Where my first lawyer just turned silent when things got complicated, these lawyers stepped in and guided me from beginning to the end in a professional and comforting way. I had 3 attempts of purchasing land and in 2 occasions I got advice not to go forward with the purchase of these properties, for which I am grateful. They clearly respected my interest, unlike the real estate agents. A point of improvement could be the guidance and instructions of the local solicitors and notary. In my case that was not optimum. Nevertheless I am more than happy to have paid for this service, It most likely saved me a lot of problems and money. Thank you Teresa and Tatiana for you help!

I hired Elsa Melancia through AdvocateAbroad to clarify a demand letter from a company in Portugal. Initially, she was polite and responsive, which gave me confidence in her ability to handle my case. However, my experience after paying the fee was extremely disappointing.

Communication became painfully slow, with emails often ignored. Responses only came when I threatened to escalate the matter with AdvocateAbroad or requested a refund. Even after more than two months, Elsa has not made any significant progress on my case.

This lack of professionalism and accountability is deeply frustrating, especially when dealing with time-sensitive legal matters like ours. Miguel was fluent in multiple languages and he was INSANELY proficient in local case law as it applied to divorce. He coordinated seamlessly with my US lawyer, developed very effective strategies and was familiar with all the lawyers my ex wife was hiring in the area in addition to having litigated against them multiple times. What should have been a disaster (personally and financially), Miguel turned in to a winning situation for us. The entire case took 3 years and he never missed a beat.
