up.

My granddaughter went from getting an f in math and struggling with her anxiety in public homeschooling. Accellus made it so much easier. She is now a straightvA student. They break the steps down in math for her to understand. They do not continue to move forward until she does understand. Unlike public homeschooling. Love that she now loves school and is even doing a few classes in the next grade up from where she is. I wish I had enrolled her in accellus a lot earlier!

Acellus Academy has been a life changer for our family. We are beyond grateful for this program and have watched our kids thrive with their independently focused experiences and lessons.

My daughter has been attending Acellus since February. This has been the best decision ever, this program is awesome! Only thing I regret is not enrolling her sooner.

We love the flexibility and the explanations provided with the lessons!

This helped my child catch up in school and graduate
