I find Allara simple and easy to use, plus they have excellent professionals!

I genuinely like Dr. Stephanie Leiva, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. My concerns are not with her care, but with Allara’s systems, communication, and overall patient support.

Over the course of my care, I have repeatedly experienced communication failures, delayed responses to important medical questions, difficulty obtaining prescription refills and lab orders, and an ongoing need to chase down my own care. Most recently, I needed blood work completed and discovered that my lab order had been sent to the wrong laboratory even after clear instructions to send labs to Lab Corp. I ultimately had to rearrange my schedule and go to a different lab—Quest, without an appointment, having to wait for over an hour to get my blood drawn.

As a patient, I should not have to spend this much time following up on basic administrative tasks, tracking down lab orders, waiting for responses, and coordinating care that should already be managed through the provider’s office. When you’re dealing with hormone replacement therapy and medication adjustments, timely communication matters. Delays can directly affect a patient’s health, symptoms, and quality of life.

What has been most frustrating is that these issues are not isolated incidents. The pattern has been consistent throughout my care that I now expect delays and communication breakdowns whenever I need assistance. The app, messaging system, and patient support processes appear poorly coordinated, creating unnecessary stress for patients who are already seeking help for complex health concerns.

I want to be clear that Dr. Stephanie Leiva has been knowledgeable, kind, and helpful whenever I have been able to connect with her. Unfortunately, the systems surrounding her make it difficult to receive timely and reliable care.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Allara for women’s healthcare or hormone management. The concept is excellent, but the execution and patient support infrastructure need significant improvement.

Since getting a doctor appointment in my city within network at a proper distance and that has the knowledge to treat perimenopause and menopause symptoms is not easy, I’ve been relying on Allara to get my HTR and it’s been a life changing experience! Thanks!

I had my first appointment with a registered dietitian today. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my RD was very warm and caring. She made me feel heard and understood. It was easy to open up to her and to be honest. I feel like the goals we set after the first appointment are very achievable and I don’t feel overwhelmed—no big changes to my diet more just gathering more information. I was hesitant before the appointment, but feel confident and excited to continue this journey.

Got matched very well with a provider. Scheduling was easy. This is a quick appt & online service, and I was surprised by how much we were able to cover and appreciated the time and space offered to care being collaborative (aka, didnt get the vibe it was over-booked).

The dietician Anna Rasmussen from Allara has been a wonderful support. I really appreciate the quick responses, and the hard work she puts in to make sure i am getting the best and appropriate care I need. Thank you Allara for having wonderful workers like Anna!

I have been working with Allara for the past 6 months to manage my thyroid and other hormone issues. I have worked with an endocrinologist, OBGYN, and a nutritionist. It has been wonderful to have my care be collaborated on with all my doctors. My care feels cohesive and well thought out and my health has improved tremendously.

From initial session to follow throughs, this team has been fantastic in providing that extra service that the base medical system lacks: advocating for your health and your wellbeing should be seen as a proactive and positive, not be considered as 'health care anxiety'.

My visit with Aoife today was great. She was very tentative and gave me a lot of information to help me along my journey to better health.

Nutritionist, Emily Vadnais, is amazing. My experience with her was great. I learned a lot, felt like she listened to my needs and helped identify areas of improvement for my dietary journey.

Allara read me the wrong blood test results. Told me I had health conditions that I don’t. I’m the one who caught the error. This is a huge HiPAA violation among other things. And to top it all off — they are refusing to refund me. Horrible service.

You may see that Allara is blaming the lab — a lab I never went to. Their relationship and protocols are to blame. They’ve offered me a “free follow up visit” but are not compensating me for the visit I paid for where I listened to someone else’s results, or the associated pain/suffering.

I love the way everything is explained. Its so refreshing to have professionals that dont talk down to you or tell you its all in your head. Honestly the best choice I have ever made

I commented on an instagram post and was blocked. Allara will charge you for your visit without notifying you and will take your money without any notice. They will allow you to do your medical visits, saying your insurance was accepted, and then they will send you a bill and auto charge you in 3 days, even if you contact them to set up a payment plan. Be aware that once they have your credit card information they will use it without your consent. This is the second time I have been charged out of the blue and now have to file disputes against Allara health. Would not recommend using at all. Seek a private doctor instead.
