Purchased a pair of Magnum Ultima Black Patrol Uniform combat work boots in November 2023(For Xmas) for my son who is a police officer. We has worn them for work for 10 months and the sole has come off.
When I raised this with Britannia was told they don't give the Magnum 12 month guarantee you get if you go direct to Magnum and they would have to contact Magnum and see what they said.
After a few weeks I was told that nothing could be done as the damage was fair wear and tear.
Boots designed for work costing £120+ not designed to last by their own admission more than 10 months.
Wont be buying Magnum again, high price, low quality.

Hi Nick - really sorry to have not been able to give the answer you wanted. Magnum do give a 12 month guarantee direct, but charge a lot more than we do. Also they were the ones who rejected the claim as the boots weren't considered to have had fair wear and tear - you wouldn't drive a car into a lamp-post and then ask the dealer to reimburse you.
I purchased a pair of golf shoes from this company and on the purchase side of things found them to be really simple to use with a fast and efficient check-out and delivery of the item bought. They were very competitively priced and delivered with free postage.
The shoes were exactly as described and fitted perfectly. I was really very happy with them.
However due to what I can only assume was a manufacturing fault (It was not a Brit-Safe own product) i have today had to contact the company and ask for a replacement / refund which I did in writing via email.
The company got straight back in touch, having contacted the supplier and has issued a refund straight away.
Superb service. It is only when you have a problem you know how good a company is. Well done folks.

Hi - pleased we could resolve the problem so quickly - we always deal with reputable manufacturers and ensure they honour warranty terms so long as the items are not abused - this was obviously the case and so would try to resolve it.
