Dont buy from them if you are out of the EU. I bought this in the UK, aware that I will pay duty which is fine. Then I wanted to return, taking full responsiblity of the UK duty refund, but then got told by them that they will charge me for duty on the Italian side! I have bought from may site in Italy and rest of EU and having to pay for the Italian duty on return was a first! It is their way of disuading you from returning items!

This is not a reliable website, they sent me the wrong item, I had to pay approx. 100 GBP taxes on the wrong item due to the shipment to the UK. Then I requested a return with refund, it is not possible to return due to an 'imported product'. Hence, I requested a discount code to be able to actually buy AGAIN what I ordered initially. They ignored my emails and never got back. Don't use this website.

Don’t be fooled purchasing from the UK. I ordered a Gucci bag at a discounted price of £940.00, which with the exchange rate worked out to be £1001.00, I then received an email from DHL saying I had an import duty of £237.00. So in total it was actually more expensive than purchasing direct from the Gucci store. To entice you, the website also offered you two different discount codes which apparently couldn’t be applied to my type of purchase. When placing my order it did state that the price may be slightly different which you assume is the difference in exchange rate, there is no mention of the huge import duty/tax that you will be hit with.

Terrible, Held money for a long period of time with no communication then cancelled order without ever responding after talking to CC company. There are plenty of boutiques to choose from and no reason to choose this one.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes that never arrived. I paid for the shoes using my Paypal credit account. The refund I received was £50 less on each pair of shoes. How can this be when I never received the items.

The qualities of the item I bought is not according to standards I am used to a Woolwich jacket. The seller is not accepting the return of the I jacket I bought. poor seller, and obviously a fraud with no original products.

I was a little bit scared at first, fearing that the products weren’t authentic, and that the shipping was going to take forever. Cause I live in the USA 🇺🇸. I got a versace belt and some versace shorts. And they’re 100% authentic. Shipping took about 3 business days. The only thing is that the belt didn’t come with the Versace box. But it came pretty well packed. I will be doing business with Base Blu again!

Total CROOKS! They’ve put an enormous charge on import duty/tax order and justified their action due to the fact that 🇬🇧 Is EXTRA EU country!

I have to admit I was nervous ordering from a boutique in Europe because delivery in the US is so slow, I thought I would never get my product. I ordered a beautiful Dolce and Gabbana briefcase for my daughter who is graduating from law school, not only is the case absolutely gorgeous it only took 5 days to arrive, I did email a few questions, and to my surprise I received an answer right back. I would not hesitate to order again from Base Blu.

Charged duty on a product which should be cheaper than the competitors. They have lost my business won't be back again.
Charged £184.43 from DHL if you go to Farfetch you won't have this charge and this means Farfetch is cheaper all around.

I ordered Converse Run Star Hike shoes and they came in the wrong color AND size. I also paid over $30 for international shipping. Ridiculous. This is a sorry excuse for a retail site. I'm keeping this 1 star review until I can get a refund for my order.

Unlike others, I had a great experience with Baseblu. Got a pair of Givenchy boots that normally go for over $1200 USD retail (+taxes) for barely over $600.

At first I actually wasn't done looking and didn't realize PayPal would complete the transaction, I initially asked to cancel my order to which they responded the next day and said they will cancel it. After looking and mulling it over, I sent another email stating if it hasn't been cancelled, to just let the order go through.

They ended up shipping it and I got it earlier than anticipated despite the delays on my end of choosing. I think most of the negatives come from returns, which it does explain on their site that it is on the consumer for any shipping/custom charges for returns, they do not specify anywhere that it's free returns.

In the end, if you want to make sure you like the item you're interested in, you can definitely purchase from a site like Farfetch and return it after you try them to purchase from Baseblu, just so you're 100% on liking the item. I took a chance with my purchase but Baseblu was very friendly and quick in their responses.

I've had bad experiences from sites like Cettire that have great prices but awful shipping times/no communication and a $25 cancellation fee if you don't want to wait anymore. Baseblu was nothing like that, so I have to disagree with the negative reviews for now.

I ordered a hoodie from this company. The one they sent had faulty embroidery across the front. You can tell as soon as you look at it so I don’t know why they considered trying to sell it to somebody. I paid £68 in taxes and duties to have the item delivered to the U.K. They have refused to refund me this money even though they knew they were sending damaged goods. Terrible company.

Avevo ordinato una tracolla a portafoglio Pinko tramite il sito Farfetch il quale aveva incaricato il negozio Base Blu di inviarmi il prodotto. Mi è stata inviata una borsa molto più grande non corrispondente a quella che avevo ordinato. La mia era un portafoglio Pinko con tracolla a catena col logo a chiusura senza la scritta della marca. La borsa ricevuta era enorme, con la scritta della marca e invece della tracolla una fascia grande con applicate sopra delle spille a forma di conchiglia. Dall’immagine potevano rendersi conto che avevo ordinato un’altra cosa, ma anche dal prezzo potevano accorgersi che ciò che avevo ordinato non corrispondeva al prodotto ricevuto visto che il portafoglio costa meno di tutti gli altri prodotti della linea. Inoltre scorrendo il loro sito e soprattutto il sito Farfetch dal quale avevo effettuato l’ordine il prodotto che mi avevano inviato non era nemmeno presente. Come facevo ad aver ordinato un prodotto non presente? Forse qualche giacenza di cui volevano disfarsi? Ho effettuato il reso tramite Farfetch e il rimborso è stato effettuato, ma ovviamente come c’era scritto le spese di spedizione non sono state rimborsate. Visto che su ordini così costosi non siete nemmeno in grado di restituire le spese di spedizioni abbiate almeno la decenza di controllare e inviare i prodotti correttamente. Da un negozio di lusso mi aspetto un servizio impeccabile. Potrei pensare che sia stato un caso eccezionale, ma viste le recensioni non positive direi che non è così.

Ordered and received 3 items within a few days. Thoughtfully packaged. Sale prices are competitive among the Italian boutiques.

I mostly do my fashion shopping online, and have been doing so for years. I can easily say that shopping buying from Base Blu was the worst, most stressful experience I’ve ever had.

Firstly, they’ve sent me the wrong item. They apologised for the mistake and asked me to send it back and will send the correct item once they received it. They did say they had to go through a process of refunding my payment, then sending out a new request for the same amount (they made a “mistake” again and tried to charge me over double the original amount by the way). I asked if that was necessary and they said yes, there’s no way around it. When they refunded me the amount, I received £16 less than what I’ve paid, I’m guessing through Paypal currency exchange fees or something. I told them about this loss and initially they said they will reimburse it. However, they broke their promise afterwards and gave me the whole “there’s nothing we can do, it’s our finance system” crap. If they had done their job properly to begin with, I would have been happy after receiving the correct shoes a few days after I placed the order. 
Instead, I received the item 3 weeks and 5 days after I placed the order, having to go through a convoluted exchange process, having issues with the courier failing to pickup, facing Brexit complications, and losing £16 along the way. May not look like a significant amount, but why should a customer lose extra money because of the shop’s incompetence?

If you enjoy being stressed out and having your time and money wasted, then Base Blu is the right shop for you! You might think you see a good deal price-wise on this site, but think carefully about what happens if you don’t receive the item you paid for and losing money even if it’s not your fault. Shopping here felt like a gamble.
