Paid in advance
Paid in advance, on arrival at Manchester airport driver demanded payment. That is paid twice for the trip and haven’t receive a refund for the £71 paid to the driver. Have not had a response from Argyle.

At 1am, we kept phoning only to be given a recorded message 'we are looking for a driver' or press 2 to cancel!!! Absolutely fuming. We weren't the only ones, many had done the same and were left stranded.
Will not be pre-booking with them again...what a let down- spoilt the night!!!

Just had a very unpleasant experience in a Satellite taxi, very rude taxi driver, told us not to slam his car door when we got in the taxi. We apologised, even though we didn’t do anything wrong. He didn’t wait for us to put our seat belts on, just drove off and we we’re struggling in the dark to put them on, the driver’s response, just leave it, you’re getting out soon. I will never use this taxi company again, the driver was more concerned about his next fare than our safety

Didn’t turn up when contacting told trying to find driver waited a further 5 minutes as had a table booking, same reply then can cancelled. Wouldn’t want this episode on Christmas Day!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Placed an order for a taxi 48hrs in advance for a works night out in Liverpool. Taxi didn't arrive and when they were contacted to ask where it was, the lady on the switchboard was both unhelpful and rude. Apparently pre-ordering a taxi in advance doesn't mean your guaranteed a taxi. Which begs the question, what's the point of accepting pre-orders if it doesn't give the piece of mind the customer thinks it does? Luckily Uber were on hand to clean up the mess, so it's Uber for us everytime from now on.

This is a shocking taxi service ,I've religiously used this service for 4 years living in the wirral ,the taxi got tonight charged me 30 pounds ,a normal service I use for 17 .50 standard fare to where I live

One star is extravagant
One star is extravagant. Booked a cab the previous evening to take us to Lime Street Station. I was told it may not be exactly 8.15 but as close as possible. The cab never arrived despite several phone calls. We consequently missed out train costing us a lot of money and it had a knock on effect for our connections for a very long train journey. I phoned Argyle today and had the phone put down on me, disgraceful customer service. An absolute rubbish outfit. If you can't fulfil the booking say so.
Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service. Booked a wheelchair accessible cab to take an Elderly Gent to his Granddaughters wedding. The cab did not turn up, when telephoned (on hold for a while) we were told no wheelchair cab in the area, despite it being booked & well over the booked arrival time. Zero help (or compassion) from the person on the phone. 1 star is 1 too many but we are unable to review without rating. Unreliable is being generous.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Booked a pick up from Liverpool airport to/from. To was all fine but the return was terrible. They never turned up and left us in the freezing cold at 10pm and offered no solution! Awful service. Stay clear!
Be very careful with this company
Be very careful. Last night I ordered a taxi to pick me up from the Liverpool Cruise Terminal at 8.20 this am. They sent the drivers name, vehicle reg a colour to me at 8.09. I spoke to the driver
on the phone to say I was still aboard and said "don't go without me" I will get off soon. When I got out the car was there without the driver so I waited along side it and he arrived with some other passengers who said they had just ordered the taxi. My taxi was passed over to someone else in front of my eyes. This was really upsetting as I had planned the night before for them to take me over to the Wirral. I ended up having to get a black cab.
Try andvuse a different company if you can because this is not reliable at all.
I beg of you, avoid this company like it's the plague.
How can I put this?
To say that Argyle Satellite are never on time would be quite the understatement. In some cases, they can be frustratingly early to the point that they arrive some 5 to 10 minutes before the time the journey was actually booked for before starting the meter on the app and overcharging you to the tune of 25 pence per minute despite them having arrived early. In other cases, they are so late that there is a greater chance of a herd of pastel-coloured pegasi appearing than there is of a taxi from this company appearing. In both cases, I find this to be particularly frustrating as due to personal circumstances as of writing, I have to use this company to get to and from work each day. Their monopoly in the Wirral does not help matters one bit.
Furthermore, they have a peculiar proclivity for overcharging to the point I am convinced that they are the taxi company equivalent of the most capitalistic Ferengi in Star Trek, hoarding all their wealth like they're a fusion of Grand Nagus Zek and Liquidator Brunt. I would wager that if Jeff Bezos were to spend all his wealth on taxi journeys using Argyle, he'd be able to afford 2 journeys, maybe 3 before finding himself destitute and holding a paper cup in the rain and asking for spare change Oliver Twist-style, and that's if the journey was from Birkenhead to Liverpool.
If it were at all possible, I would rate the company 0, maybe -1 out of 5.
Some of the drivers are nice, but that is a small plus in a sea of minuses.
As for how I would review trying to book a taxi on the app while paying by card, I have to say with no word of a lie, that the experience is like having a bucketful of enraged scorpions poured down the back of your trousers while you're trying not to spill the full cup of tea that's in your hand. You go to put the card details in or it's already there, right? Either way, you choose the time, put in the instructions for the driver, use some of that "Argyle credit" thing they've got going on, and when it says to authenticate with the bank and you've done so, it goes right back to step one instead of actually doing the booking. NOT the kind of thing you want if you need to get somewhere before the sun expands into a red giant. It makes it impossible to use any of that "Argyle credit" you've earned from past trips anyway.
In short, the app experience is like trying to play Jenga during an magnitude 9.5 earthquake where the gravity is 1% that of Earth's.
