Sold a sofa on AptDeco over a month ago and still waiting to get paid. Wish I'd done a bit of due diligence before posting my sofa with them. How can they still be in business...

Worst ever. Sold couch 8/9/26, couch delivered to buyer 9/11/26, it is 10/20/26 and I haven’t been paid. They keep making excuses. If you need the cash sell it anywhere else or donate it. Less headache and hassle. This company is awful.

Do not ever use this website!! The movers scratched ny furniture and took it apart. Movers told buyer to ask for a discount. Now buyer wants to return! They only use email and no live person. Its been a few weeks and no resolution. I can resell it but they won’t send me pictured of what it looks like now. Not that it will sell now.

I have used this service a few times before. Buying a bed, a mirror, a console table and a coffee table. I sold my couch through them and purchased a couch from them and apparently the size was wrong and it didn’t fit stairway or elevator in my building. I spoke with the seller and they agreed to a return. 2 weeks later there is no movement on their part. In the meantime I bought another couch and the buyer scheduled it for 2 weeks out. Fine, at this point I have had no couch in my 1 BR for 1.5 months and they have 2500 dollars of my money on a credit card that I have to pay off. There is not a customer service number that I can called and email communication is abysmal. The selling fees are also insane. Don’t buy from this company or sell with them.

It took months for them to organize a delivery and once it was time to transfer my earnings to my bank , screwed up or just didn't do it, evaded emails, never gave a straight answer and were utterly incompetent.
So called customer service is the worst I have ever seen.

I sold an item on August 29th. They came and picked it up. I have sent numerous emails as I have not gotten paid from them still for this sale.
It is now October 14th and no payment.
I would highly recommend not doing business with this company.
Between the fact that their fees are ridiculous and how long it takes to get what is left if your money. Stay away!!

Sadly I sold two things in AptDeco in two transactions. Both transactions have had long wait times for my payment - beyond what is promised on the site. Email response took days, and then attributed the delay to a "glitch" that caused the payment clock to start over. I've finally gotten paid for one. Still waiting for nearly $2K on the second item sold 45 days ago and delivered 21 days ago. Sellers beware: AptDeco is gaining interest on the buyer's payment for 45 days and leaving you with empty hands.

Very easy to list your items to sell! AptDeco provides recommendations on how to price and the sliding scale makes it transparent about what your actual return will be. They also send reminders about your listing and offer tips on how to get it sell faster. Appreciated all the guidance as a first-time seller.

Listed half a dozen items and was shocked about the fees of 60%. I tred the listings anyways considering the shipping likely would take a third of the gross cost but that was a whole other story. Two weeks to get the first delivery window, then they sent a small van to pickup a large sectional couch that was full from two previous pickups and a crew of two that seemed irritated with me being flummoxed by why they would even show up… something about why I was irritated when he had to drive to CT and pickup furniture etc… really? Then they got another van (three hours later so my day was messed up, I cleared out my storage and had plans to add items but to no avail.) which also had two previous pickups and was full. Don’t know how they operate and stay in business, far better with much lower fees on EBay with pickup arranged by buyer or seller even Marketplace with the painful”is it available” process is better and no fees. They say white glove service… I say not even close after a wasted day and labor, weeks waiting then dead sale. Seems things are just getting worse with these “apps”.

I am still waiting to get paid. The sofa was picked up a month ago and the website says "still processing." I have tried multiple emails to their help desk with no result. By the way, their customer service line accepts voice mails only. There are no actual people to speak with. Never again

Keeping my money even though the seller canceled a week ago. They fully admit the item for which I was charged is no longer available but want me to wait for a review process before approving a refund. I had to do a credit card dispute.

I was a happy AptDeco customer for years and had purchased multiple pieces through the platform without issue. I trusted the company and felt comfortable making a significant furniture purchase through them. Unfortunately, the handling of my most recent order has completely changed my opinion of the service.

I purchased a dresser with a matching mirror and paid for delivery. The first scheduled delivery was canceled during the delivery window. A second delivery attempt failed due to communication and coordination issues between AptDeco and its delivery team. When the order was finally delivered, the dresser arrived without the mirror.

AptDeco then spent weeks trying to locate the missing mirror. Eventually, I was told it had been found and a delivery was scheduled. On the morning of that delivery, I received a text telling me the mirror was out for delivery and spent the day expecting it to arrive. It never did. Only after further communication did AptDeco clearly explain that the mirror had actually been damaged beyond delivery while in their warehouse and that the delivery had therefore been canceled. The "out for delivery" notification had been sent in error.

After months of dealing with an order that AptDeco first failed to deliver completely, then lost a major component of, then damaged that component while it was in their possession, their proposed resolution for keeping the now permanently incomplete dresser was a refund of the $49.50 delivery fee and a $33 discount on the item, plus a $25 AptDeco credit.

I don't leave this review as someone who had one bad interaction with a company I knew nothing about. I leave it as a longtime customer who previously trusted and recommended AptDeco and who, after this experience, will not use the service again. Based on how this order was handled, I also cannot recommend that others entrust their purchases to AptDeco.

Broke my beautiful item during delivery. Lost the shelves that belong in the item. Offered me $25 off a future purchase. Disgusting.

There are no live customer service people to actually talk to. They picked up a piece of my furniture on 8/6/26 as promised and it was to be delivered to the buyer which is what triggers payment to the Seller. Yet their tracking system still shows it hasn’t been picked up from me, so the buyers can’t schedule delivery and I can’t get paid. No one is addressing this issue so it’s a fraud and rip off. Avoid doing business with them.

Avoid AptDeco. They have my furniture, they have my money, and customer service won’t respond.

I’ve sold two tables and a couch through AptDeco, and the experience has been appalling.

I requested a transfer of the proceeds from my table sales 17 business days ago. AptDeco says transfers can take up to 10 business days. I still don’t have my money, and customer service has stopped responding to my messages.

Meanwhile, AptDeco picked up my couch a week ago and hasn’t even released those proceeds to my AptDeco account yet.

This comes after multiple pickup problems as well, including late crews and a failed couch pickup because AptDeco sent a truck that didn’t have room for the couch.

AptDeco takes 35% of the sale price. In return, I’ve gotten unreliable pickups, terrible customer service, hours of wasted time, and now AptDeco is holding my money well beyond its own stated timeframe and won’t respond.

I will update this review when I actually receive my money.

And before an AptDeco representative responds to this review with a canned apology or template response: don’t bother. Respond to my messages, release my funds, and fix the issue.

At first, I thought my math wasn’t mathing, because surely no furniture resale platform could possibly have this much audacity.

I listed my couch for $500, and AptDeco graciously revealed that I’d be allowed to keep about $200 of my own sale.

Oh. Cool.

So you keep about $300 — 60 FREAKING PERCENT of the sale price. Well, of course, M’lord. My contribution to this transaction is merely providing the actual freaking furniture.

But wait. It gets better.

After taking 60%, they asked if I’d also like to cover $50 or $99 of the buyer’s delivery fee because, according to them, that could increase my chances of selling.

Excuse me, sir… Should I also carry the freaking couch outside, load your truck, and pack your driver a lunch?

At this point, would you like my coffee table too? Perhaps my TV? Maybe my soul? All for free, of course. Your Grace has been so generous.

Should I Venmo you some gas money just for the inconvenience of taking most of my money?

Don’t get me wrong. I fully expect a resale platform to charge a commission. You provide a service; you get paid. Makes perfect sense. But 60% of MY furniture sale while simultaneously asking ME to subsidize the buyer’s delivery? That level of audacity deserves its own business model.

I’ll happily sell the couch locally for $200, deal with the distinguished intellectuals of Facebook Marketplace, professional lowballers negotiating from another dimension, and the “Is this available?” crowd disappearing into witness protection the moment I say yes - and sleep peacefully knowing that greedy leeches don’t get a cut.

One star, because apparently “absolutely freaking not” isn’t an option.

We sold a bunch of furniture here before a move, and will never use AptDeco again. They take a huge percentage of the selling price and do very little in return.

For example, I sold a desk for $200 in June, had to chase them repeatedly to pick up the desk before I moved on July 15, they picked up the desk but didn't schedule delivery to the buyer for weeks, and then I finally found out from the buyer in mid-August that the desk had been destroyed in a fire on the delivery truck! AptDeco did pay me for it, but after all that hassle, my share was only $30.50.

Customer Service takes days to respond to inquiries, so you can't get any help in a timely fashion. If you let buyers pick up items themselves, it's so much hassle and back and forth that there is no justification for AptDeco taking so much of the sale price. I wish I'd just given my furniture away or dealt with buyers directly through other selling sites.

I cannot even begin to express the regret of buying my desk from this site prior to reading the reviews. It’s been over three weeks and neither I nor the seller have received any shipping information outside of August 3 through August 28. I contacted AptDeco and was told I would have 24-48 hour notice prior to delivery. Do they not realize in the real world people need to make PLANS? AptDeco has a general attitude of not really caring. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!!!! Just as someone else stated, I would’ve paid more to purchase new than to put up with this fiasco.

Used them years ago to buy my furniture and had great experience. Their concept is great since it adds security and ease of delivery. BUT I was in the process of listing a sofa when I realized that their commission is 60% of the sale price!?! The commission went up from 20 to 60 % in a few years?
That is outrageous and absurd!! I rather list it for less on facebook market place than support such a predatory company. Shame on you !!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I deeply regret not checking reviews before using this service. Given the massive cut they take from your sale, you would expect seamless delivery and top-notch customer service—it’s far from it.

First, they aren't transparent about their fees. Then came the pickup nightmare: I waited in my apartment for three hours during a four-hour window, only to receive an email stating they were rescheduling the pickup for three weeks later. When they finally showed up for the rescheduled date, they arrived nearly an hour after the four-hour window closed.

To top it off, one of the movers smelled strongly of marijuana, offered no apology for being late, and had the audacity to ask for a tip. Given how little money I’m actually making after their outrageous fees, I wish I had just given the couch away for free.
