Similar to the Harvest BBC news article, i've been using Approvalmax for many years now, but they are very happy to move up prices 60% overnight with very little notice. Moving off the platform, don't trust they won't do this in the future again.

I really wanted to love this product but as an NFP the price keeps increasing and this time I just can’t see how it’s justified at double the price. We will be moving away from this product.

ApprovalMax sales team promised things that can't be accomplished without monthly add-on fees. Support articles claim it can support custom fields, BUT that only works on one type of workflow and can't be used in the Approval Matrix. Review steps can only come at the beginning so if accounting wants to change something it has to go all the way back through approvals. If you want a second approver only over a certain dollar amount that is apparently impossible, but I can't believe this so I think the customer service rep just doesn't understand me. I don't think anyone on the team has ever actually worked on an accounting team as they don't seem to understand how the end user would use to product and basically respond like a computer talking about only what ApprovalMax can do or offering to add feedback to the product team. I'd suggest the product team hire someone who has actually worked in accounting and make some improvements. Frustrated that I signed-up for an annual contract already...

Total rubbish. Make you set up a stupid two factor authentication code before you can login. This means you need to install an Authenticator App on your phone (DO NOT TRUST).

I've used approval max for a number of years now

It's a cornerstone of our app stack and is fundamental when it comes to our accounting firm being able to offer an outsourced finance function to clients

It's easy to set up your first process and then scale from there and add layers of complexity as necessary.

Support has been great, and the shear volume of softwares it works with makes it a plug in for a vary of situations

I’ve been using the system over 5 years, in a number of use cases for clients. The customisable workflows means there are very few scenarios it won’t work with.

The new capture & pay features mean you don’t need additional software to extract data from your supplier invoices & also pay your suppliers.

The app is great for approvers, meaning there are no bottlenecks in the process. We had a user that never logged into the dashboard & did it all via the app.

Reporting means you have everything from audit trails to delays in approvers.
