Extremely Dissatisfied with Product and Customer Service
I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience with BPM Supplies. My partner and I were in the process of renovating our house and decided to purchase Stone Grey SPC Flooring from BPM Supplies for a total of 50 square meters. We were excited about this flooring after seeing the sample and the images on their website. However, our excitement turned into frustration and disappointment.
Upon laying the flooring, we were shocked to find extreme colour and shade variances among the boards. The actual product looked nothing like the sample we received or what was showcased on the website. This was a complete mismatch and not at all what we had expected. We immediately contacted BPM Supplies and attached photos of the problem for their review.
The customer service experience started with a glimmer of hope, as we received a response from David at BPM Supplies. However, that glimmer quickly faded as we went back and forth with David via email. Despite providing clear evidence of the issue, it seemed that BPM Supplies was more interested in passing the blame than finding a solution. The supplier's claim that the extreme colour variations were part of the design was baffling and certainly not what we had signed up for.
Our disappointment was further exacerbated when the proposed solution was to swap out only the darker boards, leaving us with a flooring that still did not match our expectations. We pushed for a proper resolution, as we had contractors on site and could not afford further delays. After several rounds of emails and phone calls, we were told that the manager was on holiday and could not address the issue until Monday.
The back-and-forth communication continued, with David at BPM Supplies seemingly reluctant to acknowledge the severity of the problem. Eventually, we decided to sort the boards ourselves and requested a full replacement of the order with boards that matched the intended purchase. Even after this request, we were met with resistance, and it took multiple emails and three trips to their premises in Portlaoise to finally arrange for the replacement.
The whole ordeal left a sour taste in our mouths. The lack of urgency, accountability, and proper customer service demonstrated by BPM Supplies was truly disappointing. As a result, our renovation project faced unnecessary delays, and we were left feeling frustrated and unheard.
During my last visit to Portlaoise to collect the remaining floorboards, the owner of the business confronted us. Unfortunately, rather than focusing on fulfilling the resolution as we had previously agreed, he seemed more interested in exacerbating the situation. It appeared he was reluctant to acknowledge the discrepancy between the product I purchased and the product I received. Instead, his primary concern seemed to be centered around potential financial losses stemming from this situation.
I strongly caution anyone considering BPM Supplies for their flooring needs to think twice. Our experience highlights the importance of not only the quality of the product but also the responsiveness and willingness of the company to stand behind their promises. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend BPM Supplies and would advise others to explore alternative options.
