Over a year and 11 phones calls!
Over a year and 11 phones calls this year. Only two cameras and they fail all the time. Spent hours on the phone and it seem the owner has not responded on any of the problems. Shipping is aways a week. Ask for next day shipping and they refused. These are used in a house that I am selling inside near a window!

My order BO33113 was supposed to arrive…
My order BO33113 was supposed to arrive last Thursday September 30th via UPS. For some odd reason it was transferred to USPS and now isn’t set to arrive next Tuesday October 5. I specifically scheduled a trip last Thursday to take and install camera at my property on another island. I now had to cancel all arrangements and reschedule but not sure if camera will arrive on time or not. Currently is in California. Why was it moved to USPS?

Customer service diagnosed the problem…
Customer service diagnosed the problem remotely, suspended the camera, mailed a SD card with firmware update, provided accurate instructions via email. Problem fixed the first time.

Camera didn't work more than 1/2 the…
Camera didn't work more than 1/2 the time, I cancelled service in March and they billed my card without authorization in March, April, May & June and still waiting for the refund promised Josh Phifer the CEO and at that time it was $ 15.00 that was on 3/11/26 and as of now it's $60.00 and still getting my transaction was declined because I thankfully removed them from auto pay on my card! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I'm Steve, and I lead the customer experience team at Barn Owl. I've reviewed your case, and I want to apologize for how it was handled.
When you asked to cancel in March, our team replied asking whether you'd prefer to suspend the account, which pauses billing so you can easily monitor again later, or delete it entirely. We didn't hear back, so the account was left active and kept billing through June. In July you sent us everything we needed, and this is where we unfortunately dropped the ball. That isn't acceptable. I've reviewed this with everyone involved and as of now we have just completed doubling the size of our support team.
I also saw you mentioned Josh. He sent a Fourth of July note to all of our customers this summer, and with everything else you were getting from us at the time, I can completely see how that got mixed in. The promise to review your refund came from our support team, and it was ours to keep.
Christina, our Support Team Lead, has refunded the full $60 you mentioned. You should see it on your statement within the next 7 to 10 business days. I can also confirm that your account has been cancelled.

I still haven’t received my camera that was warranty, should have never taken this long and also I am tired of having to log in all the time to look at my pictures, all other cameras I have been using I don’t have to do that

Barn owl. Great concept but no support
I have had a barn owl camera for a little over a year, and it has not worked properly for more than a month since I first installed it. When the problems first started BO would answer the phone and try to help but now they don’t answer the phone, or chat, or email. They have a mechanism to schedule a phone call, but on the several occasions I tried that they didn’t respond. The list of excuses is lengthy, vendors slow to react to software issues, employees on vacation or quitting, my cell provider changing signals or something. They have replaced my camera 6 times. The only thing that they do well is charge me for their service. I don’t write reviews but hope this one will save someone else from climbing a ladder to troubleshoot or change their camera as many times as I have.

You're right that six replacements is a lot. We were determined to get your camera performing well at the exact location you wanted. In the vast majority of cases we're able to get a great signal. But cellular coverage is a moving target: carriers reshuffle their networks over time, and a spot that worked great can become genuinely difficult or lose signal altogether.
