I recently had an internal wall treated for rising damp by Advanced Damp. The treatment took 2 days to complete and Sam did a great job. He arrived on both days when he said he would and although I knew it was going to be a messy job, he kept the mess to a minimum, and cleared up really well when he finished the job.

The plaster has now dried and it’s a really smooth job. It’s now ready to be decorated.

I’m really pleased I went with Advanced Damp to get the rising damp remedied.

Advanced Damp damp-proofed a major room for us very successfully a couple of years ago. Very quick and took great care to protect the rest of the property from mess and cleared up beautifully. Recently we called them out to quote of another piece of work. Instead of doing that, they recommended ways to remediate the problem that would not require work from them - commendable honesty in this day and age.

Advanced Damp were recommended to me by a friend to do a damp survey report as I am selling my property and the buyer's surveyor requested one. They arrived early, was happy to wait for me to arrive and quickly told me that there was no work required as all of the readings were satisfactory.

Nothing but good things to say about this company. I started with a damp survey because I wasn't sure what kind of damp I had. I ended up having rising damp, as well as penetrating damp. I was able to meet the surveyor, so he walked me through everything and explained the treatments for each, which was great! I decided to move forward which the quote and they discounted the price of the survey, so I was really glad I started with the survey since it became free. The job took a few days, but the contractor Keith was very friendly, so I didn't mind having him in my house. He was respectful and cleaned up after the work was completed. Looks as good as new!!!! Very happy!

Looks like I’ve been unlucky with the service compared with most. Firstly I was doubled booked in, then I had two surveyors turn up at the same time who clearly were put out by this and caused an uncomfortable situation. The surveyor I had was condescending and quite intimidating and made me feel silly for asking questions (I don’t know about damp and buildings, that’s why I have paid for a survey!). It’s been 2 weeks and we have still not received the survey, despite chasing. Won’t be moving forward with them following the survey I’m afraid (if I ever receive it!).

ASK FOR LEAH !!! GREAT COMPANY GREAT SERVICE WENT TO SITE DONE THE SURVEY AND ISSUED THE REPORT ONCE PAYMENT AND EVEN GAVE ME THE REMEDIALS PROMPTLY WILL BE USING THEM FOR ALL MY DAMP SURVEYS MOVING FORWARD !

I had a damp survey done by Stuart. He was a lovely guy and explained everything in clear detail so I could understand before we had the work carried out. Really satisfied with the service

Brilliant damp proofing company. My property was in a terrible state when the work begun. We had severe condensation causing a build up of mould on the walls. The walls were cleaned efficiently and safely, they then repainted them with a anti condensation paint, and installed a PIV ventilation system. After 6 weeks my home is completely free of mould. I couldn't be happier with the results

Lovely team from start to finish. Sam who undertook our job was nice, professional, and took great care of our home which was very difficult with such a dusty job.

Advanced Damp Limited seem legitimate but I am wondering if they are a fraud. The reviews here are amazing, they have a website that looks legitimate and they are registered at companies house. And so I contacted them. They did a survey which I paid for in advance. Then when they came to do the job, they came up with new issues that the costly survey had not spotted. I then had to decide whether or not to add to the already expensive job at hand while I was losing confidence in the process. But that was not the worse of it. They turned up a day late to the job and did not do much while there. They then failed to turn up again. This is after I have already paid for 50% of a very expensive quote. When chasing them, I was getting fobbed off with worker buying materials or owner is abroad while my tenant was having to take time off work over several days expecting them to turn up. I still don't know if they will come and do the work or whether I have been scammed. Has anyone else had this experience with them?

I highly recommend advanced damp Ltd and staff member Stephen for walking me through the process and answering every single question I had to ask.

Based on a damp survey carried out, I was able to pull out of buying a flat that could have cost me more in the future due to damp and condensation issues in the loft. I was fortunate to find everything out from a survey that wasn’t very expensive beforehand.

Will also consider using again for more surveys as still hunting for a flat, thanks guys for your hard work.
