It's a good tool to keep track of…
It's a good tool to keep track of infringements, and discover ones I wasn't aware of.
However, they flag a lot of unrelated content or empty pages that just mention keywords to get traffic. Which means I prefer to review all the infringements manually instead of allowing it to be automated.
It's already hard enough as it is to get content removed, because there are so many bullshit DMCA reports, websites can barely manage them, they automate the process, and unfortunately sending DMCA with automation will contribute to that phenomenon.
So if you send inaccurate DMCA reports, it's not gonna help you, the bots aren't gonna remove it, which is why I need to review before they send to make sure it's accurate. And also to make sure I don't send a DMCA for content that is not mine, for obvious reasons.
I also noticed that in some cases, the DMCA reports they send don't mention the correct URLs as my original content: they will send another one of my websites instead of the actual URL on which I posted my original content.
And finally, I noticed in lots of cases, which certain websites, they don't offer the option to remove the infringing content at the source, but only delist from Google. However delisting from Google is the easy part. I need help with the hard part, which is removing at the source, and I know it is possible with those specific websites because I've done it on my own and continue to do so. It's a lot of work, but that's why I'm willing to pay for it.
All in all, I don't think I'll renew my subscription, I'm gonna get a more expensive option next year so I'll be able to compare.

They'll take it off google, not much else
It will make the thieving websites not appear on google searches.
But if the thieving websites blatantly disregard DCMA requests, then there's not really anything Brandit can do to make them comply with the law. Those sites with those stolen recordings are still going to be up.
What Brandit can do is make it so the DCMA violations aren't the top links when people search your brand. That's what they promise anyway. They've gotten a lot of them off google, but I have seen leaks as the second results on other search engines long after they were removed on google. I've had fans tell me they found recordings of me when they searched my brand, and when I go to submit them to brandit there already was a processed take down request.
It's better than nothing, but it's not nearly as comprehensive as I expected based on the advertising.

Ive been using BranditScan since the beginning and immediately I was impressed by how many results they found. Since then the service has evolved in really practical ways that made monitoring piracy even easier. Especially for someone like me who was often devastated by finding stolen links. Now its practically all automatic! They understand too, that advertising and promotion is a big part of what creators do, and so their AI tools are trained to identify that! I also love that variety of usernames they allow you to add to the scanner. The team at BranditScan is really passionate about their mission too, and respect the work it takes to be a content creator with a pay wall platform in 2025. 👏 👌 🙌 which we love to see!!
