I have been trying to reach them for the last several weeks and every email gets bounced back. I have an urgent family and business matter to discuss and can not get ahold of anyone.

I have been trying to contact them after signing up in February 2025. Lots of communications till two months ago then nothing and emails returned. I signed up for my 7 completed books. I am unable to contact as my emails are returned by the email postmaster. This has been a very sorry experience. I had thought they were going to be verry different. A phone call would help BUT!!! last effort also failed.

****I have at last heard from them and they have said contacting has been problematic. I know that one. Good follow up and Phone discussion seems to have cleared away their misunderstandings and my frustrating worries. It shows that all could be to be set for a much better forward motion as my new contact clearly knows what is needed and how to make this work... So, onward and upward with returning optimism.
Hopefully, now happier times ahead that will prove a far better journey with a constructive outcome due to a LISTENING and thinking personal intervention.

They helped me with my fantasy novel and had great suggestions for plot improvements, and I appreciated how easy it was to communicate.

Norah was my contact at Book Writing Lane and she made the publishing process stress-free. She was quick to answer my emails and very professional.

I worked with Book Writing Lane for my memoir, and he really listened to my story. The edits were spot on and the team delivered on time.

i thought that we had sorted things out they will not move forward unless I delete the negative part I first did . the positive I erased. I could not delete it as my phone does not have that option . they will not continue without my withdrawal so I I'm pulling my book off the shelf and suing them dropped all further communication no further contact I want my book pulled of the shelf. I'm also suing them. their editor's really suck. the 3 reps were terminated. I'm giving Sophia the benefit of the doubt as she is working very hard for the screwed up book. I'll have some possible amical result soon I have to re submit the whole book . I have been very busy.

I just won a writing scholarship to meet famous authors and work under them partially by telling my story of what happened with book writing lane. I’ll never be silenced, BWL likes to flag your truth and remove it but I will return everytime to prove this is a scam.

Ironically 3 (5) star reviews came in after my (1) star review that sing Trust Pilots praises so we know the reviews are scammed/fake. Don’t buy any of it.

I Was scammed by them, so were others, go look at Yelp. They don’t work in timely manner, they don’t have professional teams that do an accurate job. 6 months of waiting for something more than a lousy book cover that took them 3 minutes to design. They fired my point of contact, Sabrina, and left me hanging. Then they chase you for money, tell you money isn’t an issue, don’t return your texts…lie about being in business meetings, they can’t answer you properly about your book at all because they accept payment then don’t do the work. I dare them to challenge me on this in a response so I can edit this review and show the internet proof of our conversations. With phone numbers attached with names.

Just don’t do it, they barely speak English honestly how could they know to write an English book to begin, my bad. They sent a poorly edited draft back because they don’t know what they’re doing. everything is just smoke & mirrors. Just stay clear of book writing businesses like this that are clout based pretending to cut your price in half and excite you for the dream of being an author. Writing a book is hard work don’t trust these ppl to tell you it’s easy and cheap and they got you. Forget it. Go look at how many “five star” author reviews actually announcing book titles….they don’t because the reviews aren’t real.

Sophia williams so far is Great. I'm giving them another Chance. because of my forgiving attitude which stems I'm also an ordain minister.

scam company. they promised to publish my books as written, and butchered my books. I gave them 10k for a website that was never created, and 10K for videos which turned out like a grade 2 project. they always want phone calls because that I where they scam you. when they text it is mindless gibberish and make sure you check your receipts. they are never for what you actually paid for. I am suing Book Writing Lane for 60K USD

Here I am again. An entire year has passed since I was told I was going to get a refund yet, I haven’t received one penny. My calls and emails still go unanswered,

While working on income taxes, I have come to realize I have spent more outsourcing services they did not deliver than what they owe me.

At least out of pocket cost resulted in an eye-catching book cover, competent proofreading, and a captivating trailer.

If I hadn’t cut them loose, my book would

On August 29, 2024, i was called by BWL and told their company had taken my book to Netflix who wanted it for production. I received this email wiih a corresponding Non-Disclosure Contract:

As discussed, we have already selected the scriptwriter recommended by the Director, ensuring that your vision will be in capable hands. We are also in the process of adapting two books for film this year, and I am delighted to confirm that your book will be one of them.

We are eager to start working on this project and will keep you updated as we move forward. Your book’s adaptation to film is a remarkable achievement, and we are committed to making this process as smooth and successful as possible.

Once again, congratulations on this wonderful opportunity. We look forward to collaborating closely with you to bring your story to the big screen,

The contract needed my signature and $25,000.00,
Netflix was not mentioned. I had not requested, nor given permission for my book to be shared. Thus, my attorney advised if BWL had shared my work, they had broken the law. If they hadn't, BWL was lying.

Furthrrmore, had I paid a SINGLE DOLLAR to BWL, and they had provided me with a screenplay (which can be done with AI), I would have had no more than a $25,000.00 file on my laptop,

I declined and was pressured to sign for an additional 2 weeks.

September 2, 2025: NINE MONTHS ago, Book Writers Lane made a WRITTEN (via email) commitment to issue me a partial refund. I have yet to receive a penny! They have stopped communicating with me.

I have documentation to substantiate every word I have written.

On September 5, 2025, a representative from Book Writing Lane contacted me. On September 8, we sent the info needed via email. We were told it would take would take 7-10 days after management proceeded with the refund.

I have not received the refund or a response to my latest email.

WARNING!! DO NOT HIRE!
I hired this book editing and publishing company to create the cover design, edit and publish my manuscript. They created the cover design and barely assisted with the developmental aspect of editing. However, when it came to Line Editing, Proofreading, and Publishing, they were literally incompetent/remiss. My manuscript was utterly ruined. Sentences and entire paragraphs were amended to where they made no sense whatsoever, quotes and citations were sabotaged to the point where I had to spend an entire month and a half amending the vast majority of them. QR codes within are erroneous and/or go to the wrong address. I addressed the issue and my frustration with the project manager. He assured me he'd resolve the issues and provide me with a real Line Editor (line editing software was used, which ruined my manuscript; which they assured me they would not use prior to hiring them).
I was finally provided a real Line Editor, and we were beginning to make SLOW progress. I'd receive roughly 20 pages after waiting a month, e.g. The time increments kept increasing. But he assured me it would be published no later than the end of June 2025. However, the initial deadline date was the end of September 2024. So, the deadline passed, and I didn't hear anything from them or receive any material until threatening them with litigation if they don't return my calls or messages. Upon receiving the warning, about a week and half after the deadline date of June 2025, he finally returned my calls with excuses. He assured me I'd have more material to review within 24 hours. A week went by before he finally provided material, which was ruined just like before. I addressed the issue just to be ignored. I again gave him 24 hrs to respond or before proceeding with litigation. He ignored me for about a week and a half. Upon responding he claimed to be taking a leave of absence from the company and will have people contact me. I have yet to hear anything. Oh yeah, my Reference/Quotations/Citations section at the end was merely 20,000 words of copied and paragraphs of body texts with quotes.

My best expectations were exceeded when I viewed the final version of the e-book hyperlink taken from my hard copy book that was done expertly and professionally. My dealings with the staff was positive and friendly and I'd happily use them again the next tine I need an e-book created.

We published a book on Amazon and they have done a great job.

I needed three things for my book writing project - cover design, copy editing, and doing the nuts and bolts of uploading to Amazon. Bookwriting Lane does all of the above for a very reasonable price. For my second book with them, I had a couple of issues regarding what I paid for due I am sure to a change in my contact person. When I raised the issue, it got resolved fully on my behalf, promptly. Very impressive. The continuity of my primary contact person has been great - I am working with Solomon John who is efficient and effective in addressing all my needs, and has been a pleasure to work with. He checks in regularly to see how I am doing and to ensure that my writing project is moving along to a satisfactory conclusion. I am on my third book with them, and am about ready to start on a fourth book. I have a fifth book in the pipeline that I also hope to do with them - and who knows after that. Point is, this company and the personnel I am dealing with have exactly met my needs.

From beginning to end this process has been nothing less than amazing. It has really been a great privilege to work with this company and the experience team I had the pleasure of working with. Solomon and the team were very accommodating, kept an open line of communication, and very patient and understanding especially working with an old man like myself. In all of my 73 years of life I would have never imagined writing a book would be such a smooth and fulfilling process. This is just the first book of many and I would 100% recommend working with this company.

I’m very happy that the editing has been incredibly correct. The book , THE BUILD OUT BOOK is nearly complete and I’m looking forward to it being listed for sale. Hopefully my second book LEASE NEGOTIATION TACTICS Will be completed soon since both books are two consecutive steps to help tenants start their business efficiently.
