Items were shipped super fast and, as I sadly had to return, refunded super quickly as well.

The pyjamas were good quality but I'll be honest I expected for a £100+ pair of pyjamas the packaging would be nicer than a plastic bag inside a plain grey poly bag envelope. The label wasn't even on straight. Only a small thing but these were a treat for me and I spent ages choosing out of all the luxury pyjamas by independent brands on the Internet so to receive a package that may as well have come from ASOS was a bit disappointing.

This is the first reply, on Trust Pilot, I have received from you regarding my complaint, despite me contacting you several times, via your website. It was only after contacting you on Facebook, because of your failure to reply, that I received a very aggressive one line reply saying Check Your Spam. I did check my spam as you suggested and informed you it was not there. I also asked you to confirm the e mail address you supposedly sent your reply to, which you have failed to do. I certainly didn’t hound you on Facebook and I take exception to being accused of doing so and if you believe this to be the case, please include on Trust Pilot these messages of me hounding you, together with the e mail messages you claim you sent to me, which I didn't receive. Is it any wonder I have had to resort to using capital letters.

Yes. You are quite right, I have had this dressing gown for nearly three years. I look after my clothes and as I explained to you, I keep this as my best dressing gown I only use when going away. It isn’t used on a daily basis and this is why I am so surprised of the wear. It is also a lightweight dressing gown and therefore for most of the year not warm enough to wear. I am not in the habit of lying and your suggestion that it smacks of heavy wear and tear is simply not true and I am extremely disappointed you are suggesting this. I have offered to send you photographs of the wearing fabric and the wearing pattern, but you haven’t taken me up on that. Had I had good use out of it for the last three years, I still wouldn’t have expected this to occur. I have had a dressing gown from Marks and Spencers for over 20 years that I have worn constantly and there are no signs of wear and tear. No matter how you try to project your response to this complaint, you have not carried it out with any professionalism at all.

Let us also be clear on this. As for requesting a refund for more than I paid for the dressing gown, once again this is not true. I referred only to the order number, no amount was ever mentioned. Yes there was a discount on this item, but it was one you were offering on your website to everyone at the time.

As for threatening one star replies, I gave you a one star reply, not threatened, because of your failure to respond and may I suggest you look closer at the number one and two star replies already on your website.

How dare you tell me you will hear more from me on this Deb Price. What a way to speak to a customer. It is you who are being aggressive not me. Your customer service is not exemplary. Had it been we wouldn’t be here now. You are a rude and unprofessional woman and I only wish I had read the reviews on your website before placing my order. Can I suggest you take off your rose tinted glasses regarding your company and handle these complaints less personally.

Be assured I am not backing down. I am still requesting a refund for the amount I paid for the dressing gown. No more, no less and I will reiterate, I can send you photographs, I am also prepared to sent the dressing gown back to you so you will clearly see the excellent condition it has been kept in.

Since placing this review and contacting the company on Facebook I received a stern reply saying them had replied to me 10 minutes after my complaining to check my spam. THEY HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME, this is not true.

I have complained a number of times through your website about a the quality of a dressing gown I purchased and had little use from, which is wearing and going threadbare. You have neither replied or acknowledged my complaint. Can you please give me a telephone number to contact you, which at present seems of concern is unavailable. I am very disappointed at your lack of customer care. The high price of your garments does not reflect the quality and your lack of acknowledging my complaints is very unacceptable.

I ordered a SMALL size cotton dressing gown (apparently the one worn in Saltburn) which was so huge it came all the way down to my ankles and sleeves came to beyond my fingertips and extremely baggy elsewhere around shoulder (I have decent sized shoulders and they were about 2" off each shoulder), chest etc. I'm 167cm (5'6") so sometimes I get that even small sizes can be a touch long for me, but this was a joke.

Same thing with the SMALL pyjama trousers. They came all the way past my toes and I would have to fold 4". Strange thing is that the waist did fit me perfectly (I'm normally somewhere between 29"-31" sizes) but very baggy across - elephant thighs and calves. I'd like to see anyone who is proportioned like that!

Based on those 2 pieces, I feel the company has no clue about scaling clothing proportions. If you so happen to be luckily in the sizes they've started their designs for then probably good for you, for the rest of us, look for a company that actually respects us smaller people enough to make clothing for us.

Quality wise it seemed ok, but didn't feel any better than a good quality piece from high street (in fact, not as good as my favourite high street pyjama bottoms that I've had for maybe 8+ years no).

Ordering and returns were fine. But as is standard these days, constant promotional emails without much to say.

After some confusion with the sizing … CS responded in a timely manner and sent out new sizes .

UPDATE: I can't fault British Boxer for their integrity. Within a few hours of posting my review, I received a detailed explanation from Deb about their policy on returns, and although I could only partially agree with their response, I have added three more stars for their professionalism and customer service.

Be sure you want their goods before purchasing, as you have to pay for returns. I ordered two dressing gowns for my wife, which cost £90 each. Sadly, my wife did not like the material, and it creases easily. I should have read their returns policy beforehand, so it was my fault, but I am still peeved it cost almost £20 to return the unwanted goods, so beware of this before you place an order online.

Just received my order of 3 dressing gowns and 2 nightdresses. Paid £450 after a discount was applied so was surprised to see them arrive bundled up in a John Lewis plastic bag. They look like nice quality items but I feel the packaging has really spoilt the luxury feel that I was expecting with the brand. That being said I’m keeping the items as it’s really difficult to find nice dressing gowns that are not big and fluffy.

This company does not have a customer care phone number. I have purchased some items from this company in the past, but alas when my wife wants to order some night ware and enquire of the sizes, there is no phone number. You send a message but no one replies. Other clothes companies manage this, they do not, their loss not mine. She has gone to another manufacturer who has a phone number.

I will change the review if you reply to my wife's query. It was from Mrs Ursula Bradley and referred to pyjama bottoms sizes in cm's. She sent it 1.5 days ago. Its a pity that one gets a reaction to a query only by going onto trustpilot.
My wife writes - the clothes are of excellent quality and well made. In addition, they are manufactured in uk or Europe. I had some difficulty in establishing my size because the guide did not give specific measurements. However, subsequent contact with the 'small' team was very helpful and I am looking forward to receiving my purchase.

Customer service is very important to me and British Boxers have been outstanding. Reading my emails and answering all my questions left me satisfied to make a purchase.
I bought Trunks, Briefs, Socks and T Shirt.
Tested, worn and washed i love the trunks the best. Comfortable and well made. T Shirt was cool and soft and the briefs, i love them colours.
Although i love the socks, i found the zig zag pattered sock very hard to get on my size 11 foot. The other 2 pairs fitted and are comfortable.
Supporting local business made easy with quality goods and great customer service. Will be buying more. thanks

I first order from British Boxers a few years ago after coming across them on social media. Since then I've bought underwear exclusively from them. The quality of their items is excellent and great value for money. I had an issue for the first time with my most recent order, and it was dealt with quickly and, frankly, more generously than I would have expected. To my mind that is the mark of an outstanding company, and I'd absolutely recommend them to others.

Lots of great quality items bought from British Boxers over the past few years, including face masks, 3 sets of PJ bottoms, 2 sets of kids PJs, a couple of hoodies, a t-shirt & polo shirt, socks & at least 6 packs of 4 mens Stretch Trunks (boxer shorts). Always prompt delivery & updates along the way, with items beautifully wrapped without using excess wasteful packaging.

Warm & insightful newsletter blogs from the Director (Debs) with good communication from a member of the team when a T Shirt I ordered went out of stock. Good sales & promotions & the only quality issues I've experienced is a couple of buttons falling off one pair of PJ bottoms & some of the stretch trunks have faded in a patchy way after a while, but others have lasted brilliantly along with all the other items, so it's a small minus.

Great to support a small company who make products in the UK & Europe instead of thousands of miles away. Thank you!

Check the size guide because it turns out I'd been wearing the wrong size for years!

We have bought a pair of mens PJ's which are lovely on the whole, for the money we would have expected pockets in the trousers and a spare button though, also have a mens dressing gown which is very cosy. The only thing we have been properly disappointed with is the mens trunks, the waist is huge, where the waistband joins at the back stretched really badly and really quickly and the colours have faded in a dreadful patchy way, particularly the orange ones.

I bought one of British Boxer's products in December, and in early February, after very light use, a button came off - so I contacted BB, and had no response, so I tried again, and had no reply.
The button should not have come off after several uses - and the non-existent customer support means that my next purchase will not be with BB, sadly...

I have had contact from BB offering to replace the item, which I am very impressed with, and have amended the rating accordingly - If the replacement lasts a reasonable time, I will uprate again!

A few weeks ago, I tried accessing the BB website, with a view to purchasing some items I may have been interested in.
I noticed that I could not see any images, so I tried a different browser, with the same effect.
This meant I had tried two of the top three browsers in use, and could not see any product photographs, even if I went to the item page, rather than a higher level.
I contacted BB, and was told no-one else had reported it.
I did reply, and from memory, had no response.
I have just reinstalled my OS, and thought I would try again, in case it was a quirk of the system, and got the same response, so it would not appear to be my system, but an issue with the website, that is preventing - and possibly deterring me from using BB.
As a result, my experience has changed again to negative.

Lovely dressing gown, just wish it was a bit warmer/heavier. Another review I’ve seen somewhere online said it was covered in loose threads. Mine was too but not to the detriment of the product - natural stuff often is and there were no pulls etc. in the fabric. Lovely long length and belt and pockets where they should be! Also the inside ties are in the same fabric, rather than those slippery polyester things you get with cheap gowns. Might treat myself to some of their knickers - bet they’re fab :)

Ordered a brushed cotton (stornaway) women's dressing gown. Just taken delivery (which was very fast) and the product is absolutely beautiful. Thanks to Debs at British Boxers for helping me with sizing and also for getting my order out to me so quickly and with DPD! What's not to like? I'm very happy and will be ordering again!

I bought 2 x pairs of PJ shorts & the lovely Debs text me directly to say that 1. Their sale started the day after I placed the order & that they’d refund me the difference. 2. One pair was OOS so I chose another pair, which was no problem as they’re all lovely. Debs was super, efficient & I’ve never received such personal customer service ever! I purchased a pair of Pyjama shorts for my wife. After a few months they started to fray at a seem. I reported this to customer service who with 4 hours had responded, apologised and sent out a new pair (which arrived within 3 days). I'd say you can't beat that these days
