I am writing to formally express my concern and dissatisfaction regarding the lack of communication and updates regarding the “29 Room Guesthouse Renovation / Modernization” competition. It has been several months since the submission deadline, and to date, I have not received any official announcement or notification regarding the results or the status of the competition.

Despite the considerable time that has passed, there has been no clarification or response from the organizing committee, which has caused considerable confusion and on my part.

I am a part of a team which composes of four architects. We also are urban planners and landscape architects. As a team we have ben participating in the architectural competitions. It was my first project and first prize in arcbazar platform. I can verify that the system is very transparent and they do not communicate with any candidates. It is based on the reviews of the clients. We worked very flawlessly and we did not use any ai for illustrations. Our design was pure and we got what we deserved. Thank you, i hope your transparency continues as the way it is.

For years, I've been earning money by participating in contests through Arcbazar. However, I've started to think that Arcbazar is unfair. Many customers who ranked 2nd and 3rd in the contests contacted me after the results were announced and said they had chosen me as the 1st place winner. This had happened before, but I didn't speak up because I trusted the site. In fact, once the results were changed and my prize money was increased. My request to customers and colleagues is that if anyone encounters this situation, they should file a complaint. I haven't won a competition in about a year, and when I look at the winning projects, I realize they are projects that don't really deserve to win or are made with artificial intelligence. Furthermore, some designers contact clients by sending their own information. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to prevent this because there is no oversight. The efforts of many architects like me are being disregarded. Moreover, this situation damages the site's reputation, but I've started to think they don't really care. For this reason, I no longer trust this site. Despite being one of the top 20 architects, I have decided not to participate in competitions anymore. Contests are announced late; there should be a rule that even if the customer doesn't cancel, they should be finalized within a maximum of two weeks. Unfortunately, trust cannot be earned any other way. I hope these issues are resolved and my colleagues who are still waiting receive their payments as soon as possible. I hope the site improves and becomes a fairer, more transparent place before my colleagues suffer further wear and tear. Best regards.

ArcBazar doesn't respond to emails, the competition results aren't announced, they keep us waiting for months, and when it comes to the payment part, we wait for months too. There's no one we can contact; they ignore the architects.

My name is tonny, i was born in boyolali indonesia, i join arcbazar first time in 2020 til now i still participate arcbazar contest. the first year i join is full struggle and yet i never win, but second year my skill is enhanced and i got my first win and they pay me well till now, but they got strugle in this year (2025) since AI attack not only arcbazar but all designer.

After 5 year join every competition, i can say this website is good for enhancing skill and designer got payment also.

Note : they need to upgrade their costumer service and ranking system.
Also all new designer should use paypal for withdrawal.

I participated in the "Remodel Kitchen" and "Interiors for New Construction" competitions on the Arcbazar platform. Months have passed since the competition results were announced, but no results have been released. Moreover, despite sending emails to the platform many times, I never received any response. I've also read on local complaint platforms that other contestants are experiencing the same issue for different competitions. Since the company isn't based in Turkey, I can't reach them through any other communication channels. I request that they inform me about the current status of the competition process and why the results haven't been released.

ArcBazaar gets you amazing results because their process is superior to both traditional and online architecture solutions. The network of experienced designers provides more ways of envisioning what you could have, which gets you closer to what you want.

Arcbazar is a terrific concept that mostly delivers. Their customer service has largely been one person, busy but well-intentioned and generally capable of handling issues. I'm told they're upgrading it, which would be an improvement. And there are some technical limitations which bring it down from five stars to four in my view.

I would love to see what Arcbazar could do with a truly robust, fully-featured web platform, because it's already pretty terrific even with a relatively basic one. The heart of its greatness is, of course, the designers. Advanced students and young professionals worldwide, in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture and interior design compete to show you what they can do with YOUR specific, personal project. You assign winners, who divide up your prize money according to a formula (with AB getting a cut off the top), but no matter who wins, you get to keep all the ideas, images, etc to use as you see fit. You can also invite your winner (or, in theory, anybody else you wish from your competition) to continue on working with you and your building team to realize your design.

I have run four contests through AB so far. Two were just for fun -- I wanted to see what my basic ideas would look like in the hands of professional designers -- and two were put into practice. For the latter, I didn't use any one design exactly as the architect gave it to me... instead, I took the features I liked best from several, and melded them together into something not quite like any of the designs. But the best designs helped me solve problems that I didn't have the knowledge to handle myself, such as how to arrange all the necessary features of a bathroom plus plenty of storage in a tiny and slightly oddly-shaped space. I have lived with the spaces I designed based on my AB contests for several years now and I'm very happy with them. I couldn't have done so well without my AB designers.

The designs I got for my yard were far better than anything I could have imagined. Their site is easy to use and the price of the competition was very reasonable. I will use this service it again for my next project

Most efficient way at sourcing a multitude of rapid design ideas.

It is a very, very nice tool. Efficient way to have a 1st cut of a project with multiple inputs. It would be great to have 1) a bit more clarity/consistency in pricing and timing of projects, 2) easy way to move to a detailed project that combines bits and pieces of those you like...

Thanks to Arcbazar I got some awesome designs for my project. The idea of bringing architecture contests to the crowd is fantastic and the whole team at Arcbazar is doing a great job to make this happen. Special thanks also to Ana who was really kind in supporting me with some issues. I can fully recommend!

Let me share my experience from the designer point of view. I signed up as a designer and won 2nd prize on July 6 2023, the total project prize is $1000, for second prize i got $291, I followed their steps for withdrawing the money, but it never got to my account. I tried contacting them via email but never got any reply.

I’m starting to think that this is a scam for the designers that signed up, we won the prize but never get the prize.

As for the client, they were asked to pay in front first to them as organizer, but the money that should have been distribute as a prize for the designers that already submit design products for the client, never got distributed to the designers that actually won the contest. So its no problem for the client because they got the product, but not for the designers who actually submit their ideas and won the contest but never got paid.

I hope my experience can help designers who is signing up in arcbazar to be more careful. Thanks.

I have used Arcbazar for both my workplace and my home. I really like the creativity that you see come across from designers in different parts of the world. I think the best strength of this approach is seeing all of the great ideas, picking the one that's closest to your vision, but also incorporating small details from other submissions that you may never have thought of. My wife and I are about to launch another design competition for our backyard. Can't wait to see what the winner looks like!

Just loved how easy it was to get so many amazing designs from all over the world. Would highly recommend!

In concept the process worked ok. We provided a value, people participated, we gave feedback and generated some cool designs.

The problems started when we wanted to download those designs; the website kept glitching. When we sought help by email it felt like we were talking to a developer…. The person was more interested in defending the functionality of the product than acknowledging the problem or helping us with a work around. To this day we don’t have our designs and my wife thinks the people at arcbazar are Harvard type jerks. They don’t make mistakes! The problem must be the user. Unnecessary hubris fail.

Now I went to the trouble to explain our legitimate issues and this survey rejected my notes because we used your service in 2020 and that’s not recent enough; you sent me the survey. (Facepalm)

Now your system doesn’t like the language in my review and wants nicer, more complimentary language? Nice survey….
