I was a client at Bioskin Laser from 2021 - 2023. During 2021, I only had a few sessions. In the spring and summer months of 2022 and 2023, I would see Raquelle multiple times a week for Venus Legacy radio frequency. This is probably one of my biggest regrets in life because it DESTROYED my thighs!
I had a small amount of the beginning signs of cellulite on the back of my thighs, that was it. I spent over $5,000 and now my inner thighs are destroyed (there was nothing wrong with them prior to the Venus Legacy treatments at Bioskin Laser). My inner thighs are full of indents, fat loss, holes, and irregularities. They look beyond awful and I don’t think anything can fully correct what has been done.
I reached out to Bioskin Laser and asked for a refund. I received an email back that was a personal attack, and a mix of flat-out lies and inaccurate information. They take no accountability for what they did to my legs and instead blame me lol. Shani, the “med spa owner”, even went as far as to blame me for not speaking with a dermatologist. Ummm lady…you do realize your website says “Bioskin Laser is a MEDICAL SPA in NYC with two locations in midtown and Upper East Side for your convenience,” right? I assumed you had some medical credentials if you own and operate a med spa. I mean, how do you offer Botox and accept CareCredit, but you don’t have a doctor or nurse on staff? I have a lot more info I’ll save for my lawsuit.
A few other red flags that I should have realized at the time. A lot of my payments there were made directly to Raquel via Zelle and Venmo, not Bioskin Laser. There was a reason for this, which I will leave off my review and again, save for my lawsuit. Raquelle asked me (at the request of Shani) on more than one occasion to write a Google review in return for free sessions or extended time during a session. I now know this goes against the FTC. “Penalties: Violating these rules can lead to substantial fines (up to $53,088 per violation).”--ftc.gov
I plan to report Bioskin Laser and all parties involved to New York State regulatory boards, the FTC, and proceed with a lawsuit. I believe there are multiple laws being broken. As of now, I have spent $5,092.98 at Bioskin Laser. However, I’m still in the process of adding everything up.
If you found them on Groupon and/or think their prices sound good……IT’S NOT WORTH IT! Trust me. It’s a lot safer to go to a legit med spa who charges more because of their expertise…something Bioskin Laser clearly has none of. STAY FAR AWAY! Also, check the NY and NJ court websites and you will see the owner has been sued multiple times. I’m not the first person that was disfigured, and unfortunately won’t be the last……unless they’re shut down.
