Great customer service

Great customer service - girl on helpline very pleasant and helpful. Very accommodating in emailing copy receipt in order I could return unwanted item. 1star deducted as store wouldn’t store wouldn’t do exchange without a (paper) receipt.

This is an update to my previous 5star review as im extremely disappointed with customer services. I tried to locate an item which I was told was in 4 local stores. Travelled to each but item wasn't in stock. Travelled to other stores but was unable to locate the item. Why cant b&m have product information like other companies as to which items are in stock. Complete waste of my journeys and customer service not at all helpful. Very disappointed as I spend a lot of money in b&m stores but this will definitely put me off.

Overcharging

This is Not the first time this has happened.

B & M seem to have 2 prices, a ticket price to entice you and a till price, you always need to check the marked up price against what you are charged at the tills.

There is No such thing as Sorry, they seems to be more annoyed that you have spotted the difference.

it is getting to the stage that I am shopping in their store (Newbury park Horns road ) less and less

My hoover stopped working so i lost the box and the receipt so I used the online chat tool and Debbie was great she was able to find my transaction so I could take it with me to get an exchange , she was fast , so helpful and superefficient

Excellent customer service from Jane!
I recently received a parking charge after staying 21 minutes over the limit. My stay was delayed because the escalator was out of order and there was only one person working on the till, which made things take much longer than expected.
I contacted customer services and spoke with Jane, who was absolutely brilliant. She was incredibly helpful and understood the situation, and I’m happy to say the parking charge has now been cancelled. Thank you, Jane, for the fantastic support!

Unhelpful staff with a male on a mobile phone walking through the store that wasn't a manager. Female shop assistants calling me "love" then told to go to another B&M store if socks not available. Instead I'm going to look in Primark.

I usually come to this store after school, but in my local B&M, they have a strange rule that only two school kids are allowed in the shop and you only have 2 minutes to complete your shopping experience. When I asked why the employee ignored me. Then I said “isn’t that ageist?” And he asked me to leave. So a bit rude… but when I come on the weekends it is very fun 🤩. Sometimes some products are open/damaged…

Why did they waste my time?

I contacted customer services to ask what i curls do about a new patio table which had been damaged by rain. I didn't think rain could damage glass, but that's B&M for you. I was asked to send photographs of the damage and a copy of my receipt. So I took several photos and uploaded them, only to get a response that the table top is not covered in the warranty. Why wasn't i told that in the first place, rather than wasting my time taking and sending photos. They hope I will still shop in B&M. For basics, maybe, but never again will I spend £300 on outdoor furniture that can't be put outdoors.

I use the Aylesbury branch that have…

I use the Aylesbury branch that have now relocated, it’s an even better place . I always find the staff very friendly and professional. Standout staff member is Paul , such a lovely kind man .
It’s clean , well organised and plenty of bargains to be had.

£20 offer for false accusations of shoplifting.

Just wanted to share b&ms reply after repeatedly being falsely being accused of shoplifting, at the checkouts in front of a store full of customers. You can clearly see from there reply how much the genuinely care about the upset they caused. NOT.

After such embarrassment would you be happy with an offer of a £20 gift card?

Small claims court process started.

Avoid BM in Hulme.

Our B&M store and security teams have a duty of care to all our customers and to our company, and this includes challenging people that they believe are potentially shop lifting. This is an extremely difficult task, and sadly we don’t always get it right, your partners case would be one of these instances.

On behalf of B&M please accept my sincere apologies for any embarrassment, inconvenience and upset caused. We would never want this for one of our valued customers.

We have spoken to the store managment team and they have advised that an apology was given at the time and believed the matter was resolved.

As per our previous discussions, again I apologise on behalf of B&M and a full investigation has been done. However we would not disclose the outcome of the investigation due to GDPR.

I am happy to send the previous gift cards offered of £20.00 (each) to resolve your complaint.

If you wish to accept this please complete the attached form.

I am sorry we would not look to increase this and hope this brings your complaint to a closed.

Great service all round

I purchased an incorrect item in store in error and on returning to the store to try and resolve the issue the member of staff kindly explained the returns policy to me in a very friendly manner. Due to the product being a non returnable item she was unable to assist me further at the time.

I later contacted customer services by email then a member of the team called me to discuss the matter and again it was explained that indeed the item could not be returned under their policy. It was my error but a gift card was very kindly offered as a gesture of gratefully accepted goodwill.

Great service all round

Came here for the first time in a while and wow what an improvement ! There must be new management taken over as you can really see a difference in the store as a whole ! Definitely worth the travel to this B&m in saffron Walden 😍😍
