The house is equiped Ok and looks great, but it was poorly designed and built with almost no means of insulation. That made it impossible to keep the heat, and the heater had to be left on at all times, blowing hot air, making it extremely difficult to breathe, and giving me headaches.
Also, it was an expensive house, and there were only three of us, but no firewood was provided and we had to spend extra to get firewood, and no one told us anything about that before hand either.
The heater didn't work for the first night and day, and we had to shiver in the cold. Next day, I had to call technician twice to get the heating fixed.
We booked three nights, but only stayed two nights. It was not as comfortable as we had wished, and there was nowhere to have dinner because every little nook and cranny was packed with people in the whole village of Big Bear.

Fantastic location! Great house! We had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay there again!!

I have sent a review about my experience staying here right after our visit responding to an email about feedback and I have yet to hear back from anybody.

If you are looking to stay at a filthy house, filled with animal fur, grease, broken furniture, roaches and other bugs, dog poop all over the garden and a really noisy furnace, then this is the please to be!!

Not worth the 3 hours waiting line for the checkin at all!

Worst spend money ever!!!

Few minor petty complaints with the rental company over our booking period; service was decent but not great. However, overall a great experience with the property and our stay.

The house was not vacuumed. You lose two days by checking in too late and checking out too early. We got there a little early around 2:30 PM to check in, they told us that we have to go back at 4:00 pm. We went back on time and we had to wait on line to check in, by the time we got to the house, it was around 5:30 pm.
I don't like the idea that we can not see the location of the house the time we book; just pictures. And we don't have access to the garage.

We had a great experience. The property was perfect. The price was right. Everyone at Big Vear Vacations was helpful. One of the reservation agents even lets us use her spare snow boots, during our visit. We will be back.

We left the property one day early because of its condition.

We had a great time on our Big Bear getaway. Everything went very smoothly with the rental experience with Big Bear Vacations. We will definitely use them again in the future. Loved the Barefoot Bungalow house!

Big bear vacations is a great company to book a rental through. I have never had any issues. The cabins are always clean when I arrive, check in is easy as is check out.

Check in time was too long (1:45 minutes), cabin was not clean, a hotel too
Is way cleaner.

Very professional . everything was smooth, and the house was perfect

Although the cabin/house was nice there was a lot of things that were brought to my attention about it being poorly maintained and updated. The Foosball table had broken parts. The dining table was very squeaky and moved way too much. One of the cabinet drawers in the hallway bathroom was broken. The back door was broken in 3 different places. It was very hard to go out and come back in with out having the hassle of the door. The blinds in the billiards play room were broken as well. Most blinds only coverd half way and the other remaining half wouldn't go up or down. The downstairs guestroom had broken closet sliding doors. Also the door in the same room that led towards the front /garage wouldn't close properly without having to push with force. Very unsafe if it didn't close properly.

Unresponsive and the rates are too high. We paid way to much for cleaning and the places was filthy. Visible hair and dirt on the hard furniture. The upstairs bed was like a ROCK. I tried numerous times to email Big Bear vacations and noone ever responded to make it right. I will never book with them again.
