BEWARE

Here is my draft post. The wonders of technology is that I can type ir once and post it many places.

BEWARE of terrible customer service.
On January 4 I ordered and paid $1500 for a mattress. It arrived late and damaged . The company was good in that after I sent several photos they agreed to replace it.

Since I was out of town I asked that delivery of the replacement mattress wait until I returned.
About March 15 I called and asked that the replacement mattress be sent. Matthew agreed.

When the mattress did not arrive as anticipated on March 28, I inquired about the status. I repeatedly received the same email response from Sarah, "our team is actively working on getting an update and tracking information , and at this time there are no new updates to share".

Now on April 10, after 7 emails I still have no information. Each response has been exactly as the above. I called but the customer service representative, Matthew, said he could not help me and that the "logistics team" only communicated with customers by email.

The Murphy bed that the mattress is for will be installed Monday. If and when I actually get the mattress I will have to pay for the installers to come out a second time to secure the mattress to the bed.

I had a really disappointing experience…

I had a really disappointing experience with Amerisleep.

I placed an order over a month ago based on their advertised 2–3 week shipping timeline, but only part of my order ever shipped. The remaining items—including my bed frame—were delayed indefinitely, and despite multiple follow-ups, I was never given a clear shipping timeline.

After waiting weeks and receiving very little communication, I eventually had to cancel the rest of my order. During that time, I was left sleeping on a mattress on the floor, which was incredibly inconvenient.

While they did process the refund after I requested cancellation, the overall experience was frustrating and poorly handled. Communication was inconsistent, timelines were not honored, and there was no proactive effort to resolve the situation or offer compensation for the inconvenience.

I would not recommend ordering unless you’re prepared for potential delays and lack of communication.

Mattress got saggy after one year

Mattress got saggy after one year. They have a warranty so I thought it would be covered but after filing the claim they don’t answer. I’ve tried contacting by email, phone, through the sales team. No one answers. So upsetting!

This mattress is a dream

Shipping process is long and not clear. Said my order was being processed for over week. Came after 2 weeks. Box was beat all to he!! but the mattress was not damaged. It weighs a metric ton. I got the king AS5. It is huge! A true king sized mattress. Now for the good part. It is the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on in my life. I’m a side sleeper with shoulder problems so I have to have a cloud like mattress. It is not so soft you sink in with zero support. It is supportive motion canceling and super soft and cool to the touch. I slept amazing because of how I melt into the bed. And i case you’re wondering you will have zero problem still
Smashing in the bed. It’s supportive in all the right ways and still pillow like in softness. After endless research and taking back a couple mattresses that said they were the softest this in my opinion is the softest mattress I’ve ever been on.

SHIPPING DELAYS NO INFO

Honestly, the customer service is beyond unacceptable. You reach out for an update and all they give you is the same vague line: “the warehouse team is working on it.” No real answers, no accountability, and definitely no transparency.
It’s been over 10 days and my mattress still hasn’t shipped — with zero explanation as to why. I’ve submitted support tickets, followed up multiple times, and still have no shipping update or even a valid reason for the delay. It’s just a constant runaround that leads nowhere.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’m shocked a company can operate like this and think it’s okay to leave customers in the dark. I will absolutely be filing a claim if this doesn’t get resolved immediately. Completely unacceptable.

Fiberglass inside the mattress

The mattress was overpriced. I remove the cover in order to wash it only to discover FIBERGLASS everywhere. Now it’s all over me, my bedroom, my laundry .😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Disappointing Experience with Amerisleep – Refund Delays and Poor Customer Service

I wish I could leave a positive review for Amerisleep, but my experience with their return and refund process was incredibly frustrating. What should have been a straightforward return turned into nearly two months of waiting for my money to be refunded.

I initiated my return on January 17, 2025, and followed all of Amerisleep’s required steps promptly, including coordinating with their removal service and providing the necessary documentation. The return was fully confirmed and approved by February 6, 2025. At this point, I was told the refund would take up to 7 business days to process.

However, weeks went by with no refund, forcing me to repeatedly follow up with their customer service. Despite reassurances from their representatives, it wasn’t until March 10, 2025—nearly two months after my initial return request—that the funds were finally returned to my account.

Amerisleep’s delays seem entirely unnecessary, and it felt as though they were intentionally holding onto my money long after the return had been completed. Their slow and unresponsive accounting process made the situation even worse, leaving me feeling like I had to fight just to get back what was rightfully mine.

If you're considering purchasing from Amerisleep, be warned that their refund process is far from the smooth and hassle-free experience they advertise. I will not be purchasing from them again, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if customer service and reliability are important to you.

Mattress sagged in less than a year

Mattress sagged in less than a year. Then made motion isolation non existent (we have a king). Warranty is a joke and customer service requests a ton of stuff and then ghosts you. Would not recommend.

Terrible experience.

Terrible experience.

One of the worst mattress companies. I have bought their most expensive mattress and it got damaged within the first month.

We tried to reach customer support but no one answered. Even tried to reach so called owners Firas and Moe but no one responded. Total waste of money. Please don't buy.

Platform Bedframe - AVOID!

I purchased an Amerisleep platform bed. Below is the letter I wrote to them requesting a refund based on the overwhelming glue smell. The "hardwood" turns out is "plywood" which is manufactured with glue - Customer service only offered a $50 credit towards another purchase. I would say Amerisleep is NOT a company who wants to keep it's customer base happy - NOT a good product.

The platform bed we purchased still has an odor. It has a strong glue-odor. When we first received the bed (over a week ago now) we set it up and were surprised by the smell. I called Beaudoinbeds.com at 1-800-455-2344 (this was the customer service contact info that came with the bed-frame). I reached the manufacturer of your bed-frame (located in Quebec. I described the chemical smell to the woman customer service person - she said the glue smell is from the plywood slats, and additionally something could have been sprayed on the upholstered fabric - maybe a soil repellent. One of the main reasons I purchased the bed-frame was because of the wide slats. From the product description, they looked like solid slats, not plywood. We set the frame up in a guest bedroom, and because of the smell, our guest was unable to sleep in the room. We have had the windows open for over a week and the smell is still there. We are very disappointed that we were unable to use the bed frame as intended and were very much inconvenienced with our visitor. We would appreciate a refund of at least 1/2 -3/4 the cost of this frame. When I am in the room with the bed-frame the smell causes me to get congested (stuffy nose) as well. I feel maybe this bed was not treated correctly? Some kind of manufacture defect? I hope you can assist per my request -

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Incredibly overpriced and poorly made products. Awful value. You'd be better off getting the cheapest mattress from a Mattress store.

Cheap products/Awful customer service = terrible company

This company is so awful. I purchased a bed frame that was originally about $1200 however with a promotional discount I got it for $700. This is for the Amerisleep Bed Frame without the adjustable base. Now I normally don't buy expensive stuff like that but because I wanted a snug fit for my mattress (which I also bought from Amerisleep) I went ahead and purchased it. To me the frame was definitely not worth $700. It was no different from the bed frames you can get on Amazon. But the color was nice so I decided to keep it. Within a month I heard a loud bang from underneath the bed and it turns out that it was the middle legs that holds up the mattress. There are 3 plastic legs that hold up the bed frame that of course they don't show on their pictures. Anyways, these cheap plastic legs would tilt every time i would move since I have hardwood floors. Then the wood on the base would come out of its place (a small socket) and slowly all of the wood on the base would fall out. If one wood piece falls out then it's unusable bc then the others will follow in a matter of seconds. I asked for help and eventually they sent me a pair of legs after 3 weeks and they never told me it was on its way. They also sent me 2 pieces instead of 3 at this point I was exhausted with dealing with such a company. I tried changing the 2 piece they sent over but it's just the way the frame was built. I tried those furniture placement holders but it doesn't really work for those plastic pieces.

I'm very upset with my purchase bc it was so expensive and there was nothing I could do about. I would've liked a refund but going back and forth with their customer service seemed a lot for me since I also had a family issue I was dealing with.
And about a week ago I decided to post my review on their website thru the link they sent to my email, that would eventually be posted on their website. Nothing!! I checked back for days and nothing was posted. I sent an email asking about my review but clearly they've chosen not to post it because i had given them a 1 star. Then I get an automated email from a Christopher or Christian that said rate our customer service without addressing my main issue SMH.

Now I'm stuck with a bed frame that I have to adjust every other week. Thank you Amerisleep!

You guys are by far the worst out. I wish I had checked the reviews on bbb before spending so much money on something so cheap. STAY AWAY!!! i

Deceptive warranty, will not honor 20-yr structural failure after just 5 years.

My wife and I have purchased Amerisleep Colonial Bed King mattress in 2015 for $2200. Our decision was largely based on positive reviews, and the 20-yr warranty. We thought, how could we go wrong? Well, the mattress has provided us with about 5 years of good quality sleep. Its back support was firm, and motion isolation outstanding. Unfortunately, after year 5 of ownership, we began to notice significant softening. Over the course of the following year, we continued to wake-up with sore backs. At first we weren't sure what the cause of this was. Ultimately, I was reminded of the heavily-advertised 20-yr warranty, so I reached out to Amerisleep's customer service. Kianna and Melyssa weren't exactly responsive, and it took a number of e-mails to even verify I'm the owner of a mattress. Afterwards, I was sent on a wild goose chase, in which they wanted to see photos of the foundation, the mattress tag, and a variety of photos taken from different angles in which I place freeweights on the mattress top so they could determine whether my claim - that the mattress has become soft - can be justified.

What I've learned from this whole experience is that not only has the mattress become softer, its firmness has become grossly inconsistent. A 15-lb weight (as they had asked), placed near the foot area, as well as the torso area yielded VERY different results. The torso area was TWICE as soft. Now, the average person would say, why not just spin the mattress around? That thought had crossed our mind, for sure. Unfortunately, the uneven firmness seems to be rooted deep within the mattress body.

After a number of weeks of e-mails, photos, and various tests that Kianna and Melyssa had me perform, which show - beyond any reasonable doubt - that the mattress firmness has become grossly uneven, I was told that they cannot honor the warranty.

They cannot honor the warranty because - get ready here - only the ZIPPER of the mattress cover is actually covered by their very limited 20-yr warranty.

That's right folks. A $2000 mattress with an advertised 20-yr warranty only has the zipper covered.

I wish I could recommend this brand to others, but this sour experience has motivated me to spread their sleazy marketing tactics around the web. Don't be surprised if you see many more reviews from me across multitude of channels.

I've included a photo of the weight test they had me perform, which clearly shows, beyond any reasonable doubt that their mattress foam has failed over time, and their reluctance to honor their much-advertised warranty.

Kianna and Melyssa however, were kind enough to offer me a slight discount on a NEW mattress from them. Can you imagine how excited I was at this opportunity? (please pardon the sarcasm).

Upon reviewing their product offerings, I now see they have become a discount mattress seller, with their top-tier offerings being sold for significantly less than our Colonial Bed mattress in 2016.

All I can say is, stay away from amerisleep. Buy your mattress from an established, legitimate mattress brand who stands behind their product. Amerisleep clearly does not.

I ordered their most expensive mattress…

I ordered their most expensive mattress and bed base. I made it clear there was a day for it to be delivered because I hired movers to help set up. I called and emailed reminding them the week prior, and they said all was good. The day before my movers came, my shipment didn’t arrive. I spent nearly $400 on movers who charged me anyway, and Amerisleep hasn’t covered those costs. If the product wasn’t good, I’d give 1 star.
