The absolute worst bank, with no staff, bare minimum opening hours and a horrific long queue to speak to an advisor on the phone because they have no in-person branches. How are you catering to Muslim clients who chose Al Rayan to remain sharia compliant? Disgraceful.

opening hours? what opening hours. Closed when it should be open
There is a reason why this bank receives so many negative reviews, they just are not professional. Opening hours is 10-4, yeah right. I have been calling from 10am to 12:40 and still closed and no mention of this on their website. I cannot wait to close my account with them.

Beware The App
I have been a customer with Al Ryan for some years.The rates for savers is very good.the problem is that they insist on dealing with matters through an app,which just doesnt work.It will not recognise me.I have spent an hour on this today and i have made no progress.So when my bond matures i will find a bank that acts in amore customer friendly manner.

Failure to tell me my account was open
Failure to tell me my account was open. Then a welcome pack came telling me my FSCS limit was £85000 when in fact it has been at £120000 for nearly 3 months

They sent me a letter saying they are…
They sent me a letter saying they are closing down my accounts, cannot give me a reason why and are not prepared to go into a discussion relating to this. Very random, out of the blue and absolutely ridiculous bank. I have done nothing wrong, not broken any rules or regulations, have had my account for years with them. This is not a normal bank i would highly avoid, it needs shutting down completely. Seriously this has taken me by surprise.
In response to the reply below, never received such contact. And when i spoke on the phone the guy wouldnt tell me the reason said he couldnt, and that i would need to transfer all my money out from all accounts, if he had i could have clarified. Atleast find out if said communication was made before telling them their entire account is being closed down. I have more than enough money in 2 accounts, the other 2 yes i dont due to changes in profit rates, and more than happy for them to be closed down. But to close down all my accounts? Makes no sense

Polite agents, useless bank
Helpful phone agents doing their best but they are working for a bank with zero focus on customer service. £100k in a bank account that they won’t let me access - unless I send a hard copy letter. Months after saying they are ‘digital’ and won’t be sending hard copy documents to me. Steer clear of this bank.

Be Aware. I will be charged £15 to closing my account. We have found no other institution that charges any amount to close an account.
It's not the money. It's the principal.

Outstanding customer service
The helped I recieved today from Sister Fozeea was amazing. Sister was very calm and patient talking me though various screens. She was very polite and assisted me fully in resolving the issue I had with my digital banking account.

You've bothered to write computer code to only send email notification if the balance is more than £100 in a savings account. Why don't you simply notify the holder of every open account? It's not as if sending emails costs anything.
There's something seriously wrong with this bank.

Service should be like this!!
I have been an account holder with this bank. They offer very competitive rates however I forgot the details to log in etc as I did not use it for nearly a year!
I spoke Mr Himanga and he guided me step by step to recover the details. He was very polite, understanding and friendly such that I felt comfortable and not rushed. He is truly a credit to his bank and deserves a thank you and well done.

I tried to open a savings account…
I tried to open a savings account today, but the customer service representative informed me that the bank had declined my request without providing any reason. I have accounts with a few other banks and the process there was friendly and straightforward, but this experience has been very frustrating. I'd not recommend this bank.
