I’ve had a wonderful experience with BARF India. The quality of the food has always been consistently fresh and reliable, and my pet "Marble" absolutely loves it. I’ve noticed positive changes in energy, coat health, and overall well-being after switching. The ordering process is smooth, deliveries are timely, and the customer support team is always helpful and responsive. It’s rare to find a pet food brand that maintains such high standards consistently, and I highly recommend them to every pet parent looking for healthy and trustworthy nutrition options for their pets.

It has taken me a good year and half to write this review!

One thing that's consistent throughout my liaison with BARF India is that the food has worked wonders for my Casper. Our home is Casper's (a lab) second home... He came to us super energetic, a live wire and as almost all labs, having weight and hip issues. There were certain days, especially during winters and monsoons, where he wouldnt be able to stand up and would whine incessantly due to the pain.
The vet had told us he would have this issue on and off on a lifelong basis, as he had an early onset of hip dysplasia.

We resigned to carrying Casper every 20-30 days to the vet for a pain injection.
Until we changed his diet..Till then we were feeding Casper premium brand kibble. We had experimented with a few premium joint nutrition focused kibble brands but didn't find any change.

We began our journey with BARF India in 2017 and embraced the raw food diet concept through them. We have tried their single protein chicken, single protein fish, single protein lamb, and settled with alternating between Raw Joint Support Special Green lipped Mussels and the rest, for alternate weeks.

During the initial few years the last mile delivery and turn around times from the date of order was a point of friction. We struggled with them and they struggled too. And the only thing going strong and consistent was the fact that the food slowly started working wonders!

Within a 6-8 month period we no longer had to witness Casper having issues with standing up anymore. Vet visits reduced to almost a bare minimum, i.e, a routine check up once a year to check if "all is fine".
We contemplated changing but BARF India's founder, Brian comes with years of experience in pet nutrition. He would, in the initial years attend to our calls personally in case of any other change or ad hoc health issue relating to skin or gut problem we faced.

Post COVID, in 2023-24, we faced a lot of logistic issues with delivery from them and we were pretty miffed. At the time, Brian told us they were struggling with establishing a robust last mile cold chain delivery by themselves, as India doesn't have a reliable and consistent pan India cold chain last mile delivery system. They asked us to hang on and just keep the faith.. and we did ..against a lot of flack and online reviews they were recieving.. won't deny we were that we were tempted to leave many times during that period..

But now it's 1.5 years and they have managed to keep our faith and grow it! They have established their own cold chain delivery system, which is commendable in a space where that's a huge challenge (and that takes time in the land of jugaad😄), and today their TAT's do not exceed more than 48-72 hours, from the day the order is placed, delivered in frozen condition.
I have referred many pet parent friends (dog & cat) and almost all have had some pet health issue and all have seen improvements after switching to BARF India.

They have evolved by taking feedback constructively. And working on how best to make challenges into positives.. their last mile deliveries, their customer service, and they also listened to India centric unique challenges.. They have introduced health issue specific diet plans, customisation for specific issues, and provided a solution to the aversion to handling raw food. They have listened and now have cooked food, air dried food, and supplementary toppers for vegetarian households!

Kudos to BARF India from where they were and to where they are currently, how they continue to keep evolving!

I strongly recommend them since I've kept the faith and lived to tell the tale😄

i have had a fantastic experience with BARF india. I have had a dog with itchy skin and Brian, the founder went out of his way to customise the meal plan for me

i have to also give special mention to John who continually followed up for shipments and to check on the progress made

all in all a real wonderful experience over the last 4 months

No product delivered, no refund issued, no customer service response - whatsapp or phone. Fraud.

Please don't order from Barf India. They don't deliver the product, and then don't issue a refund. I have tried calling them multiple times and no one picks up calls. This company is a fraud.

They sent the dog food I ordered two e. The third time I placed a larger order and they completely ghosted me. No follow up email to say the food has been dispatched, no answering emails or WhatsApp messages.

Please don't order with them. They don't have a refund policy. No "contact us" that works. Inconsistent and untrustworthy.

Pathetic service. They have no concept of customer service. They dont answer calls, on whatsapp its like youre speaking to 10 different people who say different things. they dont even bother to answer you. the first time as a new client someone named John picks up and speaks properly and everything. There after you're just ******. they are just keep receiving payments and no responsibility nothing. Dont ever trust them. there is no way you can plan your dogs meals when the company is unreliable and does'nt even have enough respect/manners or gratitude for your order. I hope they loose the license so people stop falling for this shit.

i saw the previous comment after i ordered.. seems like a legit modern day scammers, i ordered for 2k rupees and its been 2weeks , no item delivery, neither are they picking the calls or responding to emails.
i have screenshots of their email and chats in whatsapp.. such a fraud company, hope ppl don’t fall for their fancy website.. they are full of scam
This is a fraud company.. please every beware..

Ordered some products worth INR 1300+ on Sept 15th, 2022. I have been waiting ever since, for the ordered to be delivered. The tracking information as provided by them is also not updated and still shows that the consignment was booked on 15th September in Navelim, Goa. When I tried to reach out to them on their Whatsapp number given on the website, somebody responded that we will look into it and get back shortly. This was three days ago. I tried calling their other number as given on their website, but nobody answers. Sent an email to their customer care email address, but no response. Needless to say, they are scammers and are just looting customers. Some lucky customers might have received their products. But, it's like Russian Roulette with them. Order at your own risk, because they will take the payment first (no option of COD) and then you might end up not receiving your product and the money back.
