Disappointing
For the time I have been dealing with them, the advertised phone number (on Google) is inactive. Then, try finding another number on their website....not at all easy, no simple 'contact us'. They don't return answer-phone messages (or take 2-3 days if they do). My assessment is they don't employ enough administrative staff.
The assessment process was poor. I had to stop the assessor and ask their name and introduce my son....not how to handle a teenager.
They have not fulfilled the timescales they advised for the ADHD report to be produced.

So far so good. I’m still awaiting a copy of my assessment which will allow me to take the next step.
The form filling is quite difficult as it is very thorough however the assessment process was straightforward and the clinician was very understanding and supportive.

Great communication. Dr was just lovely and spoke to me with compassion and understanding. The whole process was easy.

ADHD Direct have been so great, They send you out reminders for everything so you don't get overwhelmed and are very clear with their communications. My assessor was also supportive and thorough and I've found all the follow up support very useful as well
Professional, efficient and kind
The ADHD assessment and treatment process has been terrific. I was fully expecting this to be a slow and difficult experience, but ADHD Direct have been really professional, efficient and kind. My only regret is not booking my assessment earlier - I procrastinated about that for quite some time!

What amazing people ADHD Direct are, I honestly don't know where I would be without them! After the NHS made it clear they won't help me with my diagnosis or with medication I was left feeling completely stuck and hopeless. I contacted ADHD direct and with in a week I had an assessment and was on medication which has completely transformed my life. Every person I have dealt with has been kind, knowledgeable and understanding. Even the paperwork has been developed for people with ADHD, you get 1 email and links within that email that takes you to the forms you need to fill out. Even ordering the medication is easy. I can't recommend them highly enough, they have changed my life. Thank you to the whole team 🙏

ADHD Direct was straightforward and professional. I was excited and also super nervous at various stages of the process. They were good at answering the phone to my calls which is also brilliant. My assessor, Adreana was great. I was particularly happy with her because of her special interest in ADHD and menopause. She took me through the assessment with kindness and just enough humour to make it comfortable without losing any professionalism. She hit exactly the right balance.

I realise e-mail is available, but sometimes a quick call is all it would take.

Emails went to junk at first and I didn’t realise so thought it was poor communication but after this was sorted everything has been great so far
Medication
My daughter was assessed through the Right to Choose program, and we were referred to our local CAMHS for medication. However, CAMHS indicated that they needed to reassess her! My daughter was struggling significantly, and we couldn't wait for CAMHS to take action. I then reached out to ADHD Direct, and within a week, she began her medication. We are currently in the titration phase, and any questions regarding her medication have been answered promptly and thoroughly. So far, we have been very pleased with the service we have received.

I’m so pleased with my experience so far, everyone has been supportive, my emails have been responded to quickly and my initial assessment was dare I say it a fun experience (thank you Nicky). I am waiting on my GP to send a copy of my summary care record now so I can’t comment on the meds process just yet but so far all has been great and my future looks a lot brighter than it did a few weeks ago - thanks everyone

Great start, but bumpy now
Was great to get my first appointment so quickly and finally the diagnosis I have been waiting for. But now trying to get my first prescription is proving so difficult. Every email takes at least 48 hours for them to respond to, and 3 weeks on I still have no meds yet.

Following a disappointing experience with ADHD 360, who required me to pay for a new diagnosis and an increased treatment package before starting medication trials, I researched alternative providers to transfer my care. ADHD Direct’s “Transfer Your Care” service stood out. A manager reviewed my original ADHD 360 diagnosis, and I was promptly booked with a highly competent clinician, Katie, for a tailored treatment plan.
Katie titrated my Elvanse dosage from 30 mg to 50 mg, which proved ideal. Three months later, during a follow-up, my shared care plan was approved, and I now receive my medication through the NHS. This process has transformed my life, I’m sharply focused, achieving new goals both at work and beyond, with significantly reduced ADHD symptoms.
ADHD Direct’s care has been exemplary. Their communication is clear and effective, appointments are always punctual, and they supported me in stabilising my medication swiftly and efficiently. I recommend their outstanding services.

extremely rude and arrogant management team .the receptionists are quite nice however. clinical lead made false claims - didn't bother double checking information - terribly unprofessional.dont touch them with a bargepole!

I would recommend ADHD direct. I found my whole experience (transfer of care/medication assessment) to be streamlined and thorough. Replies are prompt and questions answered fully.
As a person with ADHD I can find the whole process of making appointments and filling out forms very overwhelming but ADHD direct make everything really clear and simple to follow.

Great service
We had a really great experience with ADHD Direct for my daughter’s ADHD assessment. The whole process was incredibly well organised from start to finish, which made everything feel smooth and stress-free.
Katie, who carried out the assessment, was absolutely lovely – she made Charlotte feel at ease right away. It was clear that she really understood how to connect with young people and made the whole experience feel very supportive and encouraging. Everything was explained clearly in a way that Charlotte could understand, and Katie also shared some helpful suggestions for ways to improve things going forward.
We especially appreciated the extra links and resources that were given to Charlotte to read and watch afterwards – it made her feel empowered and more in control, which was so lovely to see.
I’d highly recommend ADHD Direct to any families going through this process. Thank you for such a positive and professional service!
