Arcade 1up Good or Bad?
I wanted to write this because I saw they only had 1 review and it wasn’t a good one. Now I’m not familiar with the wheel of fortune game they are describing but the flagship standup arcades that they offer I am. I’ve owned 3 machines total and currently still have 1. Initially I had Pac-Man and Mrs PAC-Man and they performed great, never a problem once. My home was destroyed in a fire last year and both games were lost as well. I had a second PAC-Man in storage I intended to give away but never found the right person to give it to so given the situation I decided to keep it, and guess what, it performs great, just like the last ones I had. Loads up every time, keeps high scores even after loss of power, has great sound, bright display, and are loads of fun to play. I did notice on one machine after years of heavy use that one button was not always fully responsive, but I’d chalk that up to typical wear and tear of a heavily used game by both kids and adults, spilled drinks, and no maintenance. There are replacement parts available online and they are very affordable. I’ve also seen videos of people modding these stand up arcades but I’ve no experience there and am only reviewing the game system as it comes from the mfg. I give it my good recommendations and will buy another in the future to expand my collection. The PAC-MAN I have comes with 12 games built in and it’s a blast to play these classic arcades at home. The machines are light and with current screen technology the display uses very little power vs an old school actual arcade. They have a decal of what looks like the quarter slot on the front but the machine does not take quarters and is free to play which I knew before I purchased one. Arcade 1up has not disappointed me one bit, and I just wish they were sold in stores here locally as they once were. Occasionally I see them used on marketplace but new you might need to just order from their site. Assembly is straightforward and easy and done relatively quick with just a Phillips screwdriver. The instructions are complete and easy to read and understand. Putting one together is just another fun activity you can do with the kids before you engage in an all out who can get the best score competition. In my home I’m the champ, 44150 on pac-man and on Galaga (my favorite) my high score is 168150. The game also has a settings configuration to adjust difficulty levels and lives available and such. You wont be disappointed with an Arcade 1up and I wrote this review as a consumer with no affiliation to the company. Now if they happen to see it and offer me a discount towards another unit I will not complain but that’s wishful thinking and I’m never that lucky. I would write an honest review of that system as well after having ample use in my home, but unlikely they take me up on that. So no incentive was given for this review to be clear. Either way I believe in only honest reviews or else what good are they, that’s the reason we’re all here on trust pilot anyway so keep it real, and thank you all for reading my review.
