BT Local Business (Plymouth) called us yet again today, despite me asking them via email on 20/10/2025 to remove our number from their database. We have had our most recent contract with BT Business Direct as we were previously mi-sold a previous contract from BT Local Business. I haven't renewed my contract with BT Business Direct yet as we are will need to upgrade our phone line to full fibre and this needs co-ordinating with our security alarm provider. My genuine BT Business Direct account manager knows this as I've discussed it with him with no pressure to renew until I've sorted it.
BT Local Business are a separate independent company as noted on the bottom of their emails

This company denied having received my email, and ring almost weekly, and today have claimed that if my contact details are removed from their database that if I have any faults with my line It won't be dealt with as I will have been removed from their system! I don't have an account with them, it's with BT directly.
These people are miss-selling under the BT name and frankly BT should remove the license from them.

Mis-selling by BT Local Business. Called me near to my end of contract. I said I didn't want to pay any more than I was currently and was assured that a 'special deal' was available which would be very close to what I'm paying. On receiving the contract, realised that the figure quoted was excluding VAT so would obviously bring the cost much higher.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would.
They don’t deserve any!

Over three months after placing an order, we were still no further forward. Their sales tactics are aggressive, and they’re happy to provide misleading information just to close a deal. Once you’ve signed the contract, any sense of customer care disappears completely.

Thankfully, we’ve now managed to arrange a new contract with BT Business Direct instead.

Do not deal with this incompetent company — I wish I hadn’t.

This company is NOT BT, they will sell you the wrong package, and you will not be able to conact them about this... Have been reported for bad practice.... If you want a BT account, go to BT.... THIS IS NOT BT!

A menagerie of negligent, compulsive liars. Tried to force so called 'lease lines' down our throat for £600p/m and when we refused, our service diminished considerably. Coincidence? Who knows. Our main landline number for our business was removed and we haven't had inbound calls for 4 weeks!! THESE JESTERS AREN'T EVEN BT, DO NOT FALL FOR THE TRAP.

Honestly the worst business I’ve ever dealt with.
Not only did they mislead me into signing up 5 months ago, they couldn’t even install the telephone line correctly. We are a veterinary hospital caring for beloved animals, and this company has failed us at every stage. Our phone services have gone down over 10 times in just 5 months, never had issues before this is all due to their failures. They constantly put the phone down on you and promise call-backs that never happen. Their negligence has cost me thousands of pounds and severely damaged my business and reputation.

STAY AWAY IF YOU KNOW WHATS BEAT FOR YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS it’s simply not worth the risk.

They have called me 2-3 times a week for the last 3 years and each time I have asked to never call me again but they keep calling.

Management terrible spoke to one today who was as much use as a washing machine on a nudist camp.

Terrible customer service, you can call them 5 times and 5 people will all tell you something different and still no sort out your issue.

Unfortunately i had to call at the local office based in Harlow today as this company masquerading as BT ( they mearly sell you the contracts Jay-Bee Telecom is the actual company and only have the logos etc under licence ) fails to respond to emails. The nature of those emails relates to a service promised that we never received or haven’t had in 13 years and my wife was pressured into digitally signing something in a rush for something that didnt work. We was told it was being investigated some 8 weeks ago - then all lines of communication fell silent relating to a contract signed for back in October. Next stop it seems is the small claims court for JB - and a serious complaint made to BT themselves. Hopefully the managing director will read this and instruct his operations manager to respond to emails, which by the way is how professional companies work although i wont hold my breath waiting. Avoid .

THIS IS NOT BT!!!! Be very aware, this company is just another phone provider and not BT. They are a BT franchise. They are totally dishonest and will make out they are BT, they are not, they are JTalk Ltd. We have too many issues trying to sort out a phone system, we were Duped to believe we were dealing directly with BT, even when there are issues to be resolved and things felt wrong, the company will still be silent to the fact that they ARE NOT BT. Do not make the same mistake as I did and do not be Duped by this company. They are NOT BT.

Absolutely appalling business internet hub not working since Tuesday and can’t take payments for cafe or use delivery apps and business phone as everything is connected via wifi .
On calling Tuesday morning poor unhelpful customer assistance . Promised next day delivery of hub but not delivered .
The assistant didn’t even bother to put my phone line via my mobile so I could receive calls.. But she wasn’t interested and was disengaged throughout the call so wasn’t surprised . Not happy with Bt and poor communication .

I would give 0 stars if that was an option - the most dispicable company to deal with. On going issues with huge bills and no response to help

BT business are the worst company in the world. We have had a phone line and number for our business for 7 years and at 1pm on a Tuesday the phone line went dead without our knowledge, we cannot receive calls or make them. I have been on the phone for 2 days and no one can tell me why our line has been put out of service and no one at BT Business knows how to get it reconnected. We are losing business. Promised calls back from BT and they do not contact you. Had problems with them every time I have had to renew my contracts. from over charging to charging me for other lines. I am on day 3 and our phone is still not working for calls in or out. I am going to keep people updated to see how long it takes BT Business to get our 01202 433179 number back up and running.

Absolute joke of a company Oxford and buckinghamshire BT local business. Had a lady named Ellie who called me as I’ve apparently been searching for business broadband, not to mention the business name she gave me I have left several years ago. Don’t know where these guys get their information from but they are absolutely clueless and just looking to sell you something you really don’t need

I will never use this company again. We had their Onephone system which has now ceased to be supported. We therefore cancelled the contract and went to another provider, having obtained a settlement figure. I requested their final invoice for the settlement but they have continued to take regular monthly d/d infinitum. No one will cancel the agreement so I have now deleted the direct debit payment. They are now chasing continually. Its amazing how you can't get any type of response yet they continue to pursue you.

BT East London is not in fact BT. It appears to be a private company contracted to BT. They are atrocious. They are all over you when you want a service but when you need to cancel they just ignore you. Unfortunately BT will not deal with complaints but simply put you back through to this useless company who do not respond. A total shower of uselessmess.

The standard of service from Local business London west is nothing more than totally atrocious ! None of the supposed "Account Managers" or their director reply to emails or phone calls! Our saga has been going on for over a year & still they are not interested. They mislead customers into buying products they either dont need or are not suitable for the customer & after that their aftercare is NON EXISTENT ! if I could find stronger words, believe me I would. I have had to escalate this to the Chair of BT.
We are about to issue court proceedings for the £34k+ they have admitted to owing for mis sale of products & incorrect billing ( we have the credit note, but 2 months after recieving it & numerous emails & phone calls we still have not recieved the refund).
If you are ever directed to BT Local Business London West, DONT USE THEM

Bt local business Cold Called my business to tell me i can upgrade my broadband lines at our offices, after requesting a price for a dedicated Ethernet line not FTTP they sent me through a price that worked out to be £13,032 per year for a 100Mbit line which is only 25Mbits faster than our current line and we only pay £444 per year, they are 29 times more expensive

Absolute scammers! Do not use this business! Overcharged by hundreds over pounds and didn't deliver services that were promised in signed contracts. Endless efforts to contact via phone and email with rude rebuffs or just no response. Terrible customer service. We are more than a year on and still no closer to getting the issues resolved or getting my money refunded.
