I’ve spent thousands of AUD with BinaryLane over time, regularly topping up and using their services. Recently, I decided to stop using the platform as it no longer meets my requirements.

I requested a refund for the remaining unused credit only (not for any services already consumed), but my request was declined based on their internal policy that prepaid balances are non-refundable.

I communicated with Blake Kirkham from support, who was polite in responses but ultimately unwilling to offer any flexibility or goodwill, even given my long-term usage and the remaining balance on my account.

It’s disappointing that there is no room for discretion in situations like this. Additionally, an outdated ACCC reference was initially provided, which did not give confidence in how customer concerns are handled.

Overall, this experience leaves a poor impression. If you plan to use BinaryLane, be aware that any prepaid credit you add may not be refundable under any circumstances.

Extremely Unreliable and Unresponsive

I had a deeply frustrating experience with BinaryLane. They suspended my services for “verification reasons” without any prior notice or warning. After the suspension, I tried repeatedly to contact support via email and their support portal — no replies, no updates, nothing. My business was left in limbo.

Key problems:

Service suspended without advance warning or clear explanation.
No timely support response — emails and support tickets ignored.
No phone support or any urgent/priority channel to resolve critical outages.
Lack of transparency and communication during a disruptive incident.

Because of this, I can’t trust BinaryLane for any service that needs reliability or quick support. Shutting down services without warning and then failing to respond is unacceptable. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you need dependable hosting or responsive customer care. Absolute garbage.

Quite cheap prices, speedy in Australia. Good set of tools for managing your server. Keep in mind their advertised prices do not include GST, but that's the only downside I can think of.

They will charge for service then suspend your account but only provide general terms of service explanation as to why, I was only using binary lane for trading nothing else, they charged me for a month and only provided 10 days of service

Everything about this company is just great. Hourly billing, competitive pricing and locations in nearly all major Australian cities.

I have been using BinaryLane for over 7 months now, over that time I have never wanted to move away from the service for a reason related to the service or company being bad.

One of my favorite features of this host is having insane flexibility with how much ram, storage and cpu cores you have. Plans literally don't exist on this hosting provider, you make the plans yourself.

Overall I would definitely recommend this provider, sometimes I even wish they had locations over in places like Germany or the US so I can stop using some other providers and just use these guys for everything.

I wanted a cheap simple VPS in Melbourne, turns out their lowest offering has plenty of grunt to do my processing for me which offloaded tasks from my office server.
Setup was quick and easy.
I got a 2nd VPS in Perth centre.

Been with BinaryLane for 4 years. In this time I have never had an issue with downtime and whenever I have needed customer support they are prompt and helpful.

The fact their tools and interface is so feature-rich and intuitive makes it hard to ever need a support ticket in the first place!

Their hardware is fast and performance, latency, bandwidth is top notch.

Have ran a mailserver in this time and never had issues with being blacklisted either.

I was a long term customer of this company with a perfect payment history over 4 years. Due to an issue with email, we didn't realise that we had an unpaid invoice for a server (credit card expired). After a period of time they deleted the server (hosting a client's website) without notice and without contacting me, even though they had my mobile number on file. Upon dealing with their support team, it seemed that they could not care less about what had happened. I won't be using them again and I'll be moving the rest of my client websites away from Binary Lane when I get the chance.

Cannot even install basic packages using their Ubuntu Linux VPS. After countless reinstalls of the OS it remains with broken packages. Garbage.
