Terrible customer service. I sent a detailed plan for what I want to do in my yard in my request to them. They had me wait for 2 weeks before they eventually replied and yet still asked questions that were already in my proposal. They clearly didn't read, super unprofessional and seems like a waste of time.

Brasa built a beautiful pergola for my patio, and I’m genuinely impressed by their professionalism. The installers were kind, respectful, and explained every step of the process. A few weeks after completion, I noticed minor dripping after strong rain. I called them, and they promptly came back to make adjustments. Everything has been perfect ever since. My outdoor space feels completely transformed.

I hired this team for a major patio enclosure project, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Everything was completed exactly as promised, even earlier than the scheduled date. The acrylic panels they used still look brand new after months of rain and sun. Their pricing was fair, communication smooth, and the craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. I’ll absolutely use them again for my next home project.

I wish I could write a happy review, but dealing with Brasa Building has unfortunately turned into our worst nightmare. We strongly advise everyone to avoid using them, especially for anything related to plumbing, as they have demonstrated no discernible experience or expertise in this area.

In addition to poor finishing, missing heating components, and a tap installed on the wrong side, our brand new bathroom now has a severe leak running from the upstairs toilet down to the unit below.

When addressing these problems, Brasa team consistently tries to push responsibility onto others. The clear bottom line is that they lack any fundamental knowledge of plumbing. While they may 'try' to hire third parties to fix their errors, there is not a single person on their team who understands how to manage or resolve an emergency plumbing situation.

Do not trust them with your toilet, your kitchen, or any project involving piping and water infrastructure. It's a trap.

BrasaBuilding replied to my previous review stating that we owe money for materials and labour. From our perspective, this is not accurate.
We had a contract in place which, in our view, was not fulfilled as agreed. At the time work stopped, approximately 55% of the total contract value had already been paid, despite none of the toilets being completed.
Unfortunately, the condition in which the work was left raised serious concerns for us. We were left with a toilet pipe exposed from the wall, visible cracks between the floor and wall joints, and a toilet that was not securely fitted. We have photographs documenting these issues.
We also have proof of payment. The payments were made to an account in Belgium under the name of a person associated with the company.
I understand that every situation has two sides. This review reflects our direct experience.
Update
After our experience, I looked more closely at the company’s online presence. I personally noticed that many of the 5-star reviewers appeared to be based outside Ireland. This raised concerns for me, although I cannot independently verify the background of those accounts.
I also observed that the company’s Instagram account has changed its name multiple times. Again, this is simply something I noticed while researching further.
Overall, our experience was negative and stressful. Based on the unfinished work and the issues encountered, I would not personally use this company again or recommend it.

Avoid brasa at all cost
Worst kind of people, don’t know what they are doing and not trustable people!
Take your money and after that they become a ghost!
Everything done in my house was wrong and poor quality!

Avoid Brasa Building — extremely poor service and professionalism.
My experience with Brasa Building was nothing short of disastrous. The contractor repeatedly failed to show up as agreed, disappearing for days at a time without any communication or explanation. Work was left incomplete, debris and materials were abandoned on site, and basic standards of cleanliness and safety were completely ignored.
The quality of the workmanship that was completed was subpar and lacked attention to detail. Despite repeated follow-ups, there was no accountability, no ownership of mistakes, and no sense of customer care. The entire experience caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and I ultimately had to bring in another professional to correct the unfinished and poorly executed work.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Brasa Building to think twice. Reliability, transparency, and professionalism were entirely absent from this service.

Horrible company and person to deal with.

George Lucas has zero knowledge about construction. We hired his company for a big house renovation, and every part of the house that he touched has problems. The only work that was done well was done by one of his builders (Adrian), who stopped working for him throughout the process.

George does everything badly, he delays all the projects, he doesn't buy the material on time, so his workers are stuck with nothing to do and that causes delays in everything.

We accepted to extend the deadline a few times and he still delivered a horrible job. We had to hire someone to fix everything that he did and rearrange a lot of suppliers due to his delays, causing us to pay extra costs to fix and fees to reeschedule.

He caused us a lot of stress, and whatever you complain to him or question about his previous complaints, he will always blame the customer (for example saying that we pushed him to finish, when we actually accepted to extend the deadline and he still delivered everything badly).

Do not consider hiring him; he should not work on this business as he has no clue what he is doing.

Believe me, he's lucky to get one star. Amateur workmanship along with terrible customer service.

Hired him for tiling and to install a shower cubicle. The doors from shower cube are already failing only after a couple of months. Failed to seal around cubicle correctly leaving it exposed. Needed to reach out to him to resolve this issue.

After he installed our tiles he claimed he couldn't fix the radiators back onto the wall resulting in us hiring another tradesman to correct.

Similar story with the bathroom door. Didn't reattach before leaving. Left the door a number of scratches.

Bathroom taps began to leak due to incorrect installation although he sent a colleague out to fix.

Don't know how this guy sleeps at night. Has me blocked on socials now for comments regarding his work.

Avoid at all costs.

Edited in response to your reply. The tiles and shower cubes were the only materials we purchased. At no point prior to the work commencing did you say the materials were of poor quality. You should have highlighted this at the beginning. All other materials and fixings were bought on your recommendation which you purchased and we reimbursed you later. I stand by my original review. AVOID!!! This guy spends most of his time posting instagram videos than doing any work. Poor Poor Poor

Update to last response. You can dress it up anyway you want George. It doesn't escape the fact that it was a poor finish. A bad tradesman always blames his tools. This is especially true in this case. And in response to your recommended budget, we paid you what you quoted us, so dont use that as excuse. You shouldn't have taken the job if you were not qualified, which I now believe you weren't. Bunch of amateurs

We contracted Brasa Building at the start of 2025.

Within 3 months of them 'completing the build': beams fell down on us, we're stuck with permanent efflorescence due to poor planning on Brasa Building's side, dozens of nails protruding 1+ cm inside & outside and paint peeling.

Their contract states they'd fix any issues with the build within 1 year, but they've ghosted us with no means of contacting them.

They're not registered as a legitimate business (fake tax ID on the contract), they're not registered with the construction federation and they don't have an official address.

This company is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. A few weeks after they 'completed' the pergola, many many many issues arose. When we notified them, they ghosted and blocked us. I opened a small claims court case and then finally they got back to us (so I withdrew my case) and arranged a fix.

The guy who 'fixed' the carpentry, had no background working with wood at all but used to work in maintenance. This guys did the works while George Lucas, the owner & sole trader whom I have a contract with, wasn't even present. After completing these remedial works, wood has bent again because someone who's not a carpenter, has no clue how to work the wood.

In recent weeks the roof of this pergola also started leaking. When the weather was clear on a day I wasn't at work I spotted the wooden (!) beam holding a lot of water under the polyethylene sheet. To me it looks like the caps weren't sealed, leading to water ingress.

I notified George Lucas of this issue on the Whatsapp. He visualized the message and didn't reply. When I followed up a few days later, I noticed I'm blocked (only 1 tick appearing instead of 2).

No matter how dissatisfied clients are, George, you have a duty of care towards them and you entered into a legally binding contract with them, which you have to uphold.

Anyway, all of this to say that:
1) they're unreliable (still after remedies)
2) they're unprofessional and work with random workers (and subcontractors even when this is not per contract)
3) they ghost you at the slightest inconvenience and it takes taking them to court for a serious reply
4) they don't follow Irish law. It took me quoting law to finally be issued a proper contract including business address

I do not recommend this company. Avoid at any cost.
