A £1000+ appliance that turns into e-waste in 3 years. Bosch hides behind receipts to avoid fixing their defective Series 8!
I am absolutely disgusted by Bosch UK's customer service. I have a premium Bosch Series 8 washing machine (Model: WAX28EH1GB/07, Serial No: 483030527638001664) that is barely 3 years old. It was given to me by a former partner with whom I am no longer in contact. The machine has now become a completely temperamental nightmare—randomly freezing mid-cycle, refusing to spin, and dragging programs on for hours.An official Bosch technician checked the internal diagnostic memory and found a string of major failure codes (including multiple 6007 and 0410 errors). The diagnosis? Both the motor and the main motherboard are failing. These are catastrophic failures on a flagship appliance that should easily last a decade.This model comes with a 5-year promotional warranty, and Bosch knows exactly when it was manufactured based on the unique serial number. Yet, their 'Resolution and Support Team' (Sam) flat out refused to honour the warranty simply because I do not have the physical purchase receipt, hiding behind corporate bureaucracy and claiming they 'need to verify if it was a clearance product'.Instead of taking accountability for a clearly defective motherboard and motor on a 3-year-old machine, they quoted me a staggering £600 for the repair—which is just a shameless way to force customers to buy a new machine. Bosch used to stand for quality, but now they just produce expensive electronics that fail prematurely and abandon everyday consumers over paperwork technicalities. Avoid Bosch Series 8 if you expect reliability or fair customer support.
