I strongly advise people to be extremely careful before using Resume Leader.

I originally signed up only for a trial and paid around JPY 300. I did not knowingly intend to sign up for an ongoing monthly membership costing JPY 8,499.

However, I later discovered that I had been charged JPY 8,499 per month for THREE consecutive months — a total of JPY 25,497. I did not receive any clear reminder before these monthly charges were taken, and I was completely unaware that I was paying such an expensive recurring subscription.

In my experience, this kind of trial-to-subscription practice feels extremely deceptive. A low-cost trial should not result in customers unexpectedly discovering months later that they have been charged thousands of yen every month.

I am requesting a FULL REFUND of all three monthly membership charges:

JPY 8,499 × 3 = JPY 25,497

I initially paid €1 for a 7-day trial of ResumeLeader. To my surprise, I later discovered that I had been charged twice, €39.99 each, for a subscription I never intended to purchase.

When I contacted customer support, I was told that the recurring subscription is disclosed in very small print during checkout. That is completely unacceptable and feels misleading.

To request a refund, I was repeatedly asked to provide information to verify my account. I fully cooperated and submitted everything requested, including my email address, bank statements showing both charges, and the last digits of the card used for payment.

One support agent, Summer, was able to locate my account immediately, cancel the subscription, and even offered me two years of free access as an alternative to a refund. I declined because I have no interest in using a service that charged me unexpectedly—I simply requested a refund.

From that point onward, my case was handed over to Tom, and the experience became incredibly frustrating. It was obvious that Tom had not read a single previous email in the conversation. Instead of reviewing the information that had already been provided multiple times, he repeatedly sent me the exact same template email asking for the same details over and over again. I received at least 10 identical responses, despite having already supplied every piece of information requested.

Tom made no effort whatsoever to investigate my case, acknowledge the previous correspondence, or offer any meaningful assistance. Rather than providing customer support, he simply copied and pasted the same response repeatedly, wasting my time and showing a complete lack of professionalism and respect.

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Instead of resolving a straightforward issue, I was met with repetitive, unhelpful responses and excuses. Refusing to refund unauthorized or unexpected charges while hiding behind a policy that "website payments cannot be refunded" is not acceptable.

I am extremely disappointed with the way this matter has been handled. I will never use ResumeLeader again, and I certainly cannot recommend this service to anyone based on my experience.

I am requesting an immediate refund of the two unauthorized charges of €39.99 each, for a total of €79.98.

I am from India and they auto renewed my subscription without my consent, charged heavily on my credit card. They are scammers so be aware.

Scammer. I found their charges on my credit card, but I have never signed up for this service. We know that because I'm retired and I have not looked for a job since 2008.

This company is a total scam. I paid for a single resume service, and without clearly informing me, they activated a recurring subscription. When I contacted customer support and provided all the payment details, they suddenly claimed they could not find my account. They then directed me to a cancellation process that simply does not exist.

The whole experience felt deliberately misleading and extremely unprofessional. It is shameful that websites operating like this are still allowed to continue. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

This Company is Horrible they take your money You cannot speak with a live person. I have asked for a supervisor and a live representative several times nothing Horrible Horrible Service

I cant download my resume

Total scam. Made me pay to download my new resume, tried everything, emailed them, refused to refund.

This company’s practices feel extremely deceptive.

My subscription was renewed without any clear notification, and money was taken from my card without my active consent. When I requested a refund, they refused with unreasonable explanations.

It honestly feels like a trap designed to auto-renew and keep customers’ money. Very misleading and highly untrustworthy.

Be extremely careful before giving them your payment details.

I did not subscribe, but they keep trying to take the subscription fee of my account. I can’t unsubscribe, I sent them an email but they are not even responding.

Scammers! Be aware of them; they charge you without your consent! And they lie about their Trustpilot score on their website!

This company is a scam.
Their website claims that refunds are not allowed, and when I requested a refund within the legal EU withdrawal period, they refused via email. This violates EU consumer protection law. Be very careful before paying.
