If only I’d seen the reviews on here before placing an order. The automated chatbot is useless. I ordered 4 days ago and paid for 48hr delivery yet still not shipped. I’m sorry but I expected better.

Sadly a parcel no show before Christmas. This was a ceramic coffee filter jug meant to be a present. Wish I had read an earlier review of 2 December before ordering. Similar problem with the delivery company APD. No tracking data available for me, and no consignment either. Then Assembly ran out of stock. Very disappointing. On a positive note, Assembly Coffee have refunded me.

Impressive coffee but poor delivery service

I have been a long-time customer of Assembly Coffee. They roast really good coffee and it is always shipped fresh. However, not so long ago I have ordered a manual grinder from them (which was quite expensive) and selected APC Overnight delivery. After 4 days, the package has still not arrived and appears to be lost... According to the tracking information, the parcel has not been scanned once, and the local depot has no idea of its status.

The Customer support team is unable to provide timely answers, leaving customers in silence for long periods.

Sometimes it is hard to leave an emotionally unbiased review; nonetheless, Assembly Coffee has really wasted a lot of my time.

Good(?) coffee with a pretty disappointing company policy on lost parcels. I ordered coffee and an orea 4 in 1 brewer to collect from a pickup point, I couldn’t collect within 10 days due to getting married and moving house.

After an exhausting game of cat and mouse between the pick up point and assembly coffee CS (Dee was very polite) it turns out that DHL have lost the parcel when returning it to the warehouse so they refuse to replace the (£50!!) brewer - they did replace the coffee, but without any way to make the coffee all I can do is smell it. It smells good, but also has something of a bitter aftertaste given the circumstances.

Customer support were very polite through the experience despite being unwilling to make things right and replace my full order. They suggested I pursue DHL for the parcel but I have no contract with DHL, they did, really felt fobbed off (again in the most polite way possible) to be honest.

My wife ordered a selection pack for me for Father’s Day. She paid express delivery but the coffee never came. Assembly stated this was to do with the courier. They then sent another which also didn’t arrive due to courier. They then sent another with the promise to add some extras for the inconvenience. The coffee came, however nothing extra for the inconvenience. When my wife emailed them about this she didn’t get a response. Although the courier problem is not directly their fault, they should have ensured the next packages came successfully and shouldn’t promise to include extras but then don’t honour this, while also ignoring customer emails after.

Great coffee--I've been subscribed to Assembly's house espresso for over 3 years (and have tried other single origin roasts) and I've never been disappointed--it's straightforward to dial in on my espresso machine, tastes great black, but also works really well with milk. When ordering/ subscribing online they ship your coffee very quickly as well. Customer service is always great too--I've had to make changes and adjustments to my orders in the past and the team at Assembly respond quickly and are very helpful.

They make lovely and consistently great espresso coffee!

Recently had a few issues with my order getting lost in the mail, but Pat got back to me and the issue was quickly resolved.

Lovely coffee, the natural Colombian I’m drinking at the moment is one of the most interesting coffees I’ve drink in ages! So good, with quick delivery. Thanks guys!

Outstanding coffee. I drink a lot of coffee and have tried a lot of different companies and have found Assembly consistently produces high-quality and delicious beans. Bravo Assembly - keep up the great work.

Ordering process was fine, product arrived nicely presented however I would advise only to order from here if you are able to grind whole beans. Their order page give you a section to specify if you need the coffee ground as part of the order but they ignored this and sent whole bean anyway which I cannot use. Attempted to contact them via email for support however have been unable to get a reply from them so if you need your coffee ground I'd avoid this company.
