Kyoko was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, flexible, and thorough throughout the tour. She did a great job communicating expectations and keeping everything organized. She’s a strong asset to the team and should absolutely continue leading tours.
The tour itself covered great locations and offered a solid overview of the area. Where it falls short, however, is in the execution of time at each stop.
A recurring issue was the limited “free time” to actually experience the highlights. For example, at one stop that included both a temple and a market, the market was clearly the main attraction with its shops and food. We were told we’d have 90 minutes total, but after walking to the entrance and spending time on the temple portion, we were left with only about 45 minutes to explore. That only allowed us to visit a handful of shops without venturing too far, since we had to factor in the return time.
At the Imperial Palace, the experience was particularly underwhelming—we essentially viewed it from the front entrance without any real opportunity to explore. It felt like something that could have been pointed out in passing rather than a dedicated stop.
The same pattern continued at other major sites. At the famous 1,000 gates, we arrived early (which was great), but the 20–30 minutes allotted wasn’t nearly enough time to take in the full experience, which realistically requires at least an hour. In Kyoto, the limited time blocks were again challenging, especially with the crowds slowing everything down.
The bamboo forest stop was especially disappointing. Arriving mid-afternoon meant it was extremely crowded, making it difficult to enjoy the scenery or get meaningful photos. It took away from what should have been a peaceful highlight of the trip.
Overall, the destinations themselves are excellent, but the itinerary feels rushed. More thoughtful time allocation—or fewer stops with deeper experiences—would significantly improve the tour. As it stands, we often found ourselves debating whether we needed to wake up at 5 a.m. to explore key locations on our own before the tour just to truly enjoy them. The day getting to Mt Fuji was exceptional. From the stops, the time, the scenery, the hotel.. just great!

Very well organized and tour guide was amazing

Our tour guide Nop, our drivers and hotel accommodations were just wonderful. We had a group of 12 so the van got a little tight on the long drives and stops between Krabi and our time in Phuket. Will definitely use AW again!

We had such a wonderful and memorable time on our Bangkok and Phuket trip. Our son especially loved getting up close with the animals—taking photos with monkeys, lemurs, a flying squirrel, a sea hawk, and even elephants was a highlight for him. This was our second time booking with Affordable World, and once again we were impressed by the incredible value we received for the price. The experience truly exceeded our expectations.

China was amazing! The hotels were fantastic and guides did a great job showing the country to us. Would recommend affordable world to others. Only wish they had more options for Europe trips.

The entire trip was above and beyond what I expected. The package from the flights to ground transportation to accommodations to the guide were top notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. I also never give online reviews but I had an amazing trip and experience in Thailand.

I purchased the Istanbul and Egypt package and it was truly a once in a lifetime trip. Everything was planned and delivered as described. The hotels were very good and the guides were amazing. I had an experience of a lifetime. This is my third trip booking with this Comoany as I had previously done China and Greece and highly recommend it.

This is the last day of our trip to Thailand! We had a great time with Kitty and NoPi. All three hotels in Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket offered great accommodations! Very good breakfast included in all hotels! Beautiful views, temples and boat rides for a very reasonable price. I would recommend to everyone!

We took a trip with affordable worlds in Thailand and it was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend and we will definitely be booking another trip with them. Way more affordable than if we did it ourselves, and it came with Transportation and translation and Excursions. It was perfect!

I chose the 10 day Thailand itinerary to Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket. My main issue was the flight booking. I paid for my package in full but my flight wasn’t booked in a timely manner. When it was booked, I got an email saying I had to pay $700 for the price difference. I had to cite their policy that said there were no additional charges after it was paid in full. They booked the flight but it was basic economy the whole way and I couldn’t upgrade.
Noom, our guide was nice and very knowledgeable. The tours and stops were short. I would’ve loved more time at the floating market and the train market. The hotels in Bangkok and Krabi were beautiful. The food was great at both. The Phuket hotel was TERRIBLE. There was mildew and mold, service was poor, a few people had flooding in their rooms. Transportation was okay, there was only one bus without AC.

The trip add ons were amazing. The elephant sanctuary was a dream come true. That made the entire trip worth it. I look forward to using Affordable World again.

Everything was easy as could be. It was an amazing trip from the first day and until we left. I was a solo traveler and met the most incredible people on this tour. I would highly recommend this trip to Thailand. The tour guides, Kitty and Sharky, we absolutely the the best tour guides ever. Funny and engaging. Affordable World was top notch with their customer service, got back to me promptly, whether it was a phone call or email. Hotels and transportation were top notch. Worth every penny!! 5 Stars to Affordable World, Kitty and Sharky.

My wife and I celebrated our 15th anniversary in Thailand with Affordable World. We did the 10 day trip. We had the time of our lives!! I was wary at first since I haven't done a tour like this but by the end of the trip I told my wife I wouldn't wanna travel to a foreign country trip without booking with Affordable World.
Our guides were the most awesome people and knew Thailand very well since they were both locals who grew up in Thailand. Sharky and Kitty are the guides everyone should request. Especially Sharky. He cared so much about everyone in the group. We had a lot of people in our group but he gave each and every person an individualized experience to make sure they were having a good time. There was a lot of work that went into our tour. I'm not sure how these guys made money on us cuz we got it for cheap and we got to stay in the nicest hotels. One of our hotels was right on the beach!!
They included SOOOOO much with the tour. I thought the only way we'd have a good time is if we added tours and paid our own way on a lot of stuff. I was dead wrong. They included breakfast every single day and lunch on a few of the days. We ate like royalty!! They also included some amazing tours and great advice on what to do outside the tour. A lot of the things you can do in Thailand are super cheap or no cost at all.
I highly highly recommend this trip with Affordable World. Especially if you can get Sharky as your tour guide.

A trip of a lifetime! The guide was amazing and went out of his way to make sure we all had everything we needed or wanted. Each day was a wonderfully orchestrated event for us to enjoy. I would certainly use Affordable World again to travel!
