New Cooker hood extractor fan stopped working!

Cooker hood extractor fan stopped working whilst still under warranty. The engineer came out and did nothing to repair it. Excuse given that the hose on the exterior was slightly small by 1 mm. He also commented about these machine not being of good quality. I was never advised that there will be a charge for visit and now a bill of £65 sent. They are a totally rubbish company with extremely poor customer service. Avoid them at all cost!

Had this oven almost 2 years

Had this oven almost 2 years. The timer stopped working 6 months ago and last week the glass in the oven door exploded across the kitchen when the oven was cooking a chicken. I started looking for a new oven door but I must’ve been crazy. A total new oven will be the only option. Awful product!

Cooker hood

The push button for the light on the curved glass hood extractor fan would not stay in and I could not illuminate the cooking area. I rang Apelson on Mon 21/06/2021 and was promised an engineer would be with me on 23/06/2020. John the engineer arrived at the time promised and quickly resolved the issue. Apelson could not have been anymore helpful than they were and their customer care service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Purchased a oven November 20 had…

Purchased a oven November 20 had trouble lighting after 6 months packed up all together ,phoned company 3 times still haven't had a call back been with out a oven now for 17 days absolutely disgusting avoid avoid avoid ,I'm going to contact trading standards I want a full refund ,how can company's be allowed to trade and treat people like this,,?

Would not buy another this one doesn’t…work can’t even tell the time

Would not buy another this one doesn’t even keep time it’s a digital display that runs slow
Also burns kitchen doors had a guy out say it it needs more ventilation load of rubbish I’ve drilled holes behind unit and still happens please don’t buy one they are rubbish lights just gone on temperature so don’t know how hot oven is Best use for apelson oven are as storage cupboard please please please don’t buy one they probably don’t even care who reads this

Cooker hood extractor fan stopped…

Cooker hood extractor fan stopped working under warranty. Engineer came out and refused to repair it as extraction pipe at rear of unit was "not quite wide enough". He said the real problem was that it was made in China. Received an invoice for £65 call-out a week later. Currently disputing it. Cheap rubbish, stay well clear.

Noisy Wine cooler
We had an essentials wine cooler in a new build
it is so noisy i can hear it at the other end of the house
The engineer visited and told me its normal and went away . He replaced the pcb as the temperature was also fluctuating
Still noisy and they are not interested in resolving

Service or lack of

Avoid Apelson at all costs. Having purchased a hob and oven from them after three years I have a problem with the oven. In itself that isn't a problem, I just need a repair but that is where the problem starts. Despite umpteen calls and payment of £95 for an engineer to call they can never give you a straight answer. A week on they give me a 'phone number for their repair department. Research tells me this is simply a company they sub contract work to. They can't give me an answer but promise to call back, which they do fairly promptly. Having waited for a week I now have to wait another week to get an engineer to attend. I wish I had researched Apelson before making my purchase.

I had a very different experience with my Apelson oven

I have an Apelson oven in a small flat I rent out. I was wary about buying one as the reviews have been so poor but it did fit in the small space available so I went with it. I don't know if there is a new team working on Apelson repairs, but I found them excellent. The oven element failed while the oven was under guarantee. As it was during the lockdown my tenant had to arrange the time and date for a repair visit after I had had it approved and set up. He failed to do this so it all had to be rearranged by me, this was done without any hassle. When my tenant got in touch with them, the repair visit was sorted out quickly. I found the support staff from the repair team (Esteem) to be very helpful, sympathetic and efficient.

Purchased a apelson induction hob £169

Purchased a apelson induction hob £169, product lasted only two months (still under warenty). A fork yes a fork, fell onto it, from a rack about 2 feet above and cracked the glass hob. Rang and pleaded for help as set into new kitchen with granite work surface. Claire customer service said, £95.00 call out to repair! Due to such diabolicaly poor product and laughably poor customer service, sure fix would entail super glue! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Ripped it out will go elsewhere! Apparently you have to prove product is low standard by expert third party.

Apelson warranty. Got to say that I was dubious about…

Got to say that I was dubious about using the warranty for my apelson extractor hood bearing in mind some of the reviews on this site. However, the engineer (Steve from Boldon) rang me promptly, kept me updated when he had to order parts and arrived to fix the appliance exactly when he said he would. He was prompt, pleasant and very efficient. Job done in no time! Well done Steve and thank you.

POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Purchased an Oven from MyAppliancesdirectuk in May Oven started to produce a burning smell then blew up.
Contacted Apelson 3 times and am still waiting for a reply for an appointment for this Oven to be Inspected.
Everytime I have contacted them very poor customer service.
Myappiances Direct UK also no help at All not interested in supporting their customers.
I have been without an Oven for 3 weeks stay clear of these companies.
Oven now inspected by Apelson

Cheap & inferior

When i had a new kitchen designed, the company put in all white goods from apelson. That was in 2016. Firstly, i was given the wrong built in oven twice. Within a year my built in second oven/microwave broke & couldnt be fixed. I now have a bosch & its brilliant. Apelson repair engineer has been out 3 times to repair main oven & i am now waiting to have the dishwasher repaired!!! Freezer seals have gone & 3 plastic drawers broken in the freezer! All this in 4 years.!! Products looked good when first fitted, but as time goes on you can tell how cheap & badly built they are. Luckily i have an extended warranty but even so, its been like pulling teeth dealing with apelson customer service & their engineers. Will never purchase appliances from apelson again& anyone looking at this, be warned.
