Great builder - no hesitation in recommending Build Place

Beams has worked with Build Place on a number of projects now, and they've consistently been one of the most reliable builders on our network. Alex, who runs the company, is hands-on and easy to deal with — he keeps you in the loop at every stage, flags issues before they become problems, and just gets on with the job without drama.

The finish on their work speaks for itself, and timelines have been realistic and actually stuck to, which isn't always a given when it comes to a build.

If you're looking for a builder who communicates well, delivers quality, and doesn't disappear when things get tricky, Build Place is an extremely safe pair of hands. And I'm happy to recommend them.

I recently used a plumbing service…

I recently used a plumbing service through Build Place and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The plumber was friendly and clearly very skilled. They quickly identified the issue and explained everything in a straightforward easy to understand way before carrying out the work.
The job was completed efficiently and to a very high standard and everything was left clean and tidy afterwards. It is not always easy to find reliable tradespeople but this service truly exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional plumber.

Not great experience

I used this company for a bathroom renovation, and unfortunately almost everything that could go wrong did. A very small project ended up taking three months, and the workmanship throughout was disappointing. Multiple elements had to be corrected or completely redone.
In the end, the bathroom doesn’t feel newly renovated at all — it feels like a space that’s been repeatedly patched rather than properly finished.

Thank you, Samuele, for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're genuinely sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations, and we'd like to offer some context for anyone reading.

The main renovation works were completed in approximately one month, followed by a further week dedicated to snagging and finishing — a timeframe within the normal range for a project of this type. Some of the delays were caused by material deliveries outside our control, which extended the overall schedule.

A successful renovation depends on close collaboration between the designer, the contractor, and the client. There were also periods when access to the property was restricted, outside our control, which affected the continuity of work on site. Alongside this, a few changes to materials and finishes were requested along the way, which we were glad to accommodate at no extra cost. We also went beyond the original scope at our own expense to achieve the best possible finish — replacing the vanity unit, redecorating the corridor, and carrying out the wall preparation required for a Level 4 finish, which the agreed painting specification did not include — and we stayed flexible in attending to snags whenever you asked.

We believe a good final standard was ultimately achieved, but we clearly didn't get the experience right for you, and that matters to us. We'll use your comments to keep improving both our communication and our delivery.

Brilliant end to end project

Really appreciated how Alex worked with us on the project. Genuinely helpful advice and always flexible to accommodate our design where possible.
Work was done to a high standard and left tidy at the end of the day.

High quality, real professional.

We were introduced to Alex and he took up the job of completing our bathrooms at short notice and did a brilliant job. His team worked tirelessly to deliver on time and to the highest possible standards. Throughout, Alex’s clear communication on the additional considerations - which arose as his team uncovered and excavated the rooms - made it an incredibly smooth and and stress-free process.
