A blend of timeless design and precision, the Apollo II is worth every penny.

To be clear, I love the looks of this watch, and I did buy 2 of them in different color dials. One of them is working fine and looks great. The other, ice blue dial, broke on the first winding (following the winding directions diligently.) The crown fell off in my hand with a broken shaft. Repair would be difficult at best.

This could easily have been handled by customer service, but this is where the low rating comes in as they asked me to have the watch repaired locally and that they would reimburse my costs.
I explained that even if I did have a watch repair shop locally the cost would certainly be higher than the purchase price of the watch.

Would they send me a pre-paid shipping label and replace the watch? I guess not. PayPal refunded my money for the one watch and I continue to check the other one for proper function and all seems good so far.

This is a shame since the product looks good and feels good on the wrist.

I bought a watch from Argos and was received on 10-Sep-23. And to my surprise the watch had a cracked watch glass. I am writing to Argos on this since 10-Sep-23 and I haven't got one response back regarding this. This is totally not acceptable at all.

And a good starter watch if you are stepping into the world of mechanical movements. The Jubilee bracelet & Swiss movement with niche finish and they have made no compromise in quality. I ordered this watch with high sceptism. I was doubtful that the watch could be some cheap assembled. However, on recieving the watch courier, my perception changed. First the package, not less than any branded company, beautiful wooden box, with a sliding watch holder. Inside was a beautiful watch with great detailing and very good finishing. I am overwhelmed to see this, smooth hand winding and very smooth running seconds hand similar to sweeping movements. Perfectly fits my wrist and is esthetically very appealing. I have ordered another watch after seeing this....I have the APOLLO II - CONSTELLATION BLUE GOLD

Good product in a great price. Got Swiss mechanical movement in the era of quartz movement. Hope to get lot more in such reasonable price

So get yourself one real quick.

Amazing mechanical watches, great design and right prices. I bought two watches from Argos and both of them are truly great. The movement is Swiss mechanical and lasts for around 36 hrs for me. I ordered this watch and totally forgot about it. Another parcel took away all of my attention, until I received the Apollo 2. I was blown away by the watch the moment I opened the parcel. Yes, parcel not the watch box. From the watch box to the watch everything impressed me. I was thinking how they can afford to pack so many good things in one bundle. The watch was so simple, elegant and classy. I mostly do not wear dress watches because I have a big wrist, but the Apollo 2 just hugs my wrist like it was meant to be. I have the Wine Red with Silver case version of it and I am totally in love with it. Highly recommend this to anyone venturing into the mechanical watches. This for sure will start a love affair with the horological world.
