Poor Leadership
Avetta does not practice what it preaches publicly. To their employees, they do the opposite of what they claim to value. According to multiple former employees, Avetta has a pattern and practice of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and retaliation. Multiple complaints have been filed with the EEOC and the NLRB on Avetta in the last 18 months. A current complaint filed in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, Houston Division (Case Number 4: 26-cv-03147) alleges that Avetta fired an employee while on FMLA leave, with a known medical condition; and despite his pending EEOC charge. Avetta is a defendant in the lawsuit along with CEO, Arshad Matin, CCO-Abid Yousuf, CHRO-Aaron Wattam, VP of People Operations-Johanna Gneiting, VP of Client Success-Leah Morelos, Global Manager People Operations- Anna Bradbury, and Senior Manager Client Success- Stephany Acosta.
The Chief Legal Officer, Jeff Dalton, was alleged to have told the employee after firing him to "get a lawyer for a lawyer to lawyer conversation" despite impacting his ability to do so financially. The EEOC has determined that reasonable cause existed for discrimination and the NLRB is expediting their review of Avetta's conduct as a repeat offender.
To clients and vendors: If Avetta treats their own employees this way, how do you think they will treat you and your business?
