Small double ottoman bed good quality looks good. Complex time consuming assembly. It comes in 4 boxes with numerous parts. Fast delivery although staff were unable to to take the bed upstairs which seems unreasonable.

Good Design, Poor Laminate Quality
The price was reasonable and delivery was fast. The overall shape and style of the product are good, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. However, the laminate looks unrealistic and was already peeling in several areas upon arrival. This raises concerns about how well the product will hold up after a few months of use.

Three weeks later I'm still waiting for…
Three weeks later I'm still waiting for a re-delivery as the courier trashed the box. I'm constantly having to chase. Then being told it's definitely arriving on a certain date and then it doesn't turn up. Fed up of trying to get answers.
I really hope the furniture is worth the wait...

Birlea Sloane Patchwork Armchair
The item received is not the same as that shown on the website which has a wooden cross-support under the seat whereas the chair I received has no wooden frame and the legs screw directly into the base of the chair. It seems I have paid extra for a chair that is no different to much cheaper products available.
Update 03/02/2026
The issue has been resolved today with the retailer, Homebase, offering me a discount which I have accepted. They have dealt with the issue very promptly when it was obviously a problem with their supplier Birlea.
Hopefully Birlea will now update their website to show the actual product!

DIY CHALLENGE
On Next website right at bottom of description it was stated that self assembley was required For a small piece of furniture it was not made clear that this product would arrive flat packed. It had to be COMPLETELY self assembled. Even the drawer had to be put together and runners screwed on. Instructions not clear on right way round to put runners on. We were short of a screw in sealed packet, had to find own from personal diy box. THIS WOULD BE A CHALLENGE TO NON DIY PERSON. Looks just as nice as the photo on Next website when put together.

I’ve bought dining table 2 side tables and tv unit and all good quality and looks amazing. I’ve still put tv on wall and using tv unit for candles and flower display just love it all.

Purchased the Valencia tall chest from Blythe Living excellent experience all through.
Great price. Delivery from Birlea brilliant Katie and colleague were on time, polite, thoughtful and happy to help with placing it in room and offered to wait while I checked goods.
The item ( mirrored glass) was well packed and no damage whatsoever so ever very pleased.
