I had a fantastic experience working with my lender as a first-time homebuyer. They were incredibly fast in responding to my questions and took the time to explain every detail of the process, making sure I fully understood each step. Their efficiency in getting everything completed quickly was impressive, and their thoroughness made me feel confident throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a lender who is both helpful and professional!

Better Mortgage was HORRIBLE to deal with. It appears to be the general consensus with nearly everyone. Was the perfect candidate to get a heloc and was approved. Paid for an appraisal out pocket, and after the appraisal never heard from Better for over a week. I emailed them requesting a closing date and got no response. I called the processor and she was very evasive on questions I asked, finally saying that they could not fund my heloc due to my property having 12.5 acres and their limit was 10 acres. all of this was at the very last minute with no remorse. Requested to speak to a supervisor and was told that I would be contacted the next day. Never heard a word. Why couldn't they tell me that before I had paid for the appraisal And wasted a month of my time?TERRIBLE business practices! I guess that's the way things are done in New York.

It was quick and easy. Everyone as very helpful.

The process from applying for a home equity loan to closing was quick and easy to follow! Better's loan consultant and coordinator did a great job at staying in contact and being available for questions, too!

Better used to be better.

Better used to be great, but their service quality has noticeably declined. I worked with them for a refinance in 2021, and the experience was smooth, but recently, it seems like they've let their standards slip. It’s unclear if they’re committed to maintaining the high-quality service they once offered.

Staff was well trained and always helpful, courteous and friendly.

Ryan Dang is nailing it. He is on top of his game which means he is fast, friendly and furious (in a good way - furiously working to get me the best deal). I will send you all my referrals and I will come back again. Sanam is great at closing.

Would highly recommend Better to anyone. Great rates, everyone we interacted with from origination to closing was knowledgeable, lightning fast and easy to reach. In particular, our originator, Steve Woo, was accessible nights, weekends, early morning by phone, text or email. I really appreciate the user friendly online tool, the Rate table that allowed us to make the best decision for ourselves at our own pace and the constant communication and automated messages leading us through the whole process.

I have several rentals and it makes things more complicated. Everybody is patient to get it close.

After talking Dyllon, he put my mind at ease. He is very attentive and very easy to talk to . He makes time to answer all your questions and address your concern. Kody Powell is amazing! We had a lot of question around our refinance and he was able to answer every question with detail and clarity. Purchasing a home or refinancing can be stressful but I am glad that I have been working with Better on 3 different loans now and they never disappoint.
