I apply for a Amex Gold Card in December 2024. I use it seldom. I made a few charges and got some points. I use the website to transfer my points to Marriott Hotels. I was not able to do it. I called up and the system was down and I had to wait. I use Chase Sapphire prefer card to do most of my business. I transfer my points to airlines and Hotels. I booked a cruise to Australia. I left on September 18 for 22 days to Sidney. I was checking my Amex Gold Card and I had 3 charges after September 18 from UBER. I was on a ship. I sent my boarding pass to Amex online and the credit me with 13.32. I never received the the third credit. I was vacation for 52 days. They wanted to close the the dispute right away. I can’t transfer points and can’t get anyone to help so when I got back, I cancel the card. Beware of Amex it is not the same company any more.
