Glitchy ordering and don't bank on a timely delivery!!
I struggled to order sheet materials online as the glitchy checkout system first of all insisted that my delivery address was different from my basket address - it wasn't. Then it refused to record my shipping address correctly on my order. One of my two stars goes to the Online Chat lady who ended up adding a note to my order to ensure the delivery came to the correct address, not a similar address up the road.
I ordered on Tuesday 20/8/24, with a quoted delivery of 2-3 days. I therefore expected delivery by Friday 23/8/24 afternoon latest, and booked labour accordingly. Friday afternoon I received an email saying that because of the following Bank Holiday Monday on 26/8/24, my order wouldn't be delivered until Wednesday 28/8/24. I mean, really? You quote 2-3 working days but actually manage considerably worse. That's pretty hopeless in terms of delivering a decent, timely service to the customer, and a huge frustration to me in having to cancel labour - at a cost to me - and annoying delay getting an urgent job done in a decent timescale.
The second star is for the delivery driver who was absolutely excellent and very helpful.

Pulling past others
Easy to order via the net, and very good prices, pick up was just as easy.
There's a lot of competition from other builder merchants ,but Bradfords is pulling past them all with good prices

I have been waiting over a week for the…
I have been waiting over a week for the second part of my delivery! It finally got to store yesterday and should have been here first thing this morning! 11 am still no sign of it had I known it was going to take over a week to arrive I would have not ordered from Bradfords in the first place. Customer service here is appalling!

Delayed delivery was disappointing
Actual shopping experience was fine. But delivery, delayed by a day but not advised of this until 3.00 in the afternoon when I had waited in all day was not good.

Ordered sand and cement online. Both products were priced competitively and the same as we had used before so good consistency. Checked delivery with the local branch and they confirmed the delivery was scheduled as indicated online. All delivered on time in good condition with no fuss.

Great company to deal with.
Ordering online was super easy & confirmation for my requirements were received by return.
Delivery was made well within the stated times & the driver was really helpful and placed the bags exactly where specified.

Times advertised differed across…
Times advertised differed across websites regarding Saturday opening times. Had to wait 30 minutes for yard to open. Nearly gate up the wait as i had other things to do.

Erratic delivery approach
Confirmed delivery for Monday 24th June failed to happen without communication.
When chased i wss informed Thursday 27th, which was unacceptable to me.
Now scheduled morning 26th June - fingers crossed.
UPDATE - after an assertive phone call to Bradfords, they managed to deliver today (wednesday) to keep my project on track.

Easy ordering online. And great coms with branch when arranging delivery. Had to cancel original delivery branch were great and instantly arranged another delivery date that fitted in with both parties

Bradfords failed to deliver on time
Bradfords failed to deliver on time. I ordered a supply of wood on 2 May and am still waiting on 11 for it to be delivered. I have always used Bradfords because I thought their service was good, but I have been badly let down this time. I have been told that the earliest they can get it to me is 13 May - this is very disappointing. I do note that the money was taken from my account on 2 May, so they are very efficient in getting their money when I have not got my goods.
