I cannot stress enough how in depth this course was or how excellent the support from everyone at Broadway was. I highly recommend using broadway for all counselling studies. I've learnt to much. Thank you to all the tutors and staff you've been absolutely fantastic and I'm so excited to move to level 3 and 4 with you.

A very insightful course which was well-delivered and interesting all the way through. Everyone on the course developed their counselling skills and grew in confidence. I didn't hesitate about signing up for the Level 3 course with Broadway.

having had an interest in becoming a counsellor at various points in my life I eventually took the plunge at Broadway. Feeling very nervous as it had been some years since I had participated in education.
My nerves were soon eased by our tutor Kellie who has been fantastic throughout the course. Turning what was an interest in counselling, into a realisation that counselling is a career path I would like to pursue.
My classmates have also made the experience incredibly enjoyable as have the rest of the admin team and staff at Broadway. Supporting me throughout with any queries or additional support with IT skills.

I really enjoyed my time as a student with Broadway Academy — it was both enlightening and deeply rewarding. Personally, I was most drawn to the Transactional Analysis (TA) and Gestalt elements, which complemented and strengthened my understanding of the person-centred approach. The opportunity to practise counselling skills before starting placement was invaluable, and both the tutors and my peers were instrumental in building my confidence throughout.

I feel very lucky to be part of such a supportive group, something that the tutors clearly fostered. A real highlight for me was the Personal Professional Development (PPD) group as I didn’t anticipate just how meaningful and thought-provoking PPD would be. It was a space of genuine growth, depth, and connection.

Both Debbie and Rob were incredibly supportive, balancing professionalism with humour and humanity. They were there during the challenging times and always brought warmth and encouragement. I honestly can’t thank them enough — they truly deserve the strokes!

When 14 weeks pregnant, Broadway Counselling confirmed that they felt that firing me due to my refusal to counsel a client processing miscarriage trauma was justified and appropriate. I disagree, and felt that I would have done a disservice to that client due to my pregnancy status.

I’m currently embarking on my second year of training at Broadway. I’m not sure I can adequately and articulately describe the transformative experience so far with Rob and Debbie. I’ve never experienced learning quite like it or had tutors who bring so much of themselves in to the teaching. From the moment I stepped in to that classroom I just knew I was in the right place. Debbie almost moved me to tears on the first day with her passion about counselling. It’s completely infectious!
They’re not only inspiring, passionate leaders but also experts in their field. They provide us with up to the minute research and theory whilst expertly weaving in to real-life examples to help us solidify the learning.
They have taught me so much so far not only about the therapeutic world but also about myself and others.
I could not have wished for better tutors and I will be forever grateful to have experienced their teaching.

A transformative experience both professionally and personally, and a journey I will never forget (or ever come back from...in a good way 😊). I feel very grateful to Debbie and Rob for all of their amazing support over the 2 years of this course. Course content, lectures and workshops were well structured and moved at a pace that accommodated all levels within the class with each class member given the individual support and focus they needed. The learning environment was a joy to be in and a part of, and the comradery fostered within the group has given me friends and a support group for life. I can’t recommend Broadway enough!

Debbie and Rob provide a warm, supportive and engaging environment for their students to explore the challenges of learning to be a counsellor. Sessions are well prepared and informative, homework is marked in a sensitive manner and on time, and all with a sense of humour!

I have just completed my first year of a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and have been very happy with the quality of teaching and support.
The course provides a good balance between theory and practice, with lectures and plenty of experiential learning, such as counselling skills practice, group supervision, and group personal development.
The use of real-life examples throughout the lectures has deepened my understanding and made the learning feel relevant.
I've had a few laughs along the way which has provided light relief as inevitably, there have been times when themes have really affected me personally.
The Saturday workshops have been valuable to learn from the year above and their counselling placements as well as meeting other trainees and getting to know them.
The support and encouragement to apply for placements has been great.
I have learnt so much about myself on this journey and would recommend the counselling training with Broadway.

I found Broadway Counselling after my original Level 3 course was cancelled, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier that I made the move. The teaching here is outstanding – supportive, thoughtful, and clearly designed with the bigger picture in mind. They connect students across different year groups and cohorts, and are even building strong alumni links, which really makes you feel part of a community.

Debbie and Rob are incredibly supportive, and their feedback on written work is both rigorous and constructive – it pushes you while also encouraging you. I feel completely held by the course and the team.

It felt like a big leap of faith to commit financially to the Level 4 course, but I’m so glad I took that gamble. Even if my original course had run, I wouldn’t change a thing – Broadway has been the best possible place for me.

I did my first year of Level 4 training at another college, where I was taught by Debbie and Rob (who own and teach at Broadway). After such a positive experience with them, I have moved to Broadway for my second year to continue studying under their guidance. The tutors here are incredibly supportive, and you can really tell they genuinely care about us and our journeys. They adapt their teaching to our individual needs and encourage each of us to develop our own unique counselling style.

The teaching is engaging, down-to-earth, and influenced by real lived experience, which makes learning various theoretical areas easier to understand. As someone with ADHD, I’ve found them to be especially understanding and flexible in supporting neurodiverse learners, which has made a huge difference to my confidence and progress.

I’ve also attended several CPD workshops at Broadway, which were excellent and played a big part in my decision to continue training here. They offer a wide variety of CPD options, all practical, well organised, and genuinely valuable for development. The facilities are fantastic too, providing a professional yet welcoming and comfortable space to learn and feel supported.

I’m really glad I made the move to Broadway and would highly recommend them to anyone considering counselling training or CPD.
