This is the second time techs have come out in 7 days because the first time the tech only did 25% of the job, sprayed all over the windows (we have the streaks all down the coated windows) and was under the influence and has since been let go. Both times the gate was left wide open and our dog ran away. I was able to catch the first time after she got out, however I just picked her up this morning from the Animal Humane Society where she spent the night since they were closed last evening and I could not get her and had to pay for that as the gate was left open again by the new tech this time.

Scheduling has been an issue. First appointment the person made it to my home an hour after the max time and I was gone. Also their arrival time is always between 8 am and 5 pm which is not helpful at all. We can’t be required to sit here for 9 hours wondering when they will show up. The second appointment got canceled on us without even knowing. The third appointment I made online and then it got changed and I didn’t get notice of that either. The techs are tired and worn out. Not rude or anything but clearly they are not having a good day. The treatment feels hastened and less than expected because of that.
Now I’m stuck with an 18 month contract and I canceled my other service which was much better quality and timeliness and scheduling. And paid a fee to do that. All based on a young sales guy that guaranteed the service and appointments would be timely and good. They are not.

The tech was amazing - he took his time spraying all over. Then he checked for cobwebs and took them down. We had problems initially getting ahold of the company, but when we found the right phone number, the person was very helpful, professional and courteous. she changed our perception of the company to very positive. Kudos for her.

The technicians were timely and very professional. They explain what they will be doing for the treatment and at the end show pictures of the end results.

The sales pitch is great, well rehearsed.
After that, it goes downhill.
I was told that I could communicate via their client portal, email or phone. I have since learned that there is no communication options on the portal and email is no longer monitored.
I was told that ANTS were covered in the treatments but later learned “not all ants, only the ants listed here”. My ants weren’t covered.
I was told that rodents were covered but then discovered “only if you ask”. Apparently I had been paying for rodent treatment but getting nothing.
Sketchy company in my opinion.

I switch from my previous pest service because Aptive promised me to they would create a barrier around my property and also take care of my mosquitos. But so far the bugs have started to come back that my previous pest service had taken care of and the mosquitos are still bad. To their credit they do come back and reapply at no additional cost. But I have to call them back every time. I give it a two star because the technicians that come out are respectful and nice. But they can't deliver on what was promised.

Excellent check in to see exactly what our concerns and/or treatment needs were. Very thorough visit taking several pictures to show exactly what they did. Great follow up to see we were pleased. Highly professional with a high touch approach!

We are asked if there are any specific insects/pests Aptive should spray for the day of our appointment. For example, this appointment we asked them to target Asian Beetles and Box Elder Bugs. The company reps always call ahead to let us know when they will arrive, and they are friendly, also.

Had a problem with spiders from last service. When I called I got a courteous professional that realized the issue and set up an appointment for this same week. Because it was a re do there was not charge.

I switched to Aptiv Pest Control from Orkin because Orkin consistently fell short of my expectations despite communicating them on a regular basis. Since Aptiv took over the job, they listened to me and met my expectations on their first treatment, and have consistently met them every time. In addition, they were more affordable than Orkin. So in a nutshell, Aptiv was better AND cheaper than Orkin! Who wouldn't want that?

They are responsive to my complaints, but I have had to complain about at least 8 situations over the past 12 months. I would rather have good service at the time of day I have requested than have to complain and get promises that I usually have to contact them about again (and again for my time of day preference and lack of advance notification. Those issues have been better, but then other issues come up.)
