Can’t thank the Belverdale team and partnering contractors enough! Recently we have had our family home completely remodelled including both interior and exterior work. From start to finish, these contractors have been impeccable with an attention to detail, clean, precise and completely dedicated to creating a family home which we love. From the rip out team to the floorers, Kitchen fitters, Plumbers, joiners, Electricians and members of team in the office, they are great to work alongside with and are genuinely lovely people.
We are very pleased with our home and would recommend this company to anybody.

We engaged Belverdale under a JCT Intermediate Buildings Contract for the full remodeling and refurbishment of our 1930 large residential detached property in Hale. The works included large side and rear extensions as well as works to increase the size of the basement. Additional complexity was added as I wanted to split the works and carry out the M&E and Architectural fit-out works myself in order to utilise my previous construction experience and save some costs. We had to jointly deal with some challenges as we progressed the works but we worked with Steve and his team to deliver our fabulous house and we are all proud of the final finished project. Steve was helpful throughout the project by providing useful contacts of other trades / suppliers to help us complete our project. We also thank Steve for his commitment at the end of the project to close out any small issues we had.

Steve and the team at Belverdale came to re-configure our downstairs living space, including a new kitchen and utility room. From the word go they were absolutely fantastic!! Everything was organised and planned - we knew what was happening each week and on occasions daily when required.

As with building works, problems arose along the way, which were dealt with swiftly and efficiently by Steve and his team - nothing was a problem. We also had a change suggested by Steve which resulted in a far better look than we had planned - again this was sorted without any bother at all.

We chose not to move out and knew there would be disruption but again Steve planned for that and the disruption to us was totally minimal and managed perfectly.

The project was completed in exactly the time we had been told, pretty much to the day. The finish was exceptional and gave us a completely different look to our space. The service we received after the work was completed again was first class. Any snags were sorted swiftly and at times still call on Steve to help and he does without any problem. I’d highly recommend the Belverdale team without any hesitation.

The Belverdale team came to our rescue when the previous builder made a pigs ear of everything and came to our rescue within a month of us sacking them. Whilst we did have some bumps in the road with Belverdale, mainly around communication within the many departments of their company (i.e electricians not communicating with others and vice versa) the build was done to a very high standard and the neighbors were kept very happy with the work throughout. We did have some slowdown in getting works finished due to the sheer amount of jobs that Belverdale had on at the time, but we knew this going in as we were a rescue job and they were very kind in helping us out, we are very happy with the end product.

Belverdale were recommended to us by two separate friends and having no experience of a house renovation on this scale, we needed someone who could hold our hand through the process and deliver on our vision. Steve and his team certainly did that and more. From the moment we met Steve we knew he was the person for the job. Each team member that came to work on the house was polite and professional, they were clearly very skilled, any issues that arose were dealt with quickly and they did a great job of clearing up at the end of each day. I was expecting the front of the house to look like a building site but they kept it safe and tidy at all times. Steve and Reece were always on hand to help with any queries that we had along the way and the quality of the finish that Belverdale achieved far exceeded our expectations. We can’t thank Belverdale enough, we love our home.

Belverdale tendered for the project in 2019 to carry out a substantial renovation to a bungalow we had recently purchased. The job completed 2 months later than the contract completion date due to lockdown.The work on site progressed whilst we were living off site.The job was substantially completed during 2020.
Steve was very good throughout the job. He was prepared to work under a JCT building contract, and we employed a project manager to interface with Belverdale. They worked well together.
One of Belverdale's strengths is putting together a team to work on the project and Steve has a wonderful directory of contacts, a number of whom we used.
There were a number of snags at the end of the contract. Steve responded promptly to deal with these and they were corrected or resolved without question.
There were some downsides. Belverdale's Contract Site Manager changed a number of times as the job progressed.The result was that some problems were not picked up. We were not entirely happy with some of the work of the electrical and plumbing sub-contractors and we took this up with Steve as constructive criticism at the time.
The cost of the work was above the contract budget. This was mainly due to having to undertake elements of work, which we had originally excluded from the contract, like renewing the main roof.
Steve put together a good team and a competitive quotation. He was always very pleasant to deal with and has a good sense of humour. Belverdale helped us achieve a wonderful renovated property that many of our friends and acquaintances have commented on very favourably.
We have recommended Belverdale during the work and since. All in all we would recommend Belverdale for producing a high quality renovation project.

A substantial single storey rear extension was completed on time and within budget by Belverdale.

The project was managed by their Managing Director, Steve, with the utmost professionalism. The whole team was polite and courteous and carried out their work to the highest standard. I would highly recommend Belverdale to all and indeed have done so to close friends and family. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

We chose Belverdale to demolish and rebuild our house because from the very first moment I met Steve we hit it off and I was very confident that Belverdale was more than capable of doing a full new build for us and the proof was in the pudding. I can’t recommend them enough and I know not many people can say they never once fell out with their builder.

We commissioned Steve and his Belverdale team to build our small side return extension.

Our extension was a tiddler of a job given the size of projects they typically work on and our main concern was that we'd be way down the pecking order in terms of getting their time and attention should things start getting pushed.

Added to that, it's a really awkward site to get to and work with and we had a very challenging neighbour and party wall agreement to work around. We had 3 companies quote and they weren't the cheapest, or the most expensive, but from the outset they were the most transparent, reliable and responsive and with hindsight we're 100% happy we went with them.

Steve and his team couldn't have been more communicative throughout the build. They handled the situation with our neighbours with courtesy and respect. The contractors on the job were excellent too. All really helpful, knowledgable, skilled and very patient with our lack of decisiveness, or last-minute changes.

The quality of their work is brilliant and we are delighted with the space they have created for us. Was it delivered to schedule and budget? Pretty much. Was the process perfect? No. Were there bumps along the way? Yes! Was it stressful? Absolutely! But I think going into something like this, everyone needs to be realistic and accept that it's not going to be 100% smooth sailing.

Another important point. The aftercare has been superb. We had an issue with water ingress through the roof - due to the way the building had been historically plumbed and the biblical rains in Manchester lately. They have attended twice and rerouted pipe works and we were relieved that they maintained the same service level post-completion.

It's a big investment and a huge disruption to your home and life so anyone going into it should feel comfortable that they have confidence and trust in the team they appoint and know they have your back. It's a small thing, but I think with Belverdale, as it's a family business, their name is their reputation and Steve and his team work very hard to protect that and keep their customers happy.

We used Belverdale for our single storey extension and could not be happier with the final result. The Belverdale team did a great job. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the projects quickly and as scheduled. As with any build there were a few challenges along the way, but Belverdale dealt with them quickly and efficiently, meaning the extension was still delivered to the original timescale with minimal fuss. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We used Belverdale on a renovation project in 2021 / 2022. Belverdale are great to deal with - they are clear on timescales and Steve is excellent at communicating and keeping everyone in the loop. Can't comment on work as such but horrendous customer service and morals. They didn't follow drawings to properly waterproof property during works which resulted in damage to property next door (mine). They accepted full liability immediatley but then refused to pay which ultimately resulted in court action against them. They eventually paid, including court costs and interest, 3 months after they should have done.

Steve and his team of professionals and sub-contractors truly surpassed our expectations. The quality, craftmanship and speed in which the team delivered our sizeable extension and renovation was truly impressive.

As others have mentioned, Belverdale are not the cheapest building firm on the market, but we can safely say from our experience that you get what you pay for with them. All their sub-contractors showed the utmost professionalism and assisted us with countless requests and questions that we had during the process, they did this without hesitation and always remained professional and polite.

Both me and my wife are completely over the moon with the finished job and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Belverdale to anyone considering building work.

We can’t thank the Belverdale team enough! Having never done a house extension before we really needed someone to take control and lead the whole project. From our very first meeting with Steve, we could tell he was a force to be reckoned with! We were really impressed with their way of working, from the detailed billing to the ease and timeliness of communications.

Whilst not the cheapest quote, Belverdale were THE company that gave us confidence that the build could be done on budget and on time. Steve walked us through every step of the build, gave us recommendations for Kitchen designers and flooring contractors. Every team member that came to work here were so polite and professional – they cleared up after each day and left the site tidy and were just a thoroughly lovely bunch to have around! Our single storey rear and side extension took 14 weeks from start to finish, including the kitchen fit and flooring – it was on time and on budget – there were no surprise bills along the way. We are truly delighted with the end result and the space it’s given us.

We first met Steve in early 2021 when we were looking to extend our house due to a growing family.
I cannot speak highly enough of Steve and the team. From start to finish the lads were fantastic. Their work ethic and workmanship is some of the best I've seen. Nothing was too much trouble. Any issues that we came across were identified early, communicated and worked out with ease. The project was run on budget and on time. Steve and the team were great with our neighbours ensuring everyone was kept upto date and aware of the ongoing project.
